My faves are the Tropical Mist and anything nitro. Fantastic people. Very knowledgeable folks behind the bar. Crowd is friendly and you'll probably get a doggie visitor. Fantastic space. Love the indoor outdoor vibe.

I've been to slot of breweries in my 20 years of drinking lol This place had automatic good vibes as soon as u walk in The service was great the bartender even let me sample 4 different ipa beers so I could find the right one Haven't tried the food but I'll let u know Try there double hazy ipa I only needed one I was feeling pretty nice

We were visiting family and we were driving by and saw a brewery sign so had to stop. It can be a bit difficult to find parking but found one a few streets away. When you walk in the place was busy and people were enjoying a beer. It is not a large place but there are tables inside and outside. We were greeted right away and asked for some recommendations. We decided on a flight so we could try a few different styles. We found a spot where we could see outside and enjoy all the sights. The beers were good they have many available to go. We sat next to a couple with an older dog who were very friendly.

I'll come down from LA just for Pure Project and I can't go down to San Diego without making a stop at one of their locations. That's how much I enjoy their beers. I've been going since they were limited to their Miramar location. Having been to all of their locations at this point they're all very beautiful. We end up visiting the Carlsbad location the most, as it's the most convenient location on our way up and down from LA. Perfect place to get some food around the area and have a drink before picking up a case to take home. They have a great and varied selection of beers for everyone. I'm a big IPA fan so I tend to lean towards their Diamond Dust as my favorite from their core line. Their specialty releases and collabs are always a hit. Their beers are all uniquely flavored, you can really taste the different elements to their offerings If it's your first time, their flight deals are a great way to try all of their selections. Feel free to ask the staff on recommendations as well. This location has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and very clean. It's the perfect place to grab a drink and take some to-go as well. Excellent vibes all around Definitely one of my favorite breweries!

I love Pure Project Carlsbad. It is always a vibe. Great people and beerkeeps. The service is great. They are always so friendly and positive. Walking distance to the beach. Their address is 2825 State St., Carlsbad, CA 92008. The E.T. Fonio Home was cold and refreshing. It's a Belgian-style witbier with lemon and orange blossom. It is 5.0% ABV. It's on the light side. I also had perezoso. It is a hard smoothie with mango and blueberry. I love Pure Project smoothie beer. They are so refreshing on a hot day. Check it out if you're in Carlsbad. They also have locations throughout San Diego.

I walked from my hotel and it was anlovely walk!. 5 tasters on the flight. Lots of bottle options and barrel aged variety as well. The service was kind and helpful. Just very fast paced! They are crowded on a rainy day and they expedite the line fast! So be ready and know what you want. I actually got out of line and went to the end so I had more time to think lol This place is crowded but cozy. Lots of people and if your introverted you may feel overwhelmed. I really enjoyed my flight and even took a few to go. I would come again but next time, I think I'll come in the daylight.When it's sunny, so there's a little more room to stretch out.

out of 3 breweries explored today in Carlsbad , Pure Project is the only one worth reviewing. location is Amazing! mellow downtown with some ocean breeze filtering in from the other side of the train station. they have a pretty massive selection guaranteed to satisfy the pickiest beer connoisseurs. i went with two 5oz sours. a guava based one and a blueberry based one. the guava one was fantastic. not too sweet or sour. sidewalk seating is nice and so is the open patio on a wooden deck. the decor is easy on the eyes and has a clean but rustic vibe. this place really has it all. service is friendly prices ate normal. definitely check this spot out if exploring deep Orange County beach towns. read more

This place is always amazing and the staff is second to none with an amazing indoor and outdoor environment. Our favorite is their slushies that are served seasonally. The beertenders are always extremely well versed and make the best suggestions when you are unsure of a new flavor or style to try. We travel to Oceanside fairly often coming from close to Las Vegas and always make this a stop every time. 3-25-26 I had the pleasure of speaking with Lauren on the phone, calling before coming, to inquire whether or not they were serving slushies or not. She very politely informed Slushies would not start again until May however they did have similar options and was nice to hear the current availability. About 10 minutes later I received a phone call back, obviously from their caller ID, I could not answer but I was left with a Voicemail. (attached) This is the level of service and going above and beyond that justifies a perfect 5 star review. I wish 6,7 or 10 Stars was an option! Thank you Pure Project! Great service and a wide selection of beers. Sampled a few different types of beers, until I settled for the strawberry vanilla triple IPA. The service here is excellent and theres plenty of places to sit down and enjoy a glass. It is conveniently located right in front of the Amtrack, if you're traveling down to SD via train. read more

Let me start off by saying I can't rate the food because they don't have any. A few things to munch on is all. The service is always friendly and quick to get your drinks poured. The ambiance is perfect brewery by the beach. It's not a big production facility smaller space in the heart of the village with a big patio for sunny days. read more

Love Pure Project beers. I'm a sucker for stouts and Pure has the best ones. And when they have barrel aged ones, even better! Like the one I had yesterday; it was called "In For The Night". This will forever be my brewery of choice. From the eclectic beers, amazing collaborations, frozen hard blushes to the customer service and ambiance, this place takes the cake. Kid and pet friendly (both must be well behaved.) I love to cozy up to the bar, plug in my laptop and finish the tail-end of my workday with one of their Murkys or a high octane barrel aged stouts. For the hop or malt sensitive, they now have wines in the red, white and pink genres. read more

My girlfriend and I checked out this spot for the first time. We ordered 2 flights and grabbed a cool hat. All the beers tasted good. I had 5 total which were Ship Full Sail, Diamond Dus, Hydra Squared Maplesourus, and Harvest of Richess. My favorites were the Ship Full Sail and The Hydra. Ship Full Sail is a pub ale which was malty and nutty in flavor. The Hydra was something I've never tasted before. It was a fruit smoothy but with a small sting to it. We bought a 4 pack of can to take home. It was a great experience going here as it's very close to lots of other places to eat and drink. Service was great! The hat selection was great. If your ever in the carlsbad village and like beer this is a more intimate bar compared to some of the other in the area. The indoor area has plants that are starting to grow on the roof that gives a nature outdoor feel when inside. read more

Established in 2020.

Originally founded in Costa Rica, Pure Project moved to San Diego and opened its doors in the heart of Miramar in early 2016. The Pure Project tasting room at Carlsbad opened in July 2020.

They have a huge variety of beers like crisp lagers, IPAs, rich stouts. They even have a couple of non-alcoholic choices. I'm not a huge beer, drinker, but I am pretty certain that there is something for every kind of beer drinker. There are two different Belgian blondes and I tried them both. Wonderful and refreshing, especially in the hot San Diego weather lately. We ordered from the sandwich shop inside and split a sandwich and some saucy chicken wings--both were amazing! The sandwich was piled high with meat, melty cheese, and just the right crunch from the toasted bread. The wings were flavorful, sticky, and perfectly spicy. It's also dog-friendly, which we love, and there were lots of TVs playing the game, making it a great spot to chill, snack, and cheer. Everyone's super friendly and helpful. It just has a good vibe.

Our server was very friendly and patient but could have been a bit more attentive once we got our food as we ran out of napkins and water and had to flag her down. I had the lamb burger special and it was truly to die for. If I hadn't worried about being too full I could have eaten another because it was so good. I think this should be a regular menu item. It was cooked perfectly and it was truly mouthwatering with all the toppings. Usually I hate buns but this bun was so soft and squishy and NOT dry that I gobbled it down. It came with a side and I was a little disappointed because it lists the sides on the menu and a side salad was one of them but when I got the bill it was extra for the side salad. When I asked she said there is an upcharge for the side salad (which was not noted on the menu). But the salad was great too so no problem! One friend had the pizza which I would not rate as an amazing pizza (I am an East Coaster so I am a pizza snob) but my friend loved it. They had some very cool toppings for their pizzas too. If you are going to go for a really good pizza I wouldn't go here. Come here for the other stuff on the menu. My other friend had the fish and chips and loved it. The portions were all very good sized. I am looking forward to returning - especially if I can get that lamb burger again.

I also tried four heavier, more alcoholic ones: Black's Peach (sour ale--it was sour indeed), Drink This or the Bees Die (Golden Honey--not bad), Sasquack (Belgian--very good), and St. Alfonsos (Imperial Stout at 12.8 ABV--this one was absolutely outstanding but better have a designated driver with you). This place is kid friendly and definitely dog friendly. In fact, there were probably more dogs than humans during our visit and I'm not complaining. Dogs are better than people, as we know. This was on a Friday night and the place was absolutely slammed, which was nice to see. No food available but you can bring in your own grub. Good luck with parking--either free street or residential parking are your only options. Excellent addition to Leucadia. This is a good spot.

I had a delish super healthy salad I can't recall the name of but it had all sorts of yummy stuff. Unfortunately I had to drive so no beer tastings but once we got to San Diego airport and I realized there was a Stone Brewing offshoot there, I had a delicious hazy IPA I think actually had "delicious" in the name. I'd absolutely return to the Escondido location if I were in the area again, just on ambience alone. If I lived in the area, my husband and I would probably be there every weekend.

The ramen broth was "chef's kiss" with so much flavors, the crab rangoon were jumbo and the filling was delicious, but the chicken katsu was also the best we have had anywhere (including Hawaii). The breading was just top tier crunchy while the chicken was thick and juicy. There isn't one bad thing I could say about this place, from the service to the food, I would make the drive out here again. I liked how the clam chowder is peppery and piping hot, but it's also fairly bland and runny. It had a very watery consistency. Thankfully, that fresh sourdough saved this meal. On ambiance, Pelly's Fish Market & Cafe (Carlsbad) is clean and comfortable. There's plenty of tables. There's also a gender neutral restroom in the back. My girlfriend and I recently discovered this amazing place, and we're already hooked! The moment we walked in, we felt the friendly vibes and loved the place's layout, with both indoor and outdoor seating areas perfect for a relaxing afternoon. But what really stole the show was their incredible beer selection - they had some of the best West Coast and hazy beers I've tried recently, and the Ode to OG was hands down one of my favorites! After trying a couple of flights, we grabbed a crowler and some cans. All the beers were fantastic, but we also enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly bartenders. The staff was knowledgeable and gave great recommendations on food in the area, which was helpful since we were traveling. We were actually starting our trip in Oceanside, and the "spirit animal" bartender gave us an excellent recommendation for a local spot that was a highlight of our trip.
