I made my own shrimp and grits the second time around as most of the things here are fried sadly like all the "hype spots". The drinks are SUPER strong which is amazing just make sure to drive accordingly. The only good service I've gotten is from 2 specific servers ( one being the bartender ) . The hostesses are EXTREMELY rude and always ask about a reservation even though the place is never fully packed. Had an ok visit to this establishment for Saturday brunch . Unfortunately the best aspect was the DJ. He was spinning the hits and jamming. The venue had an elegant atmosphere and modern decor. They did offer $5 mimosas so that was a great deal. The mimosas were great. I had the chicken and waffles and it was just plain. The chicken was no better than Popeyes. The waffle was a little undercooked and bland. My girl had the all American platter and said it was just ok but nothing to rave about. I also felt like we had to keep looking for our server and ended up asking other servers 3 different times for drink refills and the check. We visited Pure Social Bar & Grill for the first time last Saturday evening for a 60th birthday celebration. It was a very chill vibe with great music, food, drinks and service. Our server (Jayla) did a fantastic job taking care of our table! We loved the dining area ambiance and there is an enclosed patio area available for dining unless it is reserved for private events. We decided on a variety of appetizers (wings, salmon bites, shrimp tacos and pizza) for the table and it was plenty - and very tasty. The music was a nice mix of old and new R&B. They have good happy hour specials and the plating of the food is Instagram-worthy (try the grilled shrimp tacos and the collard greens dip)! From my understanding this spot is relatively new so there of course will be a lot of improvements needed. I went on Saturday for the R&B night and although the vibes were there they were extremely busy and unable to keep up with the crowd. When we first sat down our server told us the kitchen was closed, which sucked because I was starving and we reserved a table ( $40 ) to guarantee we had a place to sit and eat. After about 20 min the kitchen opened an extremely limited menu. We ordered salmon sliders, reg wings and greens dip. Everything was good just a little heavy on the salt. For drink I ordered whiskey sour and it took about 30 min for the first round of drinks to come. Food and drinks came out at the same time. I was going to give this place 4 stars, but after checking my receipt, I'm confused how a large-party fee of $46 was charged for only two people. Spoke with the manager, who then spoke with the owners. She informed me that due to New Year's Eve, everyone was charged a 20% gratuity. I asked why this was not disclosed beforehand. She stated that for special events the gratuity is 20%, and on normal days it is 15%. I expressed concern about being charged an increased amount without prior notification to the customer. I'm on a mission to try every happy hour in the DFW and this place was good to come to. At first our seating placement was bad because of a large party and our table was really small from all the food we ordered. IMO ask questions before making table RSVP's so you want be disappointed when you arrive. Yonna, our server did an excellent job making sure we got everything we needed and were comfortable. Her customer service is outstanding. The food was really good didn't like the pizza that much but overall satisfying. I will be back to get the full experience. They do have outdoor seating and DJ as well and hookah. Ceddy the hookah lady was super nice and attentive to making sure our hookah was good and even refreshed our coals without asking. Pure Social has a great vibe, and the food never disappoints -- that's why I continue to visit. The atmosphere is always enjoyable and makes for a good night out. Unfortunately, my experience with management has been inconsistent. With only three booths available, it was frustrating to be separated after paying for two booths, especially when we called days in advance and again 30 minutes before arrival to confirm they would be back-to-back. We were told because a "regular" patron, who is friends with the owner, requested the middle booth. While the manager did offer a complimentary bottle of champagne, which we appreciated, it felt unprofessional to later ask if another patron could take our second paid booth. That moment made it seem like guest experience was secondary to profit. Great food and vibe, but management needs to do a better job honoring reservations fairly. read more

Pure Social is a nice little spot with a welcoming atmosphere. It is on the smaller side, but it never seems to get overly crowded, which makes it easy to enjoy. One of the best things about this place is that everyone is welcomed -- all ages feel comfortable here -- and the music (mainly R&B) really sets a good vibe. The drinks and food are on the pricier side. Personally, I wasn't too impressed with the food, but I wouldn't call it bad either. I just know for us, it works better to eat before we go and enjoy drinks and the atmosphere once we're there. The drinks themselves are fine, but the cost makes you think twice about whether they're truly worth it -- I'll let you be the judge of that. As for reservations, we've always made them out of habit, but honestly, it doesn't seem necessary. We usually arrive around 10 pm and there's still plenty of seating available. Service has always been positive. Our waitresses have consistently been attentive and nice, which definitely adds to the overall experience. Overall, Pure Social is more of a spot we visit for the vibe than for the food. If you're looking to hang out, listen to good R&B, and enjoy a drink or two, it's worth checking out. I keep hoping to love this spot, but each visit brings a new disappointment. While the venue's aesthetic and cleanliness are excellent, the operational issues are glaring and make it difficult to support. The most persistent problem is the slow service, frequently compounded by frustrating new rules or uncommunicated charges that sour the experience. For a business asking patrons to support local, the consistent lack of good customer service and unpredictable nature is a major hurdle. Beyond the poor service, the value proposition is lacking. Most items are significantly overpriced, and the drink menu is often a confusing à la carte mess. I'm happy to pay a premium for quality and attentive service, but this establishment provides neither. The menu inconsistency is also notable. Across three recent visits, the kitchen was out of a major item: first chicken, then pound cake, and then another main menu staple. As one of the area's few restaurants of its kind, they have a lot of potential. Implementing better staff training and kitchen preparation would be essential steps toward becoming a viable local favorite. read more

I have been a patron of your establishment for quite some time and I would appreciate a moment to speak with the owner about the atrocious treatment of whomever the little white person of the evening was. He was very rude, disrespectful, and created an embarrassing scene to force me and my companions out. They were very kind and attentive, and as I was looking for drink specials for happy hour they assured me that the items on the menu would allow for drink specials and offered great specials along with the happy hour food items. Although, I was there early... I invited friends from Fort Worth, Waxahachie, and Plano...after work..... and we enjoyed a beautiful time at Pure Social as I had enjoyed several times prior. Around 8ish pm, (AFTER I PAID MY $150 BILL!!!)... my friends and I were informed that the table we had been sitting at was reserved..... to my surprise, I questioned as to how the table we had been sitting at the whole time had been reserved and we had no knowledge of it...... this took me by surprised and I questioned as to why this wasn't communicated when I was seated there for happy hour..... then whomever that "person" that was there directed Ms. Nina and the hostess that we had been there too long and had to move.... things then began to go terribly...... Please contact me ASAP.... to speak. I feel disrespected and viewed as if I did something wrong, when all I needed was kind and respectful communication. I patron often, pay my bill, and others bill (which I was accused as to not wanting to pay my bill by that person), and I have witnesses and video to refer this horrible experience in a place I have enjoyed, appreciate, celebrate, and promote. My partner and I visited Pure Social House for WingWednesday; Poetry night, paid $15 just to enter, which was fine, but the experience went downhill from there. We waited over 30 minutes to sit down--annoying, but manageable. The real issue was the terrible service when trying to order food, even the drinks honestly. The guy didn't know who to bring the drinks to!! Our waiter repeatedly forgot what we asked for and messed up our order multiple times not bringing not food or sides we placed. At that point, I just gave up on eating and stuck with my drink. My partner was able to get his jerk wings, but how hard was it to remember buffalo ?? It's clear this place is understaffed and can't handle the crowd they're bringing in. If you're going to charge a cover fee and pack the place, you need enough staff to actually serve customers properly. Won't be coming back unless they make serious improvements. read more

She acted very irritated when we asked her for drinks or napkins. We could hear her mumbling under her breath. We came as a group and stayed almost until close on Saturday night. Towards the end of the night she walked in from the patio and I was behind her going to the bathroom and I overheard her saying she wanted - "refund for the night" and then proceeded to say we were a waste of her time. Me and my friends came to have a good time, we came to spend money, we came to tip for good service. We all had 15% gratuity as stated and posted. That's fine! But I want the service I'm paying for. My friends and I will tip above gratuity. But for someone to walk around and act like they hate their job or that we were an Inconvenience to her is absurd. As a business owner if she were my employeee she would be fired. She had bad energy and had a very nasty attitude. If she doesn't like her job or serving she should find a new one. I know next time I go in I will ask the sweet host Misty for any server accept for sofi. I would like coming to this establishment but I assure you sofi is not an asset to your business.
