Over a very loud Saturday dinner, we enjoyed a tasty and lively dinner. Wait time was less than 30 minutes so next time, we will return during the week. Parking is limited, we parked at their catering space next door. Having lived in Texas, paying for chips and salsa is almost sacrilegious. Fish tacos were yummy and they made me veggie taco salad without issue. The salsa was a great healthy salad dressing for me. House made corn tortillas were good if a bit tough. We showed up on Wednesday early afternoon for a lunch date. We were seated and waited a little while foor our server to show up. When Kennedy (our server ) showed up he handed us a couple of waters and then dissapeared. When he finally showed up he took our food order but never asked if we wanted drinks (other than the provided waters). The food finally came out and the empanadas had too much dough and were undercooked. The fish tacos had way too mant carrots in them and I felt like I was eating a salad. We would have loved to get a couple of margaritas but the offer for drinks never came. We hadn't been here in a while and had forgotten how bad the service was. We hope this gets passed on to the management and the server since he could have made a bigger tip and a bigger sale. We can go to other Taquerias and get better food and service. read more

I cannot tell you how many times I've been to this taqueria. I remember when the first location opened up back in Alpharetta way back in 2005 and I used to walk to it with my best friend because her and her family lived just around the corner (and we were too young to drive). The food has always been incomparable when it comes to other local Mexican restaurants. Their menu is great because they have their own take on Mexican staples like their quesadillas which are described more like turnovers. It pains me to share this but my favorite dish was actually removed from the menu a while ago. Originally, I was told they were going to become seasonal, but that wasn't the case post-pandemic. Ah, Fritangas de Jaiba, how I miss you so! They were these incredible crab fritters under their appetizer list and they had the most creamy, citrusy/spicy, delicious sauces drenched overtop. *chefs kiss x1000* Now, I typically order their chicken empanadas or the empanadas del dia - they are all great! Their sopa de pollo y limon is their take on chicken tortilla soup and it is also incredible! It has become my favorite soup to pick up if I feel like I'm coming down with a cold, and also just great on a cool winter evening. Their chicken taquitos are great, too. As for the drinks - I literally won't go anywhere else for a margarita. The bar is always full (usually full of regulars), and the drinks don't stop coming. Their skinny margarita is the best I've ever had because it's made with the purest (get it?), simplest ingredients. All I want in a skinny marg is fresh lime juice, agave and good silver tequila and Pure does just that. Their "Skinny Love" is my new favorite with muddled strawberries and basil (sometimes I even sub out the tequila for Tito's). The Sedgwick family owns some of my favorite restaurants around Alpharetta/Milton/Roswell, so I highly recommend checking out any. Pure is a great place to start! read more

We just went to this Pure location after 15 years and must I say it. was fantastic. Like everything. We had fish tacos which were fresh. The green salsa was perfect, tangy and spicy. I usually don't eat mexican rice but theirs is really good and wasn't mushy. Our waiter must have had telepathy because he knew whenever we needed anything. The restaurant and location is a happening area in downtown Alpharetta and they have this small palm tree in the front. They also open up all the panels so you feel like you're on vacation. I ran into a really good former coworker who I haven't seen in a long time which was nice. This place is usually packed on the weekends so we were happy to get a table middle of the week. read more

A delightful lunch spot, Pure taqueria has fresh and delicious options with plentiful outdoor seating options. Coming from Southern CA, I had mild expectations for Mexican food a little farther from the border, but the chilaquiles were up to par and so beautifully presented! Prices are on the higher side, but correlate with high-quality, fresh ingredients, and it seems consistent with inflation and Alpharetta prices. The salad stood out with an aesthetically pleasing balance of colors and gustatorily satisfying balance of flavors--glad I got to trade for a taste with my family members. The staff generously provided a light and fluffy key lime pie for my grandma's birthday, which I think she preferred over her barbacoa tacos. Service was standard but also with a touch of generosity as mentioned with the complimentary dessert. Outdoor dining was refreshing: despite being right next to the road, the cars were not whipping by too quickly, and the green of GA still shines through. Would definitely want to come back for lunch to enjoy the al fresco dining here. read more

Fish tacos were pretty good but could have used more fish. Beans and rice were ok. House margaritas were good. Chips and salsa are not included as in most Mexican restaurants. The upcharge would be ok but we personally didn't care for the chips that were very crunchy, hard and thick. The accompanying salsa and tomatillo were good. Service was slow and waitress seemed inexperienced and apologetic. Atmosphere was loud, all hard surfaces, floor, tables, chairs, plus music speakers all over forcing us to speak loudly to be heard. I have been eating here for 20 years. Great food, fantastic margaritas, kid friendly, plenty of gluten free options.

We were able to call ahead and put our name in on a Friday night. It was a 30 minute wait for our party of 6. We arrived and it started raining (they were going to sit us outside) so they scrambled and opened up the porch in their neighboring facility to speed up the time. We ended up sitting inside at t round table in the left corner, which was great because we had windows on all sides of us and were able to see the whole restaurant interior. The kitchen was running behind, so our server advised us to order when she came back from getting our drinks. And we did just that. We started with the chips and added their queso. We also go the guacamole, which was a huge portion and also came with chips. For my entree, I had the pastor tacos. I got three, but would have been fine with just two since they are pretty decent in size. The cilantro rice it came with was amazing as well! The food came pretty quickly actually so we were pleased in that regard. read more

Eyal is one of the best servers I've had in a very long time. It's clear that he takes pride in his job and serving others. He was so kind, so helpful, and such a likable personality. He talked us into ordering the smoked salmon appetizer, which wasn't even on our radar, but it ended up being a favorite I will crave and I will return to Pure for that alone. He went over the top to ensure that we had a nice birthday outing. Kindness and generosity goes a long way. They handle gluten allergies so well. They even have GF chips if you request them! (Each morning before they open, they fry up some tortilla chips in a fresh batch of oil before it has been cross contacted with gluten items. What a kind extra step they take to accommodate people with serious allergies.) Pure has been a favorite of mine for many years now, and it has stood the test of time. For now on, I'll be asking for Eyal and ordering whatever he suggests. read more

Pure is a good spot for lunch or dinner. Located in DT Alpharetta and a bit off the beaten path the food is good, service has been very consistent for us and we enjoy it there. A few downsides as the bar area is not at all feasible for multiple people to hangout. If it gets too crowded you'll most likely be sitting on someone's lap at their table. They have been seating people outside by their storage house (lack of a better term) and I'm not a fan of sitting out there. Also parking can be a challenge during peak hours. Good food good drink, bad management. Great server, no issues. Went outside to vape, asked to move away from the door by the FOH manager, no worries, moved away from the door! We work in the industry. Came back in, felt the vibe was off. Closed out with our server (had no issues with him or the experience at the time) decided 1 quick shot at the bar. Chatted with a regular while we waited for said shot. No issues there. The restaurant is pretty empty and quiet at this point. Just a lull in the evening. We are still chatting at a respectful volume with said regular about his traveling pictures. Got randomly cut off through brand new manager from aforementioned manager (he didn't know why, said he'd visit at our restaurant) We all were confused but said nothing because again, industry, but very confused on what was going on. Don't like causing an issue in house, won't mention names. Won't be back even though I've been there before a couple times in the past. I love Pure, my friends and I go there very often. I always get chips, queso and guac and margaritas to start. Their tacos are really good. Just one day my friends and I ordered shrimp and it came burned to the point where we couldn't eat it, when we complained waitress said "that's how we serve it". It was completely burned but ok, waitress agreed to not charge for it and give us something else. Apart from that, everything else I eat in there is always very good! read more

Pure Taqueria was one of our choices to celebrate National Margarita Day! I was very excited to go here, however, after my experience began in the parking lot I lost that excitement quickly! First off, the parking at this location is horrible if you go to during any prime time or an event. I circled the parking lot probably for 15 minutes before I found parking. My friends were already inside of the restaurant and when I gotten in we still had not received our waters nor had placed any drink orders. In short, this visit which should have taken an hour took almost 2 for a group of 4. Their menu options are very slim. The appetizer that I ordered (shrimp, tomatoes, bread, sausage) is okay; however, I wasn't impressed. I'm sure that this restaurant has great service when they are not so crowded, but not being able to properly accommodate us for lunch really makes me not want to try it again. read more
