I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new place to get my eyebrows done. This business had great reviews and it's close to my house, so I decided to give it a try. When I walked in, I was barely greeted, which I didn't mind too much. However, I ended up waiting over 20 minutes because the owner chose to take a girl who came in after me simply because she knew her. I then had to continue waiting while they chatted. When it was finally my turn, the owner quickly directed me to the other woman doing brows instead of taking me herself. I'm assuming she realized how that looked after having me sit there while she took someone who arrived later. Another concern I had was that the scissors were not cleaned between clients. Also, the woman doing my brows applied rose water to my face without asking first. I have sensitive skin and always decline having products applied to my face, so this caught me off guard and made me uncomfortable. My previous brow artist always asked before putting anything on my skin. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the experience. Being dismissive of customers and disrespectful of their time, especially as the owner, is not something I would expect. It's a shame because I was genuinely excited to try this place, but I won't be returning or recommending this place ever. read more

I got there on time at 11 which is when they open and no one was there. I waited a few minutes and someone finally showed up and after i asked for the women who had done my eyebrows the first i got them done here i was told she would be arriving in a few minutes and only one women showed up only to be talked about and i waited a few more minutes until i got up and asked for the women name to who had me wait and i then waited for her to come outside since she was in a room and i asked her did she dye her hair because i remember it being a dark color since she had her hair tied up the first time i came in to get my eyebrows done and she said no and she proceeded to tell me that she remembers doing my eyebrows without hesitation which i should have left right there but i came in uber and i did not want to waste more time and money so i asked if she could do my eyebrows and she said yes she did my eyebrows aggressively and charged be more than what i paid for the first time. read more

Had a very good experience with Ines. Walked in with only a 5m late as she was finishing up with another client. When it was my turn, I told her my eyebrows are very thick and get out of control/shape easily therefore I just want a clean up. She did a great job! Took about 10-15 minutes. She used thread and then trimmed the hair. It was my first visit and I am very happy! They gave me a stamp card so I am definitely going back! It takes a lot for me to venture over the hill. I've been to see Pouri twice in the last 2 weeks to get the following treatments: eyebrow thread, bikini wax, under arm wax, and the fruit peel facial. These are pretty intimate treatments to get. This review could easily go TMI so I'm really going to choose my words carefully. Pouri is a sweetheart! So friendly and warm. If I'm going to be naked from the waist down (tmi?), it's important for me to be extremely comfortable with the person who does my waxing. I was at ease with Pouri right away. Her technique is very gentle. She also uses a special wax that is gentler on the skin. For threading it was important that I found someone who listened to me. I've been threading for years now having tried all other ways (all others) and I prefer threading. I told Pouri I'm trying to grow out my eyebrows so she just cleaned them up. My facial was on-par with facials I've received at high end spas. For half the price of course. Don't get me wrong, it's no Burke-Williams; I got my facial behind a partition but I didn't mind because I was the only person there. There is plenty of parking. Metered parking right out front for $.50 cents to park for a hour...take note Santa Monica!! Behind the building, there is a large free parking lot. The entrance to the free lot is off Haynes just right down from the front of the store. Of course I would prefer if Pouri was in the westside but I sure don't mind those Valley prices! Eyebrow thread for $7, can't beat that. I'll be back monthly for all my treatments. I already have it scheduled. read more

I used to come here when I lived a few blocks away, but I still come after moving to Woodland Hills because it's the only place that can make my sparse brows look good! I've been to many threading places but have only had luck with this one, I guess others are used to dealing with people with hairier brows. So lucky to have found this place. I never thought getting my eyebrows threaded ($12) would be such a luxurious experience! This place is walk-in friendly and I didn't have a reservation. As soon as I came inside the woman was already threading someone's eyebrows but she offered me complimentary coffee while I waited. I've never had that offered to me at a threading salon! When it was my turn to get my eyebrows threaded, she gave me hand sanitizer for my hands (I assume to clean my hands before I had to hold my eyebrows to get threaded) and placed wax paper behind my head on the chair. SO SANITARY. My mind was completely blown. I'm used to getting my eyebrows done in NY where they treat you terribly, mess up your eyebrows, and send you off on your way. Man what a wonderful experience. As for the threading, they did an excellent job! I didn't take a picture of my eyebrows beforehand because they were just terrible and grew in poorly. But this eyebrow threader worked magic and I was so happy with how they came out. I absolutely love this place and now it's my go to anytime I'm in LA! read more

Ynez (may have misspelled) still took her time and was very thorough. Very clean environment and you get a stamp card where your 10th visit is free.I greatly appreciated it she took her time to provide feedback and care instructions to help grow out my eyebrows. The woman who helped me was so nice and even gave me a tissue before I started sneezing! Pricing is a little high $12.75 for credit card. Tips only in cash. But it's worth it for how good and through she was. The eyelash extensions are a STEAL. $120 for the first set and $60 refills. You won't find a better deal in LA.
