I'd driven by Cindy nails over 100 times having lived in the Valley. Always wanted to stop. Finally did for a very much needed mani-pedi. I'll say that while the staff seemed friendly, the work was not. I wish I'd just placed my glasses on while they were doing the work. The pedicurist's massage was great!! Her work on trimming my toenails wasn't thorough. I asked for the big toe to be trimmed. After the polish. She did so, used the buff but I noticed later that the edge was rough. The callous removal was mediocre. The manicurist's massage wasn't good. As you can see from the pics neither was the polish work. The pedi polish was a bit better than the mani but still sloppy in places. On my way out I saw a woman getting designs that were beautiful. I still will not go back. AVOID at all costs!!!! I had a terrible experience at this nail salon. I called ahead and explained I needed a single nail fixed before they closed. They told me to come in so they could see the nail. When I arrived shortly after, they informed me they were closing. I asked why they didn't tell me that over the phone, and they simply ignored me. One person vaguely said, "We're actually closing," but no one took responsibility or tried to offer any explanation. I asked who was in charge, and they told me the owner was on vacation and that no one else was in charge. They refused to address the issue or even acknowledge my concerns. I have never in my life, walked out of a nail salon. I walked in asking for a manicure, and the woman who began did not file my nails correctly, so the nail polish was super clumpy around the edges my nails, and she left polish all over my fingers. I tried explaining that the nail polish did not look clean, and I needed her to clean the edges of my nails, she then freaked out And started to raise her voice telling me that I should've done a nail manicure versus polish, which had nothing to do with the poor job that she did. She then proceeded to get very angry as she was angrily cleaning my nails and continue to have a temper about it. It was the worst experience I've ever had at a Salon. Horrible! I asked for regular acrylic nails and the person who did my nails didn't know what they were doing. She added way too much powder to the nails, it was extremely thick. She said she would file them but there was way too much powder that it couldn't be fixed. She spent over 30 minutes trying to fix it. Paid $55 for the worst set of nails I have ever gotten. Owner shouldn't say they can do a service if they can't do it. Clearly this person didn't know what they were doing. I wouldn't recommend this place. Cindy Nail Spa is very friendly. They took me as a walk-in which was great! They are extremely fast which is good and bad. I had to ask the person helping me to adjust the shape of filing my nails a few times. Sometimes you just have to be very adamant and I didn't want to be needy as a walk-in but I left with an odd shape that wasn't the same on each finger. Some were rounded and some more round/square. Their gel manicure with tip was almost $60, and I think next time I'd prefer to do on my own or at least file my nails on my own. Because I booked an appointment with Cindy and spoke with her over the phone. I insisted that I wanted to do my nail extensions only with Cindy and asked twice. She said, "Yes, I am Cindy, but I'm not available at 10. Please come at 2:00." When I arrived, Cindy said she had never spoken to me on the phone and had no time to do my nails. I'm gonna rate it 2 stars cause I've been here before and had a good experience but today was terrible. I came on for a very simple gel x removal on my big toe. I told the woman multiple times that my natural nail is short so I'd like it to just be SOAKED OFF. She kept putting the drill on my toe and i can't understand why. The only thing i can think of is that she was just too impatient to let the acetone sit on my toe (even though they were NOT busy & i wasn't in any type of rush). Worst experience ever. All I wanted was dip nails with no UV light because it irritates my skins. But the nail technician keep telling me that if the UV light is not used then there is "NO WARRANTY," that the dip will last. I told her I just don't want to use the light. Edit: I'd very much like to respond to Cindy's blatantly untrue response to my review. I had NO complaint about waiting 20 minutes as I made clear in my review. I did NOT have a callus removal as she stated. I was new to the salon and didn't know what the levels of service were called but I made it clear that I wanted the lowest level, the most basic service they offered with no extras. I even said I would be happy to get "the works" the next time I came in. When I went to pay I was told that I had asked for "The Basic". Ironic and shady that the lowest level of service is NOT called "The Basic", so they could justify charging me more when it was clear that I wanted to lowest level but did not know the actual name they called it. I did have gel on SEVEN total nails but was charged the same as if I had 20 and two were pried off by Ricky in a manner that not only was painful but damaged my nail as well. But ALL of this would have been fine - I wouldn't have even been upset at being overcharged if the manicure had lasted longer than TWO DAYS. Cindy is BLATANTLY lying when she says I wasn't told TWO WEEKS, because I most certainly was - not once but twice. Now, I've had enough manicures in my life that I know that nothing can be guaranteed and if this $80 manicure had lasted even a week or 8 days it would have been acceptable. But it lasted TWO DAYS. That is unacceptable under ANY circumstances and for Cindy to come on here and lie about what happened, what I asked for and what was said, instead of offering to redo this manicure just shows they do not stand by their work or their word. Would I accept a redo? Absolutely not. The funeral is over and due to their shoddy work I looked like trash. But that's not the point. A good company stands by their work and doesn't lie about the facts. And I have time stamped and dated photos that show this peeling and chipped manicure two days later. They ruined my nails. If you're a regular customer and are satisfied with the quality of the work here I feel bad for you. When i originally wrote this review I was too angry to go into details but here goes. The man that did my nails must have been a mortician previously because of the way he kept flinging my hands around roughly like I was a dead body or something. Everything he did was rushed and sloppy. He definitely doesn't know how to file nails because every single one is a different shape and length. At one point during the service he did ask me if it looked ok, when I looked at my hands I was literally mortified so I didn't respond to him immediately. I was thinking of how to politely tell him that I wasn't happy with his work but before I had a chance to speak he turned to the boss Cindy and in a condescending tone said to her "ohh she's not sure if it's good." Sir, your work is FAR from good, far from even being acceptable. At that point I was no longer interested in communicating with anyone at this establishment, all I wanted was for my manicure to be finished so I could leave. Unfortunately I'm stuck with this shit job of a manicure until I can go see my regular nail tech. Stay away from this place. Update: Was contact via telephone and Yelp by the "boss" Cindy apologizing and offering to redo my gel mani for free. Sorry lady but yesterday was my one and only free day for the next 2 weeks and I desperately needed a good manicure, you failed at your job and I don't have time to return for you to attempt to correct it. So my response is "No thank you". This is just a friendly reminder to the business owner that the first impression is the only one that counts. read more

DO NOT LET THE MEN DO YOUR NAILS!!! I rarely write bad reviews, but I have to warn all women... the men here are terrible at nails. I recently got a gel nail manicure here by one of the men, after 2 days both my index fingers chipped, and I went to have them fixed... today is day 9 of a gel manicure, and you can see from the images that the quality just isn't there. It's been only 7 days for my redone index fingers, and both are chipped AGAIN. The women here do an AMAZING job. I love Anne, but the men are terrible. When you spend $36 for a gel manicure, they should at least last you 2 weeks. In the past I've had them last me 3 (just grown out). The quality of my current manicure just isn't there.
