If you're looking to pay $15 per class for someone to tell you to lay on the floor and breath in one nostril and out the other for 30mins this is the place for you! I signed up for a Vinyasa class and at 26mins in we were still on the floor being told to breath. I ended up leaving because I wasn't getting anything from the class. The lady at the front desk asked if everything was ok and I said that I expected a Vinyasa class since that is what's listed online. She said "oh well it's a slowed down version of vinyasa." The website does not say anything about it being "slowed down". It states "Vinyasa". I explained that's a false representation of the class that is actually being offered and asked for a refund. She refunded my money which I appreciated, but this was a terrible experience and a complete waste of my time. I suggested they update their website to reflect the classes they are actually offering. She said she would tell the owner of my suggestion. I won't be back. read more

What a surprise to find such a darling yoga studio in Yuba City of all places. I'm a certified 300 hr yoga teacher in mixed styles, with a specialty in rehabilitation from injuries, and restorative yin practice. I was visiting some family and experienced "pure joy" when I discovered this studio. I love their little crystal shop (bought a ton), their kitty cat who joins the practice, and they even have treatment rooms for massage and crystal light therapy where you can lay on top of a table that has huge pieces of amethyst under it. I wasn't in town long enough to try their additional treatments, but made it to different classes 5 or 6 times. Everyone there was super chill and laid back. Polite and kind. Beautiful environment. And they're right next door to the BEST grocery store in the area New Earth market. If you're in need of your Whole Foods usual goodies, you will not be disappointed. Yoga, reiki, massage, qi gong/tai chi, crystals, cute kitty cat, and an awesome market makes this part of Yuba City the hottest spot in town!! My only constructive feedback and the only reason I deducted a star was for the quality of the actual yoga classes, creativity and tempo. They are absolutely lovely people,, but cues were sometimes wrong or just awkward. Or a little too repetitive. Sometimes they'd have you hold a pose for a really long time and not cue the next asana to relieve those muscles or balance out both sides of the body. I say this with love and kindness in my heart for the teachers to keep exploring their practice. You're doing great! Keep exploring more! I know Yuba City doesn't have much choice in yoga studios, but I've learned a ton from a bunch of teachers on YouTube alongside my teacher training experience. I was looking for a ways to better manage my PTSD when a friend recommended yoga. I decided to take advantage of the FREE week of classes for new students. I started by attending the New Student Orientation and Yoga Basics taught by Tirzah. I couldn't have asked for a better first time experience. Her welcoming presence and warm smile made me feel comfortable with trying yoga for the very first time. The second class was called Restore and it was taught by Andrea. This class helped ease my mind and body. I was able to reduce my anxiety and stress immensely. Andrea provided excellent one on one attention and made me feel confident by the end of the class. She shows real passion in her style and you'll leave her class feeling wonderful. My final class was VinYin and it was taught by Niki. I started attending classes at PureJoy Yoga in mid January. So far I'm really enjoying it. The instructors are very knowledgeable and don't make you feel awkward especially if you're a beginner like me. The studio cute, clean and relaxing. It does get a little cramped when there are a lot of people in one session, but we make it work. I'm currently going to the Hatha and Gentle classes and plan on working my way up to the more advanced classes when I'm comfortable. Right now I'm trying the 30 days for $30 offer. I recommended you do this if you're a beginner as well. After that it's $50 a month to become a member. The classes are usually a full hour, sometimes a little more. You definitely work up a sweat so make sure to bring a water bottle/towel. If you're interested in yoga and live in the area, you should really try the Yoga Basics class on Friday nights. read more

I absolutely love this studio. They have a very warm and welcoming environment as well as a wide variation of classes! So far I have enjoyed their Restorative Yoga, Hatha, and Pure Sculpt and I look forward to trying more classes! Also they give teachers a discount which I LOVE as a teacher in the community. You can also expect to get plugged in locally through this studio. I was able to join in on a hike in the Sutter Buttes through private property which was put on by the studio for FREE! Revised: I was super excited to find a studio that offered a mommy and me class. I registered and paid $10 for a one time class on-line a week prior to the class. I relieved a conformation by email. You can also view you scheduled classes on their website. I arrived at the class 15 minutes before the schedule class time. I traveled 25 minutes to get to the class with an 11 week old baby. The studio was closed. I waited until the time the class was scheduled to start. I called the studio and left a message. I waited a few more minutes and still no one showed. The studio requires you uphold their 24 hour cancellation policy but does not offer the same courtesy to you. I did receive a phone call later in the day letting me know my money had been refunded. Two weeks later: I received a very nice letter of apology from the studio. There took responsibility and offered a nice condolence. I look forward to given you another try. I am in the process to get a massage and take a class but went in to book and they got me an appointment same day for my husband. There was a small mix up and massage needed to be rebooked. However the woman I spoke to was very apologetic and kind and really strives to make sure we were happy and we are! My body has never felt so good than it does now since ive started practicing yoga. They have a new client deal 30 days for $30 and I signed up right when they started their 30 day challenge for the new year. I used to not even be able to hold myself in a plank without my wrists hurting.. After a week of practicing it went away. I feel so much stronger and I love all the girls who work there. Everyone's so nice! I also dislocate both my shoulders and it no longer happens because of yoga. I have so much more mobility and it makes me feel so good. If you're looking for a new studio to practice in or are just looking to try it for the first time I highly recommend it and don't think you'll regret it!!!! read more

I have been going to this peaceful, calm yoga studio for a few months now. I'm so glad I found it. Quality yoga classes taught by good instructors. A variety of classes to choose from. Occasional guest teachers and workshops. It is not competitive here at all; I always feel I can practice at my own pace. I mostly attend the Vinyasa I and II classes. I find them to be quite challenging without being overwhelming. I have feet, ankle, and back issues and am not able to balance very well and some of the poses can be difficult, but the studio provides plenty of blocks, straps, blankets and bolsters to help me modify as needed. The teachers come around and give the students pointers and tips to try to improve your poses which I very much appreciate. Give it a try! read more

Finally! A yoga studio in our area. The second you walk in the studio you feel so welcome. Very nicely decorated. Lots of local art displayed and sold. The bathrooms are very clean. Great clothing selection, oils, deodorants, yoga gear, and so much more. Love the little touches this studio offers from the Cutie mandarins offered to anyone who'd like one, tea, a free library of great books, lots of props! The instructors are fabulous and so many classes are offered including workshops! Very clean and staff is super friendly. Highly recommend!! read more
