With this power, she rewrote the will, disregarding my mother's long-held plans for her family and diverting everything to herself. She allowed her husband to become her Power of Attorney then simultaneously gave his power of attorney his daughter and allowed her to steal and desecrate my mother's wishes. This lawyer's actions were not just unethical but outright predatory, taking advantage of a vulnerable person for personal and/or financial benefit. Therefore, by "being choosier of their clients", they aren't referring to our actual case being complicated or not making enough profit from us, but likely something related to our marriage status, our professions, or something else personal.
