    Combination Pizza

"Purple Pepper Pizza" offers a fair pizza at affordable prices. This pizza place is located in a small strip mall across the street from Oakland Technical High School (aka "Oakland Tech"). The other day, I ordered a Medium Supreme Combination Pizza for $20.99. Straight off the menu, no added toppings. This is an average pizza at best. It looks great, but the dough isn't very airy. The crust isn't crispy. It's like someone used a pre-made pizza dough, and just rolled it out. Honestly, it's just like eating a frozen pizza from the supermarket. So, it's an OK pizza at a fair price.

We finally ordered from Purple Pepper Pizza after being in the neighborhood for a while now. It doesn't look like much on the outside but their pizza was really good and fresh for a reasonable price too. We ordered the cheese garlic bread and the make your own pizza with salami, pepperoni and jalapeño. Everything was delicious, hot and fresh just like your classic takeout pizza. It was also priced reasonably, unlike a lot of other local pizza places (I love those places too, don't get me wrong, but always nice to have a budget conscious option). I definitely recommend ordering from here and I will be back in the future too!

I ordered off the online menu through Grubhub. Extra points for the order arriving 10 - 20 minutes earlier than expected. I ordered the garlic bread, tiramisu and a small Claremont pizza. I really liked the garlic bread. It's great to reheat too. The tiramisu had great flavor but melted a little. I stuck it in the refrigerator upon arrival. When I did eat it, it was a little watery, but fine. The pizza is a good pizza. Not too many toppings which included marinated artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes, garlic, feta and mozzarella. No complaints about the amount of cheeses & garlic, but I couldn't taste or see the tomato. Wish there had been more artichokes. If you're looking for something to hit the spot, I would recommend this business.

My husband's and my favorite pizza! Fresh and tasty toppings and a crust that's perfectly chewy yet light!

I picked this place off DoorDash on a Friday without much more info than the name. Big mistake. This place is comparable to pizza at 7-11. You are better off getting a Red Baron from the grocery store. Avoid at all costs. Also two of my wings were a completely different color than the others and the amount of dressing they give you for your salad is enough to cover maybe two leaves of lettuce. Caveat emptor, I guess.

I ordered the strength & my cousin the garlic wings and a margarita. The wings were some of the best I've ever had, fried to perfection and seasoned just right. A huge punch of garlic, which I really enjoy, so wings were 4.9/5. The vegetarian sandwich I ordered was so delicious, the pesto and garlic aioli really added flavor and the fresh warm bread really set it apart 4.8/9, only because the jalapeño was more spicy than pickled. Overall; I rate this place a 4.7/5

It's very casual. Service was ok, but they seemed a little confused or maybe new? Anyway, I got the bone-in quarter dark chicken, medium heat level since I wasn't sure how hot they would go. The bright red chicken comes in a box atop white bread and pickles. The crust (it broke off in chunks) was delicious and not too spicy, and the chicken fresh and tender. I also got a side of greens which was tasty and decent, though not a standout dish. I would definitely come here again.

Quality/Quantity - You have been on my list to visit since you opened. I drink your beers in most (if not all) the local Korean Restaurants in the Bay. And at some non Korean restaurants. Today I enjoyed your Chuseok Porter, well a few of them... This by far was my favorite of all the beers I drank and tasted here. Also tasted the following: Dokkaebi IPA - Light and refreshing. Lemongrass Witbier - I can almost taste the lemongrass, another light and refreshing beer. K-Beer - Again, another light and refreshing beer. My daughter had the Calamansi & Tea Lager - This actually had more flavor then all the beers I drank except my porter. Lastly, my daughter noticed the Hazy IPA, Hazy Seoul. But I could not/did not want to drink any more. I guess I might have to rush over again before they close. For our snacks we got: KFC, Korean Fried Chicken - Not as authentic as I would have preferred. Gimmari - Wow, a home run. It helped that I have never had this before! My daughter says we will go to K-Town next time we are in LA and she will introduce me to Korean "street food." Looking forward to it. Atmosphere - Small local brewery. For their prices, I was expecting something more close to soul food style mac n cheese (even a Popeyes' like version would've been okay enough). Out of everything on my platter, it was the only thing that actually tasted fresh & not reheated. The skin was crispy with a juicy interior. It had a spicy kick to it that wasn't too overbearing.
