DO NOT ORDER HERE: I seriously don't like writing negative reviews for things. If I don't like something, I generally don't say anything. However, I did try to write this business and still haven't gotten a response. I ordered what I thought was a Vegan Greek Goddess pizza on 4/8 and I fully admit, it's my fault that I didn't double check my order, but their website has an error where both the vegan AND non-vegan options show under the vegan menu. So I think that it's a fair mistake to make. Anyway when I arrived to pick up my pizza, the person at the counter told me that they had made an exception for me the first time, but there wouldn't be an exception this time and I would have to pay for another pizza to be made. I'm not a customer frequently enough to remember that there's two different versions of the Greek Goddess pizza, especially when they're both on the vegan menu. I even showed the person helping me that there was an error on the website on my phone and they completely denied the error telling me that the vegan menu is separate (it isn't) and that I'm the only person who's had an issue. Which is just total BS! I only wanted to be treated like a human being. I couldn't believe that they seriously could not see that there's an issue with their website. I was pretty mad, but I did end up paying for a second pizza and I was told that I could have the non-vegan pizza as well, but what am I supposed to do with a pizza I can't eat?! So I basically paid $97 for one pizza and horrible service. The staff ended up having to make 2 pizzas anyway, so how hard would it have been to make me a vegan pizza and have me leave happy instead of pissed off and never coming back?! Food and service horrible I ordered some chicken to go with my pizza. And my chicken was not cooked all the way. I would like my chicken to be crispy. Because the outside the rim of the chicken has mush on it which is fatty skin. So I had to put it back in the oven so I can cook so I can eat it. On top of that when I called to speak to the person who placed my order he told me that I'm no longer able to order food from them anymore because I'm complaining. You would lose so much service over someone complaining because food is not cooked correctly. I did not ask them to make my food over. I just complain and told them what was going on. The right thing they could have done was said hey I'll give you a discount off on your next meal. I just spent $50 on wings and chicken to be upset and have to go on yelp to post a review on my food. Pizza is ok. I got the lunch special with a slice of pepperoni, salad and a can of soda. ($11) They start their suggested tipping at 18%. I ordered a 14" Supreme Combo on a Friday night via the Caviar App. Caviar was offering free delivery with $5.00 promo for orders over $20. Cybelle's says their 14" pizza is a large pizza. How was it? The criteria for a good pizza is: 1)Crust, 2)Toppings and 3) How was it baked? 1) Crust, Grade (3/5): Thin crust with no flavor. Really, the crust has no flavor! 2) Toppings, Grade (5/5): Loaded! Lots of good toppings, spicy pepperoni, crunchy bell peppers, creamy cheese 3) How was it baked? Grade (4/5): It wasn't very crispy for a thin crust pizza. But it wasn't burnt or dry. In general, it's a good traditional style pizza. But their "Large" pizza (14") was considered a medium sized pizza a few years ago. Also, it's not cheap at over $25 for a 14" Supreme Combo. So Enjoy and Support Local Business! read more

My boyfriend lives a few minutes from here and one night we were driving by and didn't see a line so decided to order to go obviously, because covid didn't allow indoor seating (this was a few months ago so i'm unsure if it's open to public for indoor seating!) We called and placed an order, parked up the street. Waited about 15 and I ran in to get it. No line so that was a plus. Customer service was nice! Food was okay. Not bad but not great. We ordered spaghetti & Half and Half Pizza Meat Pie Pizza/Greek Goddess Pizza with chicken! Spaghetti was alright. Nothing special. Sad they don't offer garlic bread with it. OR if they do, they didn't give me mine. Pizza was definitely under cooked so that was a bummer. It had alot of toppings which was a plus but it was all doughy. Not a fan of thick dough esp when it's undercooked! I think I'll be back but I'd make sure to tell them well done on the pizza! A really good pizza place if you want a step up from your ordinary pizza. I usually get the combo which is stacked with toppings. I mean stacked! I tried the chicken pesto pizza recently and that was amazing also. It's a little pricey but I would say worth the cost. They have slices all day which is cool too. read more

I'm your customer, so when there's an issue with DoorDash delivery, I expect you to care about it and help make it right. Period. So, last night, (11/16/22) I ordered delivery from Cybelle's Fruitvale, using DoorDash. The pizzas came with all the toppings completely off the top and smushed all over the insides of the boxes. Of course I contacted DoorDash for my refund and got it quickly. My family suggested I call Cybelle's since I've been a long time customer, ordered thousands of dollars of pizza through them (last night $100 alone) over the last few decades, and have stayed loyal as they underwent changes in ownership. When I worked at the local middle school, I got my fellow teachers to order from them as well. Let's just say, I WAS a good customer. Not anymore tho... I called them and spoke to the manager who interrupted me immediately and told me to call DoorDash. I'm not stupid. I'm calling you because I expect you to care and try to make it right with me, since I got an inedible delivery! Instead, the guy proceeds to bad mouth DoorDash, tells me he "can't do anything about it" and just cuts me off the entire time. What the *bleep* kind of customer service is this?? Did I get mad? Did I get loud? Of course! Last time I checked, the money goes to Cybelle's, so you should care when something goes wrong! I'm fine with blaming DoorDash but they didn't argue with me, you did! So what did I expect by calling them? "Hey that sucks. I'm going to contact DoorDash and complain with you. What can I do right now to try and help you out?" That's it and that's all I wanted to hear. I do not need to hear your complaints about DoorDash because last time I checked YOU chose to use them. I'm YOUR customer, no matter what, who, or how it arrives. You're responsible. Let me edit that last part: I WAS your customer. You might hate DoorDash but you need to go tell them, not me. I was a long time, loyal customer. Not anymore and I'm letting all the folks I know how you are now. I'ma help you out tho and let DoorDash know all the crap you said about them ok? Got this late night. Customer service was meh... but I dont blame them it was late and we are in oakland so whatevs.. you run into a lot of grumpy gills it's nothing new The food tho!! Pepperoni pizza - so good and so well baked crunchy yet soft. I was really pleased and the pepperoni was good too. Spaghetti and meatballs really good and savory. This place has the worst customer service of any pizzeria. They messed up my order and then said they would just give me credit so that next time I ordered as I am a longtime customer, the food is usually good and it is convenient delivery so I didn't demand a refund. And I agreed to get free item on my next delivery. However when I called to do that they said no. It wasn't a large amount of money so I was shocked when this became an issue. I love close to them and delivery I try to go to more local bussines. This is the second issue I have had with their customer service. They are competing against conglomerates like Dominos and can't honor a credit? So much for local businesses building community and building a customer base. Very bad experience. Me: Hi, I'd like the small 'Supreme Combo' pizza and an iced tea. Staff: That will be $29." Me: Wait, it says 11.99 on the menu, something is off. Staff: You said a small, that is for a small. Me: Oh, my mistake, I just want the cheapest, the menu says 11.99. Staff: That's for a slice. Me: OK I'll have the slice then. Staff: That will be $19. Me: This must be a mistake, the menu says $11.99 up there. It can't be $19 for a slice and a drink. Staff: Well, I guess the prices went up. Come on! NO ONE would pay $20 for a slice of pizza and a bottle of iced tea (which is what I said as I left). I mean did I have some kind of sign on my head that said "I'm dumb please take advantage"? No idea if the other person in the restaurant was the owner who said "well its really good and its a monster slice." But seriously, avoid this place. For a quick pizza, Cybelle's is pretty quality. It's not wood oven quality. But, it's still a go-to in my book for a cheap pizza craving.

Not amazing, but not bad - fairly consistent bay area style pizza: medium crust, simple tomato sauce, typical mozzarella cheese. It tends to be a bit on the greasy side (I usually end up sopping up some loose oil on the top with some napkins before eating), but definitely better than lots of other pizza I've had. read more

Trying to avoid generic chains, I decided to give Cybelle's a chance. The 14 inch pizza half combination, half pepperoni costed $24.77 and took a little over 20 minutes to make. Although the toppings were generous, they weren't very enjoyable. Pepperoni tasted bland and the amount of olives on the combination slices was insane. The dough wasn't pressed evenly (some parts felt like thin crust, other parts was thick and a little gooey). Staff was friendly and helpful. My family and I have been returning customers for years... They have our orders in their history so there shouldn't ever be a fuck up because we order the same shit. The last 4 times we have ordered its been a guy at the front with colored hair, taking my order. The first 3 times since he has been there he would call me as im parking my car to let me know my order was ready. Why are you calling me back to back? And tonight we ordered regular wings, "like I always do for my daughter " its in the order history... and I tip them even for a pick up!! As I always do! I came home with buffalo wings. She took a bite at home and they were spicy. Duh wrong order. So I call and let him know... He says irritably "its going to be 20 minutes " ok fine but then he calla back and asked me how many I ate! lmao wtf, NONE! Theyre too hot for my daughter. Had take out from here when in town visiting my brother and sister-in-law. The food wasn't bad, not really anything special. My boys liked it but what 5 & 12 year old boy doesn't like pizza pepperoni pizza. My brother ordered an extra large Hawaiian & small pepperoni pizza, with a salad and the total was about $56. The only real issue I had was with the miscommunication between whoever took my brothers order and him. When he called he told them he'd be paying with his debit/credit card since he didn't have cash on him (like a majority of people these days). He was told that would be ok, it wasn't put down and the delivery driver wasn't told. So when he arrived he was expecting a cash payment, to which my brother told him he was paying with his card. With some back and forth or they don't do that with deliveries, the driver had to call into the shop to have my brother be able to pay by credit card. So that was pretty annoying. OVERALL: With the confusion behind how the food was to be paid for, and that pizza that was just "Meh". I would go here again....now if the food had been amazing, then I could easily look past that mistake as mistakes happen! read more

I believe the problem I experienced is the fault of Doordash and their poorly designed software, but that is just a guess. Unfortunately, my only recourse is to criticize the restaurant for their decision to use Doordash. Bottom line: I will never order a pizza online if I cannot select the size. Who thought that was a good idea?! Seriously. I am software engineer and this could easily be remedied by requiring a size/price parameter when ordering. The girl said "next time write a note to say that you don't want red sauce because all pizzas come with red sauce" even though I did the "build your own" option and they clearly have several options for sauces.
