I contacted a few people and Twin Cities Pets were the only ones that responded! I am so glad they did and here is why. First, cost for service. They stopped over prior to leaving to meet my pets and find out everything that I wanted to have done. They might do more in 15 minutes than I do in 3 hours with regards to my pets! The service is a great value. Great Service. They obviously love animals. It's nice to know that my guys are going to be with people who really care about their wellbeing. They offered to send me texts with updates, etc. When I came home, the cats looked well cared for and I think they left the litter boxes cleaner than when I left them! :) Just good people. These are the kind of people who have an instance trustworthiness about them. They are professional and friendly. Hands down - if you are looking for a pet sitter for whatever reason, you will likely be joining us on Yelp! singing praises about the quality of services you will receive. Our senior cat has diabetes and needs to be fed and receive insulin injections on a pretty strict schedule (every 12 hours), and finding friends who were both available for the whole weekend and comfortable giving shots proved to be difficult. We found Twin Cities Pets through an online search and were ecstatic to see that they had prior experience with insulin injections and came to your home. A lot of other pet sitting or boarding services said that they will administer medication, but not injections, so this was lucky and we were so glad we didn't have to board him somewhere, which basically sound like cat jail. Marea came over and met with my boyfriend to pick up our spare key and learn about our cat's routine. We also have a bunny and a few tortoises, and she said she was happy to check on them as well. Marea sent us email updates letting us know everyone was doing A-OK, and we were able to enjoy our vacation with peace of mind knowing that our pets were in great hands. The cost was comparable or maybe even cheaper than boarding, and I know that our cat was much happier staying in his own home and familiar environment. We will definitely be using Twin Cities Pets the next time we go out of town and I would highly recommend them to any other friends in the area. I decided to hire a pet sitter, and I did some research before finding Monica and Purrfect Pet Sitting. I've never hired a pet sitter before, and it was a stretch for me to hand a stranger my keys and trust them with my fur babies, but I had no choice. After having Monica take care of them for just a few days, I knew I had made a good decision. Monica has cared for Wendigo and Banzuke as though she were family. She sent me texts every day with pictures to update me on their status. I was overjoyed when she told me that Wendigo actually "took" to her... Wendigo never even let my own family come near her, but Monica is a cat whisperer, because even in this stressful situation she let Monica pet her and she didn't hide from her. Monica also changed their litter when it needed it, and she followed my meticulous instructions for the diet and feeding for each of the cats. What amazed me most about her is that she has been so flexible and accommodating. I had to extend my trip and Monica has worked with me through all the changes. She even brought extra cooked chicken for Wendigo when mine ran out. As a new resident and a first time street-parker, I didn't realize you had to move your car so much in Saint Paul. Monica alerted me to signs that had been posted by parking enforcement, and bent over backwards to help me make sure my car was ok. When I returned home, I found that Monica didn't just take excellent care of my babies, she took care of my home. She washed dishes she used. She kept things in order. There wasn't any trash to be found. My kitties were happy and healthy! I feel so blessed and lucky to have found someone so professional and caring for my little cat family. It has been such a relief to have one - rather two! - less things to worry about. I feel so grateful to have had Monica there ensuring all is well at home. BE SURE TO AVOID DR. SHIRLEY! Informed concent is vital for…read moregood medical care. We have had great experiences with all three of our cats with multiple of the vets and techs. All have been great except for one Doctor named Dr. SHIRLEY. Sometimes one expirence destroys the rest. Our cat had a mass. We were clear to minimize stress and procedures on our high anxiety cat. The vet used a fine-needle biopsy without telling us there was a more definitive core biopsy was an option until AFTER!!! The results were inconclusive, forcing our sick cat to endure more stress and waste our resource money. They ignored our primary concern, and SHIRLEYS CHOICE created more trauma. She could have given us all the information but instead she gave us the option she thought was best and took our money depleting resources that we didn't have to begin with at the time due to our other cats cancer treatments. If SHIRLEY actually listened we would have done the other type of biopsy but she didnt give us options. We've lost all trust at least with that particular Dr. If you have a complex case, you cannot trust SHIRLEY. I AM SO MAD YOU BROKE OUR TRUST AND STRESSED OUT MY BABY STOLE OUR MONEY TAKING FROM HIS NEEDED CARE. I can earn more money but I can't undo the damage or unnecessary stress SHIRLEY caused our family while were already going through grief. SHIRLEYS lack of care and communication made a horrific time for our family even harder when it didnt need to be that way. SO FRUSTRATING!!! 6/4/21 I have been a…read morecustomer at St. Micheal vet for well over 6 years. Never really an issue with them, so I continue to see them and pay thousands for their service. Today I stopped by to pick up meds. I am told no one can come inside. Yet, staff is outside with their faces right next to customers open windows with no mask. Inside staff is either not wearing mask or wearing it covering half their face. (I don't much care if you wear a mask or not.) I asked why they are not letting people in and she says, we are behind on whats going on. So, I ask to speak to a vet to learn why no one can come in at this point. She informs me there is no vet on staff. I asked to speak to a manager to express that many people would like to come in with their pets and other vets are relaxing their covid rules. The lady again says there in no manager on staff. At this point they leave me to believe there is no licensed veterinary on staff and they're not allowing owners in because of this fact. Techs are doing the vets job and charging full fee to see a vet vs a tech.

They are knowledgeable, obviously love what they do, and their prices are very reasonable. Unfortunately, we had to put our beloved Kaitlyn down 3 weeks ago, but I was overwhelmed by the entire staff's immense love and empathy for Kaitlyn and me. They explained every step in detail. She was crying with me the whole time and petting Kaitlyn so lovingly. She hugged me genuinely twice before I left and said the sweetest words. Dr. Nelson and the staff there checked in on Kaitlyn several times over the few days before we put her down since we all thought she would improve. They fit us into their schedule with a few hours' notice on both Friday and Tuesday, acting like it wasn't a big deal to do so. She has such a tough job--all vets and vet techs do--but I'm so grateful that she was Kaitlyn's vet for the last 4 years. We had switched vets because Kaitlyn was misdiagnosed with Diabetes Insipidus instead of Cushing's Disease and because Dr. Nelson was one of the few vets who were willing to allow us to fill her prescription through a compounding pharmacy vs. a typical pharmacy that would charge 5 times the amount. Through her annual exams, sonic teeth cleanings and extractions, and annual stim tests for her Cushing's Diseaase, they cared for Kaitlyn so well and we paid much less than we did at other vets. I will never be able to express my gratitude for everything they've done for us and how they made such a heartbreaking time very peaceful. I thought I wouldn't be back for many years...but our friends couldn't keep their kitten anymore; we just had our first visit for "Pumpkin" there today. They were very loving to him, too. I highly recommend Monticello Pet hospital and Dr. Nelson if you need a vet for your pets.

Quality issues Our male cat had an issue with going to the…read morebathroom. Upon the first visit it was not properly diagnosed. They did lab work and results and never reported to us. After a family veterinarian referred us to https://veterinarypartner.vin.com It was amazingly clear it was urinary related and serious. (How did they not catch this before when our car literally exhibited all symptoms?) They scheduled an appointment the next day then wouldn't see our pet after they mixed up the appointment time. All these factors together combine to disarray at the front desk, and questionable quality of care. Perhaps for wellness visits they are fine, but if you have real issues with your animal you may want to look elsewhere. We did and we won't return.
