There is a reason professional players migrate to Arlington, Texas in the off-season to train here. There are adequate cages that can be used by individuals or rented by teams. In addition, they have added 2 training areas and a weight room where they offer classes, workshops, private lessons, and more. The pros not only work with kids, but they work out with the kids. I took my six-year-old who's playing his first season of Coach pitch. I wanted to get him fired up about the season. He's never been to the batting cages and he's never had a ball pitched to him. He's always been on the fence about baseball. It's a rather slow game for the little ones and it's hard for them to stay excited about it. His first season of tee ball he decided to pick flowers in the outfield for his teammates. I want him to have fun playing the game like I did as a kid. I'm not all into it because he's six. I don't know all the terminology or the best equipment and all that good stuff. D-bat has some really high-end, good quality equipment. My son needs a helmet and I didn't really have a lot of luck at Academy when I tried to get him one there. I was hoping I would be able to get some help at the baseball pro shop at D-bat. I don't really think they're interested in helping people with the purchase of high dollar equipment at D-bat. I didn't see the helmets that were hanging well out of reach, which makes sense. So I asked if they had helmets and the young lady behind the counter looked at me as though I was 10 kinds of stupid. Granted it wasn't the warmest welcome when I called them earlier in the day or when I first walked in the door. Maybe I'm being unrealistic but when someone ask about baseball helmets in a store where they sell baseball helmets it wouldn't hurt to offer a little customer service and act as though you might be some kind of interested in helping people get what they need to play the game as best as they can and enjoy it. I know Yelp probably isn't the best place to look at reviews for batting cages but... All the other D-bat locations have better reviews than this Arlington location. Maybe next time I wanna take my son to the batting cages I'll drive past the Arlington and continue down to Mansfield. Even with the crazy high gas prices. I really don't like being this negative, but this location comes across is some kind of click or something. I guess I'm not in the know and they don't need my business.

I found this place on yelp and went to go check it out! They have lots of room with many options! You can hit baseballs or softball balls or you can get in some field work and put your glove on to shag some balls. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I will prob be back tomorrow for a little more practice before my double header tomorrow night.. the prices are very affordable. It only cost me 12$ to hit 60 pitches and do some field work!! Thinking about getting a membership!

We did a membership and have access to machines and discounted lessons and camps. Just like anything, Invest time with them and they will invest time into you and your kiddos. We've been going there for 4 years now. Brad and Marcis work with my sons and are encouraging and technical. Former Major League pitching instruction?? Yes, my kids have no idea. Crazy. The ownership cares for us and our well being and listens well to our feedback. Camps are great too. Lots of reps and kids have so much fun. In 2014, he played for TCU in the College World Series and then for the Kansas City Royals in the MLB World Series. He pitched in the College World Series for TCU and was then drafted by the Royals, appearing in two games of the 2014 World Series. The cool thing is, when he retired from baseball, he moved back to the Keller area! It is a smaller DBat, but again, they have a solid staff.
