I'm giving two stars because the ambiance is really cool and we had fun playing. The lines were LONG! I bought the unlimited play so we could play all 4 courses. The first one we went to and there was absolutely no instruction. Not from the original check in desk nor the desk at The Library. We kinda figured it out/learned from others. Staff was not interested in your experience except for a girl named Taylor who was working The Lodge course. We scanned the QR code for drinks but my husband went to the bar. Beer listed at $5. When we looked at the receipt we were charged $6.50 each. Next time we went to the bar by the back balcony on the second floor. Ordered drinks but after watching the bat empty...still no drinks. Watching g to make sure that gets credited back. We finally made it through all 4 courses in 4.5 hours. Ordered 2 beers on the last course we played...The rooftop. First beer she brought me was wrong. Brought me the correct one. I ordered a patron shot neat ... as an FYI they charge you and extra $2 for neat. REALLY? AND YOU DO T TWLL PEOPLE THAT? This establishment is extremely underwhelming. For three people I paid $70. For that $70 they allow you to play 9 extremely short holes. In total, the 9 holes took us 20min to finish. Simply put this place is extremely over priced. Do not be fooled by the photographs, the holes are as basic and simple and any other putt putt place. The only difference here you ask? They will charge you twice as much. In addition the drinks and food are overpriced. Just save your money and go somewhere else. The experience doesn't much the price tag. read more

Came here and was shocked to find out it was $19 for 9 holes and no drink is cheaper than $8 (beer). You will be done in 20 min with the golf portion. What I'm frustrated the most with is there is technology that is not even being used in the golfball and putter. You have to manually enter your score. We didn't have a server come over once while golfing. The timing seems off and the workers are not paying attention to start people or set any expectations. read more

We were visiting from out of town & were looking for something fun to do. This was our first time at the Puttery and we had a blast from start to finish. Super cool vibes & great atmosphere. The best part of the experience was definitely the staff. We had to wait about 10 minutes to start our course, we sat at a table our waitress Maurissa came out quickly & had some great drink suggestions. The course was super cool and our waitress Carla was super sweet. After we finished the course we sat in the swinging chairs, and another waitress Jasmine came over. we went as a small group- walked in- and headed for food. the food was SO good!!! and good price! we went through the Library (hands down the best one!!) and the lodge (fun and great photos opps) the illusion was NOT fun! it was too crowded and the 5th-8th holes were way to cramped... the holes were ok, but after the other two we all felt let down. This is a really cool place! I came here with a couple of buddies and we had a great time. The environment was probably the coolest part and it's definitely worth checking out almost for that reason alone. The food was decent and they are putting in a good effort into their bar program with different drinks for different courses which I thought was a nice touch. As for the actual mini golf, we had fun, but the situation could really be improved. The holes themselves were great and it was nice to order drinks and have a server through the process so those things are big pluses. The course is only 9 holes though no matter which one you chose and at 18$ a person for that maybe 30 minutes of playtime, I am just not sure the value was there to go back regularly even if it was fun for a one time experience. I have a suggestion for the business owner: Offer discounted rates/bundle pricing for multiple courses. If I could have played another round for $10, I might have paid that, and you could make up for it on the drinks. I would have been very tempted to play them all for 50. I'll probably be back, but I don't know that I'll be in a hurry. read more

Do not make reservations! There is literally no point. As a party of 11 we did the responsible thing to reserve a spot a week ahead of time at 8:30. When we arrived we were told that we won't be able to go on any course until 9:45. Because the reservation is only a guarantee that we will be able to play within a 90 MINUTE WINDOW! We were told that there was a delay because there were walk-ins. There is no type of priority for reservations. What's worse is that you are required to pay up front in order to make a reservation. So they take your money just so you can wait the same time as a walk in. With no option to cancel and get a refund. read more

What did I do? The 9 hole library course. Is the place beautiful? yes Is the hole design novel? no How many holes are you paying for? 9 How long does 9 holes take? 20 minutes. How does it compare to other putt putt experiences? It's less fun and way more expensive, but it is air conditioned and there are no kids. Also it's very short and the process discourages you from playing multiple rounds. Is it fun? Putt putt felt out of place in these environments. i prefer to let my silliness out when mini golfing. I like putt putt because of the whimsy. This place is not whimsy. If you're into real golf, you may like it, but I didn't. Will I go back and do the other courses? My husband and I had a fun experience (first time visit) on a relatively quiet Monday night UNTIL the epic fail towards the end, when we experienced one of the worst food mishandling experiences ever, especially at a facility where higher fees are charged and quality service is expected. The course host was nice and the drink server was friendly - however we would like to point out that due to how slow it was, we would have expected all the course drink stands (where you set your drinks on while playing) to be cleaner and also some disinfecting to be performed on putters, balls, etc. The food came out very very slow but tasted great. However we were too full to touch our burger/sliders. A suited supervisory looking young gentleman stopped by and we asked him form a to go box. He then proceeded to transfer my sliders into the box with his BARE HANDS. No utensils, gloves, napkin - nothing. I was in so much shock, and writing this review the next day, still in disbelief of what I witnessed. We paid in full and tipped well (our sever was nice) but I can't help but wonder - this facility may offer a great mini golf experience but is there any training on cleanliness and food handling guidelines? We cannot recommend this to anyone and sadly will never return. read more

The Puttery was a good experience for me, but I am so used to Puttshack back home in Atlanta, so it has to receive three stars for me. It's a high-end mini-golf (putt putt) recreational venue located in The Colony. It has a bar and you can also order food, and order drinks at the bar too. You have to be 21+ to enter after a certain time (They checked for my ID at 7pm just to enter) and there are multiple courses you can choose from. After a long day at work, I decided to have a few shots of jack to loosen up at the bar. The bar snacks were also pretty good. Nothing spectacular. We decided to do the courses -- the one thing I noticed is that you have to keep track of your own score at The Puttery vs. Puttshack where the system is smart enough to record your score for you. It just felt like it was missing that 2% and it would have been nicer to have an AI keep track of your score for you. The course itself is also much nicer at Puttshack, and the theming was also a little lackluster in some type of way, but overall - it wasn't a bad experience. I had a lot of fun, and if this is the best that DFW has, I will be returning. It's a great place to hang out and grab drinks with friends. read more

I made the mistake of going to monster mini golf one night not realizing it was a kids spot, so I did some research and found puttery which is for adults 21+. You have to make reservations online and the price is 18 pp. So your spending around 40 dollars for 2 people to play. They're open pretty late, the last slot to book is 12:30am which is nice. They have 4 different rooms, we chose the obstacle illusion course. There were only 9 holes so it was pretty quick. They have servers who take drink orders while you play. And there is a full bar with food as well. Overall it was a decent experience, it was good for a one time try though I doubt I'll go back again. read more

My wife and I made a reservation for Saturday afternoon for unlimited golfing. We got there and checked in and were told all 4 holes were open. Great... The lines were long we waited about 20-25 minutes to START each round. When we got done with the second one, we found out that one of the 2 courses left was RESERVED and the lines were unbelievably long. This should not have happened. I can see reserving a table or tables for a group but a whole course. What a load... I can even see a group that has a reservation getting to go to the head of line. But this is not a good practice it is very off putting. read more

The place is nice and if your gonna be located in Grandscape... might as well. Staff was nice and sure the food and drinks was good. The price is way tooo high. It would be one thing if the $20 per person for 12 to 15 mini-courses or you get to do 2 rooms; but the $20 person is only for one course and you will finish it in less than 30 minutes. All $arca$m aside, I really don't mind spending money for a unique experience and a good time. However, I'd like there to be value associated with what I spend, and there was a serious mismatch in price:value here. If you've got money to burn and don't care about any of that, then it's a cool and unique place. Adults own-LYYYY!!! Super cool place! I wish it was 18 and up instead of 21, so our daughter could go though! Hubby took me here to get out of the house for a couple hours. Being super sensitive to noise and lights, it was a bit overwhelming. It was like a bar with putt putt. But I was able to manage for about two hours. It's adults only - HUGE plus! They had five different courses and they had unique iPad displays with your name and score for each round. We did the library course. I thought it would be, you know, quiet. But peeps was yelling in there and whatnot. Food was ok. Staff was super accommodating. The dessert was awesome, tho. Maybe eat at one of the gazzillion other places in area instead. The place looks cool, but all in all, not worth the money in my opinion. You'd be better off getting cocktails somewhere else before and ubering to a different putt putt location. The environment is cool, but holy heck this place is expensive. You pay $18 per person for 9 holes of putt putt that lasts MAYBE 15 minutes. Think about that - $2 per hole of putt putt. I also felt pressured to go even quicker and couldn't enjoy my date because people are right behind us waiting to go on the course. The draw of this facility are the photo opportunities of unique courses but not worth $18. Cocktails are super expensive, as well. I bought a cocktail for $11 and it was maybe 4 oz total, served in a smaller version of a buzz ball. My friends cocktail was equally as small and expensive and served in a little honey bear plastic container. The server saw us one time. 2 stars total: 1 for environment and 1 for location. read more

Puttery in Grandscape is so much fun! They now have unlimited golf! Food was great as usual , I love the fried chicken sandwich and the ahi tuna stack. I recently tried the new dessert , s'mores skillet . WOW !! The drinks are always delicious, I really like the mean machine . And they make a really good old fashioned for me ! I will be back for sure , my server was super nice and helpful .. it can be a confusing place on your 1st trip, but the staff is always great at answering any questions I have . The hype is way more than the actual experience. Reservations are not realistic. There were 3 courses to choose from. If we wanted the most popular one we had to wait another 45 minutes after our reservation time. It is a 2 story building. None one was allowed on the first floor. We had to ask a waitress how it all worked. The hostess was not very helpful. It is better if you get there before your reservation and hang out. Once you get to play, you have special drinks just for your course. The course is 9 short holes. By the time we got our drink we were on hole 6. Very crowded due to such a small area. We chose the Lodge course due to timing. It is out in the open with the tables. The other 2 were in private rooms. It was just a letdown from the beginning.
