Stopped in randomly for some drinks and snacks and I think we've officially found our new drinking spot! It was early evening so it was really chill, but the vibe is really nice and loungey. The bartender was spectacular! Amazing personality and great recommendations ! He said if we tried the espresso martini we'd never want to have it anywhere else bc they make it with real espresso ! Oh mylanta it was the BEST espresso martini ever ! Not to mention it had me until 2a cleaning my house (I don't drink coffee regularly )! Don't miss this colorful, cute cocktail bar located behind Mi Dia's and Princi Italia. The seating arrangements make this a perfect spot for solo or large groups. Fizz is such a cute bar! It's nestled in a strip mall near Cinemark West Plano Movie Theater. I've been here twice for drinks, most recently last night. We received complimentary housemate potatoes chips, which were great and a nice touch. Last night I had the Banana Rum Old Fashioned which was ok. My friend and I both thought that they had more rum than bourbon which kind of threw off the flavor balance. We then both got Manhattan cocktails, which were really good and strong drinks, but lacked sweet vermouth. Still, we weren't complaining because they were very good, especially after we asked for a dash of the banana liquor to be added. PERFECTION! Fizz is really bright and fun and the ambiance is really nice. There's always a lot of seating. I'll have to try the food options one day. My only small gripe about Fizz is the music. I wish that the music had more of a mix of house, r&b, hip hop, and pop, rather than all house/techno, but I accept that that's the vibe the owners like. This is a great low-key, cute spot for a drink where the vibe and ambiance are fun and cute, and the prices aren't bad. I'll be back! read more

This place has SO much potential! We went on a Thursday night The drinks were DELICIOUS! They absolutely focus on making sure the taste profile is perfect when making their drinks. I was really impressed. I ordered their strawberry slammer twice and both times it tasted equally great. The ambiance is a vibe. You can tell they spent time making sure the inside was cute, a good spot for photos, and that seating is cozy for large groups. Their menus need to be called out because with as much as they spent on everything else, jt feels they were a bit frugal in developing their menus. Thursday night- ladies night! There is some mention of a DJ (not present) and the music was all over the place. I'd recommend committing to a theme and sticking to it. Overall, really cute spot with a lot of potential. The menus could use a little refresh and maybe they need some stronger marketing (partnering with the apartments right there, etc. to increase attendance. I arrived at Fizz on a Sunday afternoon after leaving brunch. The first thing I noticed was the bright decor inside and outside. I love it! The second thing I noticed was the steep pricing on the drinks and bottles of wine. This economy is no joke. lol I didn't get a good feel for the vibe, as we were the only patrons in the establishment. After sipping on a glass of wine on the covered patio, two other parties arrived. This place is super cute and the staff is friendly. Based on the other reviews, I will have to return on a Saturday night to check out the vibe when they actually have a crowd. I might return next Saturday and order a couple bottles of wine (which is cheaper than purchasing by the glass), so that I can update this review. It's definitely worth checking out. read more

Let me start off by saying I was very excited to try this place, especially since I never get to enjoy happy hour (because...kids). I met up with a friend on a Friday evening, right at 5p. Only a handful of people which was to be expected. The decor was decent and plenty of lounge seating, but it felt kind of "low budget" and cheesy vs classy and sexy. So, I think the furniture choice alone really missed the mark. I'm not sure if there is normally a DJ during happy hour, but there was not one present at all during our time there (5-7p). It was a Friday night, so I figured the music would be lit, but nah... My friend and I split the spinach dip - which was delish and also ordered the flatbread with prosciutto and arugula. When the flatbread arrived, the waiter informed us that they were out of arugula and asked if we wanted to get something else. Well at that point, we were ready to eat, so we just declined. It was good, but arugula is a whole vibe, so of course...the vibes were off. It would have been nice to know about that before the flatbread was made, and we likely would have selected something else. Onto the drinks. We both ordered the pineapple watermelon margarita. We asked if we could have a sugar/tajin rim and they said yes, but it arrived with tajin and salt. Not a big deal, but that sugar+tajin combo is fire. Anywho, the drink was lovely even with the tajin/salt rim. I ordered one more drink - I think it was a pineapple pomegranate martini. Meh...it was strong but the flavors were mid. Nothing fancy about it, I was just happy it was half-off. All in all...the place was fine. I don't think it deserves 3 stars, but maybe not 4 either...too bad Yelp doesn't have 1/2 star ratings. So, I rounded up for the sake of being a decent human. Would I go back? Maybe on a Thursday when it's ladies night...but I don't know that I'll recommend it to anyone. read more

Another win in finding a new restaurant on yelp. on a business trip to Dallas, my boss and I wanted to celebrate with drinks at a local bar. I found this place that she has never been too. We were pleasantly surprised with this place. The bartender was such a cheerful, wonderful person with such a fun personality. I was so intrigued with the bar lighting up with different colors. The ambience in this restaurant was absolutely incredible. It was so much fun with the colors and detail that would make you want to come back and take more photos. We shared a meat and cheeseboard with a side of fried pickles. The fun drink recipes definitely had us thinking on which one to pick. We both picked a different drink and shared it between us so we got a little bit of both. Overall, this was such a fun experience and I will definitely keep this in mind next time I'm in Dallas. read more

Talk about Miami vibes! I was extremely pleased with the food and incredible service at Fizz. Me and a friend went there not long ago on a Saturday night and tried beverages and all the snacks. Get the mac and cheese balls app to share. They are yummy with shaved parm on top! Goat cheese and pepper jelly with crackers for the cheese overload. I'll be getting a full dinner next time! So..... Not sure what transition this bar is going through, but there is an obvious struggle occurring. On a Friday evening this bar had (3) tables occupied at 8pm. The location is conveniently surrounded by lovely apartments with tons of great businesses and clientele in the area. I was eager to try this "new to me" spot , but the lack of activity when we arrived, should have been the first sign. Maybe once upon a time it provided a "vibe". The wait staff was polite and attentive, but that was about the only positive. The drinks were terrible.... And under whelming at best for a "Bar". Their website boasts tons of pics of food, but apparently that has changed more recently. Their food menu is now loosely limited to appetizers and flat bread. What a fun and funky place! I'm an 80s baby so I love the retro vibes and lights. Fizz actually offers coffee service then switches things up and turns into a lounge in the evenings. I've only been for drinks and light bites, but each visit has been awesome! The service is excellent and everyone treats you like one of the cool kids. They have a great variety of cocktails, champagne, and other spirits. Come on Wednesdays for half off drinks and 80s music (plus throwback music videos!) The hottest coffee shop in town. I think they stop serving at 4pm for coffee, just around the time for happy hour. I found this place when looking for a nice lounge to celebrate my friend's birthday. I wanted to find a place with a laid-back vibe, nice cocktails and menu as well as good music and this place absolutely fit the bill. I came as soon as they opened to enjoy happy hour and while there were plenty of people at the bar, the seating area was pretty empty so the host allowed me to pick my seat. As eccentric as some of the chairs looked they ended up being SUPER comfortable. The also have an outside patio with tons of seating and it's own bar. I would have loved to sit out there, but it was one of our 100 degree summer days so that is going to have to wait for next time. I got there before my friend and told our server, Dominic, what we were celebrating. He asked her name and as soon as my friend arrived our server gave her a personal "Happy Birthday" greeting. Our first round of drinks was It Is What It Is and Paper Plane. We enjoyed them both, but my friend was looking for something particular and after asking our server a few questions about their liquor options, the bartender, Jesse, came out and sat at our table to figure out what we were looking for. After describing different things, the bartender went back and made something special for us. It was AMAZING and we named it the Badass. It's not on the menu yet, but if you ask for it he will hook you up. It's rum based and a nice balance of sweet and strong with a fruity flavor. We ordered more than one - obviously...lol. We also got the charcuterie board which was perfect and they even allowed us to pack up the leftovers to take home which was extremely surprising. This restaurant has a creative design with colorful furniture. Great for brunch or date night. Dogs are allowed only in the patio but I was offered a water bowl for the dog which was nice.
