Was looking for something to do on a chilly night and came across Puttshake. It's definitely like no other mini golf course. You check in on an iPad and there are several game options. There are multiple courses to choose from, and you can take a mini break in between each. A game board keeps track of all the scoring so there is no tedious paper and pencil. All of the holes are so thought out and unique! The bar was great, and there are a little tables throughout. The only downside was checking in on an iPad and missing the opportunity to ask questions or get clarification. It was a little tricky how things worked and we had to ask several people while trying to get started.

Stopped here on a Friday afternoon on the way back to our hotel. With staying in the strip district right down the street from the Terminal, we had been to the Puttery across the street and not particularly liked the experience. The Puttshack was a little different: first there's room to stretch out. There is massive areas to sit and wait, to sit down and eat, a huge bar with tv's, and a variety of spaces-- not to mention 4 courses. Puttery is very tight and small. Just feels like you're a sardine there. Puttshack is more of a full experience. Would recommend.

My wife and I went on a Saturday afternoon date to Puttshack. She got me a gift card for Christmas and it seemed like a great day to use it. Everything is digital from registering to score keeping. We were able to play nine holes on the Emerald Course (I'd do 18 next time because the holes are short). It was busy with groups and couples but not overwhelmingly crowded. There is a full bar and you are able to take drinks on the course. The holes had a fun theme to them and kept you engaged. After our nine holes we sat at the bar and had a pretzel and a Octoberfest pint. Bartenders were friendly. Puttshack has different golf specials throughout the week. It was a fun way to spend some time on a Saturday afternoon. I would definitely go again.

Get it in the green for a good chance at a hole in one.

Darnell (aka Nelly) was a great host for our visit to Puttshack. He made the whole experience a pleasurable one, helping our family feel comfortable for our first time playing putt putt. Darnell was personable and kept the kids laughing. He explained the rules and we were on our way. In the end, my 15yo son said he thought it would be a terrible experience but as it turned out, he enjoyed it. The holes are challenging, but not impossible. Getting a hole in one is possible in several of the holes. One thing we really enjoyed was that the scoring is automated, so it makes for a fun and social environment. We recommend this for families and friends alike!

Puttshack is one of the most premium mini golf courses I've ever been to. I'm visiting Pittsburgh and I've heard of Puttshack before, but this just happened to be our first stop in the Strip District. It wasn't lively in the dining area when we visited (2 PM) but the mini golf courses had a good amount of people playing. Our waitress, Crystal, was the best server we could've asked for. She kept our soft drinks refilled without us having to ask, and made sure we enjoyed our food. She raved about the things we ordered and it makes sense because everything we had was flavorful. To start, we ordered Shiitake Mushroom Potstickers. The ponzu soy and peach dipping sauces were fire! It was the perfect sweet/salty combo for dipping. For my meal, I ordered the Korean BBQ Bao Buns and substituted the meat for bbq jackfruit. The bao buns were pillowy, chewy and delicious. Not spicy whatsoever if you're someone who avoids spice like me. Finally, per Crystal, the dessert was a must, specifically the Key Lime Pie. Not tarty and just enough sweetness to kill the craving. The crust was excellent. Highly recommend! Everyone working at the Puttshack was polite and friendly and willing to help. Puttshack seems like it would accommodate large groups of people, too. A wonderful place for people of any age to have fun!

We were in town visiting family and checked Yelp/Groupon for fun things to do indoors near our Airbnb. We found Puttshack with a great deal and couldn't resist. We registered ahead online, so that when we arrived we could go straight in and check in. We chose one 9-hole game because there was 6 of us and we didn't want to be there all night (even though I'm sure the kids wouldn't have been bothered lol). Each hole had a challenge that was actually really fun to master. The bonus part about this place is that you don't have to keep score!! The ball has some type of tech/chip that registers when you start at each evolve and keeps track of each attempt to get the ball in the whole. I loved that part the most because with all of us, we had more time to enjoy ourselves instead of keeping track of tiny pencils and paper. We will definitely be going back the next time we're in town because we've seemed to make the area it's in one of our go to spots. *bonus is they have free coat check so you don't have to worry about keeping up with your stuff while you're moving through the course.

The service is as great and friendly. I was there for a private party, so it wasn't too loud in the back room. The main room was very loud, but the atmosphere is great. The food and drinks were delicious and they even continued to serve drinks while we were mini golfing. The themed hikes are so much fun and there are tables around you can keep moving drinks to at each hole. Service at the bar after our party was also good. I definitely hope to go back with friends sometime.

PuttShack is a chain business that offers mini golf, foods, and drinks. Please see my attached photos for the Pittsburgh location's menus for May 2025. A couple of weeks in advance, through PuttShack's website, I purchased tickets for 4 people to each play 2 games of mini golf. The total price including tax was $118. On the website, I did not see an option for choosing the specific mini-golf courses. Days later, PuttShack emailed me to register everyone in my group. We had to register everyone's first names, last names, email addresses, phone numbers, and dates of birth, which I thought was a lot of personal information. On the day of our reservation, a Saturday afternoon, we arrived on time, and the employees assigned us to two courses that two people in our group had previously played. We would have preferred to have played the other two courses that nobody had previously played. Furthermore, an employee gave us coupons for a free game, but I had already purchased two games for each person, so we did not use the coupons. The holes consisted of creative games, and everyone in my group seemed to have fun. The courses were crowded with groups of other customers, so we had much waiting time in between holes. Friendly employees asked if we wanted to order alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. I drank one Passionfruit Lemonade mocktail and liked it.

I've come here a couple times for mini golf! It's fun. Lots of photo-worthy moments and it feels very modernized. For example at one of the holes, it's trivia meets mini golf, it asks a trivia question on the screen, you shoot the ball in the answer for extra points. It's pretty quick, we've been done a whole round in like 20 minutes as 2 people. They have drinks and food too, with plenty of options to choose from and lots of seating. Plus a bar area. We got the Thai fried chicken as our appetizer. They were pretty good! And plenty on the dish for sharing. I got the Asian beef lettuce wraps as my main. It was different than I expected, marinated pulled beef instead of ground beef like a typical Asian lettuce wrap dish. It was okay but not what I expected. I'd skip it next time and get something else. My boyfriend got the bacon burger and liked it, and got a side of truffle fries. The fries were delicious though a little greasy towards the end.

We went on a Sunday evening and took advantage of the all-you-can-play offer which is DEFINITELY the way to go and well worth the price of admission! We did all four courses, and only ever really had to wait for the people in front of us on one of them. The technology behind these courses is amazing with the high-tech ball tracking and score keeping system, and the holes were unique and challenging along the way! Had I realized it would be this fun, I would have booked earlier and spent even more time playing courses again, because I can't overstate how much fun we had over the two hours we spent at Puttshack!

I had a great experience here! While I didn't eat or drink anything--partly because it was a bit pricey and we had just eaten--I came for the indoor putt-putt golf, and it did not disappoint. It was so much fun, and the fact that it's indoors made it even better. Of course, winning the game made it that much sweeter! The venue offers four different indoor courses, though you don't get to choose which one you play--they assign it for you. The service was fine, and the ambiance was absolutely stunning, adding to the overall experience. I'd definitely come back just to play again!

I've been to putt shack of three other occasions and it's always great! This time I actually was there for food and a game (versus an event). Our waitress Amanda was personable, promptly checked on us when seated and routinely followed up. She was gracious without being too attentive. We got drinks and apps- the bbq flatbread and pierogi egg rolls hit the spot! I had a spicy marg and old fashioned which were delicious. The tables were awkwardly long for conversation but it wasn't unbearable. There was a dj playing some throwback tunes that made me want to dance by instead I got my butt kicked in mini golf on the last two holes. It's definitely a good time and one you should experience!'

We had a mutual day off and decided to give Puttshack a try. When we arrived and said we wanted to eat and play, we were directed to a section of iPads to book. I'm tech savvy but had trouble booking to eat first and play after. The hostess said to just book the game and it would be fine. The issue was that I then had to guess how long it was going to take to be served and eat. I chose a time that was 75-ish minutes later. We ordered an app & flatbread to share. The poutine was delicious though definitely saltier than it needed to be. The margarita flatbread was perfect. We didn't order drinks. We finished our food and it was nearly our tee time. And unfortunately we couldn't find our waitress anywhere. My husband stayed at the table while I went over to make sure we were set up. There was a private party and we had been assigned to their golf section so we needed to be moved. My husband did finally find the waitress but we were a few minutes late for our tee time. It wasn't a big deal because it wasn't that busy but I felt anxious being late. The 9 holes were all super fun. Your ball is linked to your name and it's very techy and challenging. Because it was just the two of us, we were done fairly quickly. Next time we want to bring a larger group for sure.

LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.

We sat for a long time actually waiting for a server to come speak with us and get our drink order. So long, despite not being a full place, that I told my wife I wanted to get up and leave. I was very, very frustrated. I had been glancing at their menu on Yelp and saw some tacos that I wanted to try, unfortunately the restaurant cut their menu back to only five tacos to choose from. I'm guessing to simplify things for the Draft crowd that they anticipated coming. Our server finally came to take our drink order and after so long we knew what we wanted. The server wasn't exactly friendly or attentive. We started with street corn as an appetizer, it was awesome. My wife had the chicken tacos and didn't like them. She said they were mushy and had an off flavor that she didn't enjoy. I had the birria tacos. They were not bad, they didn't come with any sauce/juice as all the other birria tacos I've ever had typically come with. I have to say, I was disappointed in the menu being reduced and other than the street corn app., just wasn't impressed. The service was not good, my wife's taco were bad and my were okay. I'll not be rushing back unfortunately.

Fig & Ash Wood Fire Kitchen is a local restaurant and bar that is in the North Side neighborhood…read moreand is open for dinner and private events. It serves wood-fired cuisine that uses locally raised meats, house-made pasta, and seasonal vegetables. Currently, during the winter, examples of menu items are small plates (e.g., roasted beet salad and heirloom carrots), mid courses (e.g., linguine and blue-bay mussels), large plates (e.g., sesame soy-glazed eggplant, pork chop, and picanha), desserts (e.g., pistachio cake and Kahlua fudge brownie), and alcoholic beverages (e.g., cocktails, mocktails, wines, and beers). For my husband and me, I made a reservation for dinner through the Resy website. I chose from options of the dining room, a four-season patio with awnings and heaters, and a chef's counter with a view of the kitchen. Please note that although the foods are upscale, the dress code seems to be smart casual. We parked our vehicle in a lot a short walk away. Upon our arrival to the restaurant, a seating hostess promptly greeted and seated us. Our server provided courteous and attentive service, such as taking our order and bringing our foods on time, refilling our waters, and cleaning my crumbs. We started with a Crab Cake with decent amount of crab meat, mushroom duxelles, tasty truffle aioli, and a side of arugula salad. My main course was Branzino with sides of beans-vegetables and parmesan cornbread. My husband's main course was Duck Breast with a blood-orange demi-glace, asparagus, and potatoes. I thought that everything tasted very good. The total price was $96 plus tax, 3% credit-card surcharge, and tip.
