Came here with my family of 9 on a Friday night. We were seated immediately and ordered a round of drinks. I got the electric lemonade, which was sweet and delicious (I'll admit I didn't really taste much alcohol though). For my food, I ordered the fried fish and shrimp plate with a side of mashed potatoes. The portions ended up being so generous that I split my plate with my sister. I also tasted some of her salmon salad, which came with a very big portion of blackened salmon. I wasn't too impressed with the quality of food, especially the mashed potatoes. I could tell they were powdered mashed potatoes (the kind you add water to), which was disappointing. I wasn't expecting great food since it's a pub, but I think the fun atmosphere of Puzzlers is the reason why it's so popular. I'd love to come back on a busier night! read more

If I could do half stars, I'd bump it up to 3.5. The food isn't anything fancy or particularly special, but what's on the menu is good and the prices are fair. My favorite is the Barn Salad. Greens, grilled chicken, dried fruit, nuts, apples and creamy cheese with balsamic dressing. The atmosphere is ok, kind of dark. The staff is friendly, but a little slow (even when they aren't busy). It's definitely a local bat kind of spot. All in all, not a bad place, but not somewhere to go if you want something fancy or fast. read more

stopped by for dinner with the family. i got a tall beer and wife got 2 glasses of ice they called electric lemonade. panini was good fries were tasty. the check had a fee for using a credit card. now i know everybody is boosting prices and saying its inflation, so now its a fee for doing business that is cashless. well consequently i have now crossed another establishment off my return to visit list. might as well just ask for cover charge now to dine and perhaps parking fees. Going back to Sharkeys they are pretty much stable in costs. read more

Last night we got a Stromboli which was HUGE and absolutely delicious! For an app we got the jalapeño cheese filled pretzel bites which didn't have a hint of jalopeno or spice to them but were still good otherwise. We were quickly greeted but as the night went on we were waiting for a long time with empty drinks and still no order put in for our entree when we were there for 2 hours. Once put in our food came out quickly though. Granted it was busy but our server kept walking by for new tables while leaving us without a order put in and empty drinks for quite some time. read more

Waitress was not attentive. Food took almost an hour to get. The fries were ice cold and the buffalo chicken wrap had at least a cup of sauce on it and it was cold and tasted like tin.Gnat in my grandsons water cup. A good alternative to Sharky's, if that's the atmosphere you're looking for. The booths are comfy enough, there are a million TVs (it's almost distracting how many shows are playing at once), and of course a full menu with a full bar. Late nights on the weekends tend to get loud, but that's true of just about any bar. I doubt anyone would be wow'd by the eats or the drinks here, but you will have room to move around and sit comfortably. read more

We have been going to Puzzlers for many years and have always been satisfied, sometimes the wait is longer than normal but the food was good and the beer was cold, however last night we went there about 6:30 and the y definitely weren't busy, about 20% full, ordered a bacon cheeseburger and a chicken wrap, bot with chippers. This wasn't something that would be too hard to whip up, after finishing our beers 45 minutes later I asked the waitress what is going on, she said they had gotten busy and only had one cook, where is the owner or at least a manager to get things moving? Nowhere to be found so I asked for our food to go after the waitress said it was almost ready, another 15 minute wait and when we got home we found almost raw bacon on both of our meals, totally unacceptable . I guess the most disturbing thing was sitting in a basically empty bar and having the waitress say that they got busy, Might be a while before we try them again read more

Came in sunday just after opening for some lunch. I seen a Cuban sandwich on the menu, I've never had one so I'm no source for comparison, my Cuban was very yummy. Pulled pork was tender, I would have maybe liked more of the olive flavor. Even that being said I would order this again. My companion ordered the southwest rolls. He said they were tasty, they must have been because he didn't share :) Going to keep Puzzler's in mind on another lunch Sunday. Oh and one more thing noteworthy are the choppers. We went on a Monday evening. The place was rather slow. The food was great and the service was good, however the music was very disappointing and ruined the atmosphere. I suppose if they prefer a 20 something clientele it would be fine but we didn't stay longer because we're 40's and didn't enjoy that atmosphere at all. My boyfriend LOVES this place and so does the receptionist at my work. They both rave about the food. I just had to come here to check it out. First off, they have Soft Parade, one of my absolute faves. I chose the Pesto Wrap: Turkey, Provolone, Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado, and Pesto Sauce wrapped in a tortilla. It was good with my side of chips. I've also sampled the chips/salsa, quite tasty as well. My boyfriend is in love with the Fire Mountain Chicken Sandwich..I have yet to sample it but it is huge, juicy, and spicy. I'll have to put that on my to-do list. The lighting is quite bright and they have numerous TV's all around for your viewing pleasure. It does have kind of a family atmosphere, there were kids eating both times I was there. Food was great, service was awesome and surprisingly, the facility was very clean. Granted, we were there just an hour and half after they opened but overall we had a great experience. Our waitress had super cute, fun, purple hair :) and she was great. She wiped our table down after we finished eating, so we could talk and visit at a clean table. Just had a taco salad from puzzlers pub. It was the worst salad I've ever had in my life. The meat was like Taco Bell meat. Gross! Now my stomach is all jacked up. Very cool place. Nice, safe atmosphere that I'd have no problem bringing my kids to for dinner. Has a pool table, dance floor, and several tables and drink specials for those nights when it get's a little busier and you're ready to get turn't up. We were just here for dinner but I would consider coming back for the night life aspect of the place. We got pretzels and beer cheese as an appetizer. These are a favorite of mine no matter where I go but I have to say, this cheese was, by far, the best melted cheese I've ever had with pretzels. You could actually taste the beer. Normally, most places offer beer cheese but it's just nacho cheese. This was soooo much better! For the main meal I had a pulled pork sandwich. It was good. Nothing mind-blowing but still good. Fries were the perfect amount of crispiness. Beer was cold and the waitress did an excellent job of keeping sure that it was always full. May not be in the best area, but don't let that scare you away. Definitely recommend and will return! read more

Having a great time. Walked out the front door to smoke, didn't know there was a smoking area in the back. My friend and I were asked to leave. Explained to the bouncer. We stepped out to smoke. Both had a new drinks sitting at a table. I rode friend who was on the dance floor that didn't know we were out side. Bouncer said so? What kind of establishment allows you to walk out to smoke at 1:20. Don't allow you back in at 1:28. When your ride is inside! We were not the only ones. Had an awful experience at this restaurant tonight. We had picked up our brother in law from the airport so we thought we would stop here for a burger and a beer. Waitress came to our table once then we never saw her again. After about 40 minutes we finally received our food when there was only 4 other tables in the bar and while eating his burger, my husband chomped down on something hard and pulled a piece of plastic out of his mouth. We flagged down another waitress and showed her what we found. She said yes the mayo lid broke. So obviously someone knew what landed in his burger! We then asked to see the manager and this young lady approaches the table and says "What do you guys need?" really!!! What do we need? How about some good customer service!! They did take the burger off the bill, but we never did see our original waitress again. I really think they should have taken care of our entire bill and should have been way more apologetic. If this plastic had been swallowed it could have been a worse situation! read more
