I have done large orders for meetings here & they always have it ready for me & boxed up, but I love stopping in to dine in as well. Tried this place for the first time, after hearing so much about it. I got the BLT, my wife got the Reuben. Mine was so so, bacon overcooked and dry. Hers was actually good. I must have picked the worst sandwich on the menu. All the reviews I read were stellar. I don't even want the other half of this sandwich. With a tip it came to just over $18. For that kinda money I need more corned beef and less sauerkraut, way less sauerkraut. The sandwich was a little corned beef in between too much sauerkraut, and a spicy remoulade that isn't spicy at all. All I could taste was bland remoulade, and sauerkraut. Eating it was arduous. The chips have a house spice mixture that I guess is novel, but I can't eat more than a few. Tasted sweet. The staff seemed friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed the music choice. What a bummer. I love a good sandwich joint. I don't think I am willing to fork out that kinda bread again and risk a repeat. Sauerkraut and remoulade over and under the corned beef. I just don't get it. read more

By far my favorite sandwich shop in town. I'm a Jimmy John's fan and have been for years. There good. I put PVD over them for the variety and uniqueness of the wraps, sandos, and salads they offer here. Big portions, great ingredients, unique house spreads and sauces. We got the Ladder and Bryan's Knuckle and they were so delicious! Definitely the best sandwich we've had in San Angelo. The people there were super friendly and made it a great spot to be. I used to go to PV all the time as a student and get the student discount meal. I thought the sandwiches were amazing. I don't know if I've changed, or if the quality has changed, but when I was in the last few times, I wasn't impressed. The sandwiches I ordered (a grilled ham and cheese, the Royal, a BLT, and a Ladder) were so greasy that it wasn't enjoyable trying to eat the already messy sandwiches. On top of that, you pay $11+ for a sandwich, and they were out of house chips with no substitute. And instead of offering a cup for water, they charged me for a bottle of water. It was quite a turn off for how long we waited, and how disappointing the sandwich was. The customer service and food presentation was great, but the quality wasn't the delicious food that I expected from before, especially at $11+ a pop. read more

We love this place and came in probably weekly, however, we will likely won't be back. I normally order the meltdown sandwich and sub the gyro meat for chicken-it's never been an issue or a problem until today. I ordered by normal sandwich with the substitution but noticed I was charged an additional $3.50 for extra chicken so I asked the guy running the register about it since I'm not getting the meat that originally comes on the sandwich and subbing for chicken, and yep, sorry, you just have to pay the extra even though we are shorting you the original meat, tough luck. That makes my sandwich and chips $19. I know prices are up, but charging for double meat and knowingly giving the customer only the substitution is ridiculous. My husband's sandwich also came out incorrectly-the service has gone downhill over the past few years, but apparently now they just don't care. read more
