Always a great spot to grab some pizza. They offer alfredo sauce, which I appreciate. They're also one of the only spots i've found that has canadian bacon. The service is decent. They're also restaurant was crowded but still didn't run out of tables. The tables were left dirty for a while though. read more

Main cash register was broken so you had to go over to the bar to pay which created a bit of a backlog, although by the time you got done dealing with the paying backup the pizzas were just about ready, so...... winning?? Music is turned up in the joint (80s music - Whitesnake, B-52s, Huey Lewis and the News - so definitely winning fr fr no cap) so it made it a little hard to hear what the staff was saying as they asked questions. Speaking of the staff, recent visits were rather disappointing in the staff department, as others have mentioned it was as if they would rather you weren't there. This visit was a complete 180 on that front. Staff was pleasant and attentive, every employee I saw there who wasn't actively dealing with a customer was working to clean their station, or clean the counter, or sweeping up etc etc etc. Food was good as well, 3 pizzas and a big salad. All in all this visit gets a 5 spot because they have done a good job righting the ship and getting back on track. It was our first time to try Pyro's and I was concerned after reading reviews, however we had a Fantastic experience! The staff was wonderful, answered our questions, and worked fast (there was quite a line on a Friday night)! Our pizzas and salads were Delicious! Food is always great just don't get there late, as they're not making any sweet tea if it's an hour before closing, also you basically have to rack you're brain trying to remember you're favorite toppings as they are all over to the side and not sitting where you can see them. I usually love Pyro's pizza, but the best thing after having a delicious pizza is a delicious dessert and they never ever have the cookie dough which is the prime staple dessert menu option that they offer. I love the salty yet sweet and creamy flavor that the cookie dough offers, but I am always disappointed to find out. They never have it when I want to have it delivered to my house and when I come in store and if I order online, I always have to request a refund because this item is never available, but when I go to other stores and locations, they always manage to make enough or to make sure that it's in stock. we brought in a group of 9 people. though a large group it should not have been an issue from the start. I ordered a small salad and they gave us a large instead because they didn't have a small bowl. when I told the cashier this she looked at me like I was crazy and proceeded to charge me for a large salad. I've dined in at this Pyros a few times, and think it provides a good value in pizza and salad, using the personalized "assembly-line" process that you find at Subway or Qdoba. In normal times, I have little problem with trading off service from inexperienced young staff in order to get a competitively priced meal. During pandemic times, I wasn't as happy. A Yelp "GrubHub" order was accepted, but when I showed up a few hours later, I was told that GrubHub hadn't been working that day. A phone call to GrubHub customer service eventually gave me the credit I needed, but altered my lunch plan, and wasted my time. I also wasn't particularly happy to walk into the place and see one of food prep staff wearing a face mask below the nose. Great concept and good food at Pyro's, a little rough around the edges of service, but not unusual in a busy fast-food place. read more

I have gone here for years but it has honestly gone downhill. The last few times I have tried to get food here it just seems like there are more employees having fun than helping customers. I got a salad and for some reason three customers were put in front of me as my salad was being put together and the people doing it switched up 4 times. Odd. Also I sat at the register for a few minutes while the checkout girl had her back to me and was joking around with coworkers. We were coming here for the first time from being out of town and wanted pizza this night, so my pizza was made wrong twice and the second pizza ordered was made wrong too. Ok. not a great first impression! The people working need to know what goes on a pizzas that are on the menu! They don't let you finish telling them the toppings you want, they tell you Go down to the cash register. So you can't tell what even goes on your pizza. I thought that was the idea of this place? I felt guilty for even asking the employees about it being made wrong. it was the Hawaiian pizza. I I was going to just eat the pizza and call it a loss. but when they came over to our table, I did mention it was missing toppings. they did remake the pizza. it took 20 minutes longer for a new one. Update 8/16/19 Today PYRO'S was PY-NO's. The worst customer service I've experienced in 4 years going to this usually amazing establishment. Started by placing my order at 6:04. I asked for a regular entree pizza and a cauliflower crust pizza. I also wanted to let her know I had a gluten allergy. Usually you say this and they all do a glove change. By the look she gave me it must have look like I spoke a different language. She asked me "what" about 4 times. So, I explained it again but clarified that because I have a gluten allergy that I need them to change their gloves and pull from the bottom for toppings on just my pizza. The other main entree pizza with vegan cheese was for my wife. So, once she understands she takes forever to find it and then takes a good 3 minutes walking around and washing a few serving tools (which I appreciate because it's what she is supposed to do.) Meanwhile, the line is steadily growing and since it's Friday it is BUSY and people's eyes are just on me "the guy with a food allergy holding up the line." At this point the rest of the people on the line are just standing there waiting for her to get my cauliflower pizza crust ready. She finally gets it ready and passes it down the line. She then starts talking to the next guest without the regular pizza that I needed for my wife. So, I try getting her attention and waving my arms saying, Me: "hi I'm sorry I still need the regular entree pizza for my wife." Employee: "Well, you didn't say that." Me: "I'm sorry, yes I did." Frustrated she gets a pizza ready and says "Okay, what you want?!" I just say what I need. And go down the line the other people on the line pulling from the bottom after their glove change. At this point I'm embarrassed that the line had nearly grown to the door because of my apparently hard order. Then we get to the register they lost my ticket. They didn't know what I had and that I wanted it to go. So they make me a ticket and ask if I want it to go. I say yes. Pay and wait for my food. Now, as I'm waiting for my food the employee who had taken my order and gotten my pizza crusts was now delivering pizzas to tables. She brings me my cauliflower crust pizza on a regular pan and not in a box. I say, "Excuse me I needed this to go. Can I get a box?" She says, "sure just wait one minute." 10 minutes go by... and she's still handing out pizza's to others. Another man, walks up and asks to see a manager. All the tables have trash on them and no one is cleaning them off. The man running the pizza peel/stove kind of get into an argument about being understaffed but apologized. A couple sitting next to me gets their pizzas and asked for theirs to go and they came on pans as well. They asked for boxes and she immediately went over and got them. On her way back I say, "Ma'am, I still need a box as well please." She straight up stops, looks at me, and walks by me to get more pizzas." At this point I'm just beyond furious. Not a single part of the Pyro's experience was working. I go ask the poor guy cutting pizzas if there is a regular pizza with vegan cheese up there. He said yeah just came out and I'll get it in a box. Bring the other pizza over and I'll box it up too. This young man was the saving grace of pyro's tonight. He said, "I'm sorry it's so crazy. Hope you come again." Finally out the door at 6:42 I really love Pyro's food but if this is the customer experience I'm going to get I'd rather order a gluten free pizza from dominos.
