Wow! I cant even count how many times I mustve driven by this generic strip mall over the years,…read moremissing out on all the amazing Greek food at this restaurant. I recently saw someone in a Dayton foodie group mention it so I stopped by to check it out. The inside of the place is HUGE. Something youd never realize from the outside. There are plenty of tables to accommodate even at busier times. The place is bright and very clean with lots of Mediterranean decor. The procedure is to order at the counter and then they will bring your food out to you. The staff at the counter was friendly and helpful. I ordered my fave Greek dish, Pastichio (look it up, its amazing). This version did not disappoint and the portion was generous. It came with a side Greek salad. It takes a lot for me to consider this to be done right but the dressing was great, plenty of feta, and actual Greek Olives. My friend got the loaded Gyro with no banana peppers and a side of fries. I sampled of course. The sandwich was HUGE with tons of meat and fresh toppings. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. I might suggest asking for extra Tzatziki sauce to accommodate the size. For dessert was the baklava cheesecake. Something ive never found outside of upstate NY. I was so excited! It was made perfectly... the marriage of cheesecake and baklava together is divine. This place is a must try and my new go to when I am frequently in this area of the Dayton Mall!

After a Great Clips haircut, on the recommendation of the stylist, I tried it out, was very impressed. Been there many times since, never been disappointed. I've since moved to Liberty Twp. but the Phoenician still beckons. Had dinner last night there with my wife. It was a wonderful experience. I felt it was high time I wrote them up. We started with an excellent double-hop IPA and a great Lebanese red wine, I think it was called Kefraya. Gonna seek it out locally, maybe at Jungle Jim's. As always, the pita bread is fresh, oven-hot and delectable. The shankleen appetizer is outstanding, a lovely fusion of greens, lentils, feta cheese, olive oil and spices. Wife ordered schwirma - slow-grilled combo of sliced chicken alongside sliced beef and lamb. The waiter obligingly substituted a side of couscous for rice, no extra charge. I had a braised shank of lamb in a rich tomato sauce. Both entrees were delicious. As always, the portions were very generous, so we took food home along with complimentary fresh pita bread. Besides the great food, the service is superb. The owner makes a point of stopping at each table to ensure that the diners are happy. We look forward to our next visit.

Finally she made reservations for Saturday evening (it is recommended because they get super busy). We got there and was greeted by the owner. BTW, was very down to earth. So their menu looked good (Lebanese food). There is so much to choose from and hard to decide. I especially loved their drink menu, especially wines. We ended up ordering: Appetizers: Baba ghannouge M'hammara Taverna falafel Dinner: Shawarma chicken Kebab mixed grill Drinks: Chateau kefraya, Les Bretches Almaza Pilsner My favorite from the appetizers is the eggplant and falafel! Super fresh and the bread that came with it was so good. Even the dipping sauce was amazing. My Shawarma chicken was super delish. You have to put the garlic butter on the rice! It gives it great flavor. My Mr enjoyed his meal as well. We definitely had to get a to go box because there was so much food. But we will look forward the next day to eat it. Overall, the service was great and I loved the experience. We can see ourselves coming back for more! I can see why my best friend loves it here! Highly recommend you try it.

Service was amazing from the start, super friendly, and Ahmed made the experience even better by letting us try a few samples since it was our first time. That alone stood out. My wife got the falafel bowl and I had the chicken plate with baba ghanoush and pita everything was super fresh and full of flavor. We also tried the eggplant salad and the Jerusalem salad (which had a nice spicy kick), and my wife loved both. We even ended up ordering some of the items we sampled because they were that good. The place was clean, the owners were generous, and you can tell they really care about their food and customers. Definitely coming back next time we are in the area!

We were greeted promptly and with a smile when entering! Very welcoming atmosphere. Service was great! They offered ideas and samples of their Hummus and Baba Ghanoush. Both were absolutely delicious! They make both in house. We ordered: **"Chicken Platter ($17). It came with, Chicken Shawarma, rice, Falafel, Hummus, Grape Leaves, Tzatziki Sauce, Garlic Sauce & Cucumber Salad. ***Side order of Baba Ghanoush & Pita ($7) ***Chicken Wrap ($12). It came with fries and Chicken Shawarma. It came with other toppings but our son only wanted the chicken and pita. ***Lamb Wrap ($10). It came with Fries. It had Tzatziki, Onion, Pickles, Red Cabbage, Tomatoes, & Tahini Sauce. All our food was freshly made, absolutely delicious, very flavorful, and served hot. We got our order to go. The only negative is they served the pitas in a brown paper lunch bag. The bag was not food safe since the bag was made from recycled materials. Usually places will wrap the pitas in aluminum foil or a sandwich bag, or put it on top of your food. We ended up not eating the pitas. I'm sure they tasted good since everything else did. We will definitely be back and highly recommend the place!

This was a mixed experience…read more First - there felt like some confusion about where the entrance was. I know this was a challenge because another couple rolled up after us and also said "oh we are also looking for this place!" Second - service was... not great. After being seated, we waited 15 minutes before anyone even came to take our drinks order - and this was after I stared at the bar for a long time. The tables on either sides... waited a long time for checks and table did not even get cleared for a good 30 to 40 minutes after they left. We had to request extra utensils.. the table only had a set for 2, and they sat the three of us. Towards the end, we ordered our desert to go and the check just so that we would not be stuck waiting... Third? Food is indeed amazing and delish! Their hummus was yummy. I loved my turkish soda with watermelon and strawberry. The tea was good. My husband tried the turkish tea - it was good.. my kebab meal originally did not come with rice - so i ordered a side of it. Important to mention because the rice is freakin delicious a. It was sooo aromatic - like I wantwd to eat two servings of it. Get it if you love rice. Husbands steak was a little chewier than he liked, but he agreed the rice was so good. Overall the food itself meth the expectations that other reviewers put. The service has room for improvement. I would definitely like to come back and give the last star for service..

The sauce on the side was a mix of liquid and chunky and was needed because there was zero seasoning on the potato's. The wrap had no pickle but promised pickle. We stopped here for dinner on a long, long, long drive north to the Detroit area. I really wanted…read moreto get a small taste of local flavor instead of just eating fast food, and Olive was more or less on our way, so we hopped off the interstate to grab a bite. Now, from some of the pictures of the outside on Yelp, it looks like this is a standalone business with a private parking lot. That might have been the case at one time, but either the business moved or it has a second location that's freestanding and the pics are in the wrong spot, as that's not the case now. This Olive is very much in the downtown-ish area, carved into the ground floor of a much larger building. As such, parking may be a bit more challenging since there doesn't appear to be a private lot. That said, we had no trouble finding a spot on the street within a block or two. Parking was paid for with the Passport app, and it was reasonable. Of course, it might be harder during nicer weather -- not a lot of people out on a rainy evening! We walked in to find the restaurant fairly spacious but almost deserted -- only two other people waiting for to-go orders. Kind of odd for a Friday night, but again...weather. The decorations are kind of sparse but the place, including the bathroom, was clean. We ordered our meal at the counter and sat down to wait. Husband got a gyro and fries, and I got the Shish tawook platter, which came with grilled chicken, a salad, rice, and pita. We also got an order of the Greek potatoes to try out as an appetizer. Service was a little gruff at checkout but gave us a genuine, kind-hearted thank you as we left, so I guess they just had to warm up to us, lol. The potatoes came out first and were my favorite part of the meal! They were clearly cooked fresh. I'm honestly not sure what's Greek about them as they kinda reminded me of hash browns (the cubed, hash kind) with a little squeeze of lemon and maybe some herbs on top...but if it ain't broke, don't fix it! They were piping hot and very crispy. Husband and I enjoyed our meals, too. His gyro was very large and almost over-stuffed with gyro meat. The fries were medium-cut but tasted like McDonald's fries somehow...not complaining. My Shish tawook was very juicy and flavorful. I've had better rice and pita but these were both quite serviceable and I enjoyed a fairly healthy-feeling meal. Honestly, my true rating is maybe more in-line with a 3.5...but I don't have any super severe criticisms and we had a quite pleasant time overall, so I'll just round up to a 4. Seems like they do a lot of carryout / delivery business. I'd recommend this spot for a decently healthy, very fresh Mediterranean bite if you're in the area.
