I finished my treatment of Accutane and I called the dermatologist's office to confirm my next steps. The girl that answered didn't have any idea of what to do, she kept putting me on hold. For 20 mins I was on hold, and I hung up. And recalled again, and you know what her excuse was "We are busy." My question was a simple "do I need to make an appt or no,". Simple yes or no. Nothing too crazy. And then she transferred me to another girl. This other girl didn't even know that I had finished my treatment of Accutane. For a medication this highly regulated, isn't this the least you should know. Every-time I come here, the staff don't know what they're doing. My last visit, one of the other receptionists, she changed my method of secondary contraceptive, and almost made me ineligible for my next round of medication. I never write reviews. But this dermatology office is so ridiculously bad and unreliable. None of the staff are in sync, they all say something different. You have to be mean to them to get what you needed. Please find a different dermatology office. This one is unprofessional and their staff are incompetent. read more

I have been to this dermatologist for years now ever since my primary doctor recommended me to come here. I went here yesterday for my acne treatment and I have Tammy. She was super nice, friendly, and great person to have conversations with. She did my acne facial really good, smooth, and knows how to extract acne without hurting my skin. I usually come here to get my acne check out by a doctor and gives prescription on acne and knows what you need. I mainly come here a lot for my appointment. There is plenty of parking. This place has helped my brother with his difficult hormonal acne. This place was so welcoming and transparent when it comes to helping their customers. Seeing the other positive posts about this place, I'm planning on coming here by myself in the future to get some treatment to my face, especially having this hairy and nasty mole removed. This place was able to give a quick treatment and prescription to my brother in less than 12 minutes or was it 10? Not sure but I'm glad that this place was amazing. This place even had one of those touchscreens that reminds me of those little smart boards I saw on TikTok. The rooms had it and it was a touch screen so I was able to have some fun reading the stuff on there. I was able to read some of the articles, and I recognized almost all of the information on there as someone who loves to read medical articles and journals, and also a Health Humanities minor. I took my son to see Dr. Nguyen after a referral from a relative, who is a patient there. From the moment he walked in, I knew this appointment was going to be a waste of time. He entered the room with his assistant, who had a clipboard ready to write down whatever prescription he said out loud. He barely glanced at my son--literally two seconds--and immediately diagnosed him with atopic dermatitis. When I told him that my son also has a staph infection, he casually confirmed it: "Yes, so he has both." No further discussion, no real explanation. Noted; we have already taken him to a few other derms and know what his diagnosis is. As I tried to ask about a proper treatment plan, he rushed through a list of options--all of which we had already tried. The first major red flag? He never even examined my son's body. He only looked at his head and cheeks. When we pulled up my son's pant leg to show him the extent of his skin condition, he touched it with his bare hands--no gloves, no handwashing before or after. Completely unprofessional and unsanitary. In the end, we walked out with him telling us there's "not much on the market" for children under two, so our best bet is OTC products (which we've already used), but he'd go ahead and write us a prescription anyway. The entire consultation was $125, and it was an absolute waste of money. We got zero new insight, zero confidence in his expertise, and zero care or effort from him. read more

Instead of receiving treatment from the MD themselves I was tossed to their PA who mutilated my body. I experience nerve damage still from this day forward and have a horrible hole punch scar on my arm. Seeing how the PA went about removing my cyst she obviously didn't care enough to do it properly. She just haphazardly cut a chunk out and stitched me up like a pig. Now I am left with an embarrassing scar that everyone mistakes for a vaccine scar. I haven't gone to Dr. Nguyen for over a year now, maybe almost two, but I see he hasn't changed. I happened to read other poor reviews for this doctor, so it compelled me to write a review. I should have written one shortly after I had gone to him, but better late than never. Dr. Nguyen is a horrible doctor. I would never go to him again even if he was the only dermatologist I could see. I would rather suffer. He is arrogant, unfriendly, doesn't have a personality, short, and a miserable old man (I am old too so I can say that) who should retire. I never felt he had any concern for me or my condition. I was basically another "customer" and revenue source, I wasn't a patient. He did provide me with a prescription for some ointment that seemed to work, but I shouldn't have to be treated like cattle to get it. There are other competent and caring dermatologists out there. I am surprised he is still in business. The five star reviews for Dr. Nguyen are probably fake. The only real five-star reviews that are real are for Tammy, the esthetician. I have never gone to her, but those reviews seem genuine. I have received great service from the front counter staff. They were attentive and helpful. If you get a referral to this doctor, ask for another one or you will waste your time and money. Don't settle for inferior healthcare. You are in the driver's seat. read more

This doctor said I don't need to worry about skin cancer until I'm 70 because I'm Asian. I came in for new and abnormal moles and some bled overnight, without looking and inspecting he said I need cosmetic surgery and pushed that on me and started talking about cost and how long it would take. I said my concern is if something isn't benign and I need to know if these moles are clear of those concerns because they bleed overnight, he insisted I picked on them and I said no and that I'm not interested in cosmetic surgery. I guess I hit the right note because he started berating me and I asked him if we could have a professional conversation because he's coming across condescending and I would like to have a professional conversation. He started air quoting himself while yelling at me and said that he told me to get cosmetic surgery and I'm not doing that, I told him im out in the sun a lot and I have concerns and would like to talk about preventative care. He started yelling again and I said that's not a professional conversation and he said "no, we are not getting along" and I left , that was all in 2 mins. If you come here for health care, DONT. If you're not getting cosmetic surgery be ready to get screamed at. Apparently Asians don't get cancer until 70 years old, this is per this doctor. read more

Do not go to the male dermatologist here (not sure of his name bur I think it started with a "V"). He has zero service mindset as a professional service provider. He walked in, I showed him my alopecia, doesn't explain anything at all and just asks do you want a shot? No explanation of what it is, why it is there, or how to treat it. I had to ask him to dig out any information and his answers were very short and vague. I came to get professional advice and treatment but that does not exist within this man at all. I literally walked out of office within 5 minute of seeing the doctor. He seemed uninterested in providing any explanations at all. Maybe the other dermatologists are better but the older male dermatologist is definitely not worth a penny or second of my time. I've been coming here for years and Tammy is a blessing. I've been getting facials and extractions for my acne since highschool and from my experience Tammy has been the most gentle and pleasant. She's very sweet and sessions never feel awkward because she's very easy to talk to. Even more so, you can tell she really cares about your skin because she loves to give tips and advice from her experience and boy is she experienced. My skin has definitely gotten better since coming to see her. My biggest concern had always been the big black heads on my nose, but after more sessions, my pores feel like they've reduced visibly so much. It's even more satisfying seeing all the black/white heads on the cloth after. She works so quickly, I'm always surprised with how much she's able to get! Nope... not very personable. Seems as though he doesn't really want to talk to you or spend time with you or listen to what the situation is. I have had the skin problem for a long time and it is serious I have rashes and blisters all over my skin. They itch worse than you could ever imagine, and they scar my body and don't heal. I look like a monster so this is not something minor. I have taken every antibiotic, steroid and cream known to man including testing on my skin, and biopsies which comes back that the doctor doesn't know all the time I explained that to him. He prescribed me an antibiotic, some creams nodded and walked out. don't waste your time people I even saw the reviews before this I was about to walk out I should've. I have been seeing Dr. Nguyen for more than 15 years. I have been getting facial treatments since I was a teenager. To list out what I have done: facials, Botox, mole removal, fillers and a round accutane. I do not see any other provider as I feel Dr. Quan is knowledgeable and realistic in the way he treats patients. You just need to listen and follow what his instructions and advice for you and your condition and I promise it never fails. The facility is clean, beautiful and the staff are nice and I won't let any other place touch my face. Also, I want to mention Dr. Quan is honest.
