These donuts certainly satisfy the craving. The service is very friendly and prompt. I really enjoy the strawberry twists, the maple and any of the cream filled varieties. They have vanilla eclairs which I haven't seen elsewhere. It's very budget-friendly as well. Get there early because they sell out sometimes it's a neighborhood hotspot. read more

Me and my 6 year old started coming here once a week while he was in school and then tried to continue it in the summer too, we LOVE IT! These are the freshest donuts I've ever tried, the quality is always consistent and the customer service is so welcoming. This is an AMAZING family business with the greatest tasting donuts and kolaches. My personal favorite are the Jalapeño Kolaches. So polite and always smiling. Such a wonderful little donut shop in East plano! I grew up right by here and would come get donuts every single Friday! I recently came by today and got a dozen donut holes and a kolache which was FANTASTIC! They will heat up the kolaches to make sure they are warm and ready to go. The donut holes are fantastic; they're very sweet and the perfect little treat! They have a wide variety of donuts to choose from and they also have a large variety of drinks! Small and unpretentious family ran donut shop. I always get their glazed and chocolate glazed donuts. It's the closest thing to Kristy Kreme donuts without the hike and lines! They don't have any seating so it's strictly to go. They have breakfast sandwiches and croissants, coffee, OJ, etc....all the things you'd expect from a donut shop. Pros: They're close, and the people are friendly. The blueberry cake donuts are good. Cons: Don't bother if you're not up with the birds. By 10am, it's probably useless to go, and will get your kids' hopes up only to be dashed by their sorry supply. I have 5 kids, and today was the 2nd time in a week that my wife has walked down there with the kids, as a surprise, to find them utterly picked over by 10am. Furthermore, their apple fritters are overloaded with cinnamon, and underloaded on apple. THEY NEVER HAVE ENOUGH NON-GLAZED DONUTS PREPARED FOR THE RUSHES THEY GET, which is a shame, as their glazed donuts, which are kept in stock better, are too sickly sweet. And they continue to lose our business due to not keeping their donuts stocked past the crack of bloody dawn. Summary: The people are nice, and it's a neighborhood shop, but if you're not a VERY early bird, your experience will suffer due to their lack of preparedness in everything besides their below-average glazed stock. Avoid the apple fritters unless you have a cinnamon fetish. You won't find much fruit. Go early if you don't want your kids to be disappointed due to them not keeping stocked, which IS A PATTERN. TLDR: If you've ever experienced an HEB and then had to suffer the switch to Kroger, going to this donut shop feels like that switch. They are always out by mid-morning, and between that and the flavor of their glazed and fritters, it is a regular disappointment. read more

These are the very best kolaches around, ever since I was a kid. The glazed and blueberry cake donuts are great, too. My sister loves the ham and cheese croissant. The family that owns this shop are all very nice. They will remember your name and ask you about your life if you come in often enough. Q Donuts has always been our favorite donut place. It's clean and the owners are so professional and courteous. Their donuts never give my family members a sour stomach like other donut places do. Another reviewer mentioned that they are ill prepared and never have enough donuts for everyone. I've never looked at it that way. I've just thought that the donuts are so excellent that they sell out quickly. I understand why they don't want to make too many and then have leftovers. No one wants to buy leftover donuts and the waste would be a financial drain for a small business like them. I have such fond memories from high school here - I remember getting up extra early just so I can grab a kolache or a bag of donut holes to keep me awake during my zero hour class. I come here every once when i while if i have a little time to stop by before work. The workers were always nice and greet you once your in the door. I use to work at a donut shop so i know how hard it is waking up this early making donuts. The only things ive tried here is the glazed twist (pretty good), sausage biscuit which really wasn't a biscuit more like they used the left over dough to make a bun but it was really good. The owner's daughter went to school in culinary arts and she works with her parents to manage the best donut place in East Plano. The shop is named after the owner's son and he will occasionally come in during weekends and holidays to help. The donuts and rolls are so incredibly delicious, it is a must visit place.
