I made a special deal with him to buy his leftover donuts that he is literally going to throw away and instead I offered him cash, I guess at a discount to take them off his hands to give them away to people I just drove 20 minutes out of my way today as he called me and told me to come over and when I got there, he completely reneged on the deal and is trying to change the price, very typical !! No matter what Dog and pony show you hear about this guy, he is only in it for himself and does not keep his word !!!! One of my favorite donut joints at the moment. Icing to dough ratio is on point. Apple fritter is good; a little bit crispy and not too oily. The cronuts are an equal blend of donut and croissant compared to other places I've tried, where some places tend to err more croissanty or donutty. The cronut flavors are also pretty unique with crème brûlée cronut being my favorite. I will say I am not a fan of the braided kolache because I feel like there is too much dough to hot dog. Service is friendly and there's always parking out front. I'd recommend going early (before 9am) to have the best selection. There is a table inside if you wish to eat there, but it's mainly for takeout. Owners are very friendly. read more

The owner was so sweet, she told me how to heat up the kolaches at home. The kolaches were great - buttery and creamy, sweet and salty. The cronuts were the best I've ever had. The cronuts are huge, and the specific maple frosting and bacon used was better than your average fare. I heat mine up in an air fryer for 1-2 minutes, and it's perfect. I agree with the other reviews in that a clearly visible price chart would be helpful. My order for a cronut and a croissant sausage was around $13 for reference. This place located in the same lot as the Starbucks and is all the way in the back left corner area next to the chicken place. Kinda behind the decommissioned gas station. The decorative cronuts here are definitely what sets them apart from the numerous donut shops around town. But they also have several other interesting donuts and a large variety. And I do like their sausage rolls/hotdog buns and premade sandwiches. Both the man and lady behind the counter are very nice. Appreciate the freebies we sometimes get. I completely agree with a pre-existing review of Pop Donuts. The donuts are pretty good, but there was no pricing on the board for the donuts when I walked in for the first time last week. I ordered 6 donuts - 4 for my kids, a creme brulee donut for my wife and a strawberry filled donut for myself. The total came out to $27! I still don't know the itemized pricing of each of the donuts I got, but read from another review that a cronut is $7. That is outrageous. I know these are more labor-intensive to make, but like another Yelp reviewer mentioned...even super upscale donut shops don't charge that much. If I'm going to get gourmet donuts, or specialty donuts, I would rather get Jaram's or Hurts Donuts. I will say that the two staff that were there were nice people and I have nothing against them whatsoever. For pure price alone, I will not be re-visiting this establishment, unfortunately. It is probably the closest donut shop to where we live and I would frequent this location if it was more reasonably priced. read more

WOW!!! Best donuts I've EVER had! They are pillow soft and not too sweet -- truly delightful. My personal favorite is the cinnamon buttermilk cake donut, it's absolutely delicious. Also, the donut holes literally "pop" in your mouth, just like the name! Melt in your mouth treats. I live 30 minutes away and there are a ton of other donut shops nearby, but I make the drive for these donuts. Also, the service is phenomenal. Soo sad to see this establishment go down hill. My husband and I frequented Pop Donuts most Saturdays and both left a great review before. We recommend the cronuts to all our friends in the area. Sad that our experience today was terrible. The cronuts had no flavor and were way over cooked. When pointed out at purchase we were told it's always that dark it's just the glaze which has not been the case in the past. The glazed donuts which are usually creamy and tasty were doughy and flavorless. The prices have gone up considerably as well. I really hope they can return to their former tastefulness and this was a bad day, but on principle alone I don't want to pay $25 for 6 donuts, 2 cronuts and some holes. read more

First the good...the donuts are pretty average. Our favorite donut shop just down the road from this place still takes the prize for the standards (glazed, cake frosted). POP Donut has really good apple fritters, albeit a little doughy. So if you love apple fritters, give them a try. What impressed me most is the yummy cronuts. BUT they come at a cost. A steep one at that....I have been pondering how to write my review. If i'm being totally honest, paying $7 for a cronut is a little ridiculous to me. I appreciate the work and ingredients, but that pricing is not justified. I have seen super upscale donut boutiques that don't charge near that much. It would be helpful if the owner considered posting pricing for customers so people are aware of the amount they'll pay. We may return for donuts at some point, but will have to skip the cronuts. The owner is very sweet, but all the kindness in the world doesn't make up for overpriced bakery items. To put things in perspective...CAKE BAR in Dallas sells a 5" layer cake that serves about ten people for fifteen bucks. I can only surmise that not much market research was done with the pricing for this place. For me, spending nearly $30 on 3 cronuts and 3 donuts is not budget friendly. Got to try 4 different cronuts today: Key Lime, Raspberry, and two different chocolate topped ones. Key Lime was by far my favorite, as you could really taste the fresh real lime flavor, not something overly artificial. All of the toppings were what you'd expect from a good donut topping. I could easily eat all 4 at once, but did good and only ate 1/4 of each =D. Cronut itself had great texture to it, crisp on the outside, slight chew on the inside, and a touch of the rich butter flavor. I rarely give 5 stars but this guy got it. I've avoided them for a long time just out of ignorance. Someone told me that they were also halal here. I didn't know what that meant. Finally got curious enough to stop in and I was not disappointed. The clerk was was very friendly. He was a good sport about me taking pictures to send to my family. The kolaches are is a big as a puffer fish but they have a decent flavor. Really impressed by their creations. If I weren't located 40 miles away I would drive my girls in for the occasion donut.
