I had been to this nail salon once before, so when I wasn't able to get into the salon that I normally go to, I figured Q Nail and Spa would be a good substitute. Haha. I walked in and it was very busy... Granted, it was a Saturday afternoon. But I expected to be greeted by one of the employees when I walked in. After several seconds standing up front, one of the nail techs finally acknowledged me while barely lifting her head. I asked her if they had time for a full set, and she said there would be a wait. I sat down in a chair without being acknowledged for at least 20-25 minutes. Again, it was busy, I get that. I expected a wait. But no one even came over to tell me how long the wait would be or to let me know that they knew I was waiting and that they would be with me as soon as possible. I was beginning to wonder if they even knew I was waiting. Then a man peaked his head from behind a plant and told me to come over. I sat down and told him I had a picture on my phone of what I wanted my nails to look like. Very simple and short, nude color. He said, "short and square?" I said yes, that I worked on a computer all day so I need to keep my nails fairly short. He looked at my hands for a minute and said that I didn't need tips because I wanted my nails short. I thought, ok, he's the professional, he knows what he's doing. He started putting the acrylic over my natural nails and even though I was a little confused, I let him keep doing what he was doing. He worked fast, and it shows in his work. My nails are all different shapes, certainly not the shape or length I wanted, in fact they're so short that my natural nails are a tiny bit longer than the acrylic on at least two of my fingers. I wanted nails to lengthen my fingers but these "nails" he gave me make my fingers look stubby. Honestly the nails look like Chiklets. Not attractive. I had a picture of exactly what I wanted my nails to look like, how could he get this so wrong? I feel like he was in a bad mood and he didn't care about the quality of work he was doing. But, since I hate confrontation and I'm a pushover, I said nothing. Even though I was angry that I was paying good money for this shoddy manicure, I kept quiet. I paid and left, chalking it up to a bad experience. Fast forward to this morning when I was getting ready for work, I noticed a rather large air bubble on my thumb nail (I had gel nail polish put on). A while later the air bubble popped and so now I have a hole almost as big as my whole thumb nail. I first thought about going back to have them fix it, but I think I'll go to the salon I originally wanted to go to and have them completely redo my nails. Highly disappointed. I read more

Had a wonderful experience here. The place was clean and bright and there were so many color choices. I walked right in with my mother and we were both able to be seated in a pedi chair. Had a fantastic pedicure that felt incredible! Loved the hot stones and the paraffin treatment. Linda was so nice and did an exceptional job. This will be a place we return to again. read more

Coming from someone who does her own nails and is VERY picky with my pedicures, I was blown away at how well they did. I walked in on my lunch break (11:30am), and luckily beat the 12pm rush! I was super observant and noticed everyone was treated equally, and all of their nail techs did a good job. Their basic pedicure is $30 and includes a foot scrub, small leg massage, and hot stone rub. The deluxe includes a paraffin foot treatment for $40. I've been to several nail salons in the valley and they treat you like dirt and are very "in and out." Q Nails took their time and made you feel valued. I showed the girl who did mine a photo that I found online and asked if she could do a design. She very happily said of course! And let me know right away that would be a $5 design charge. When I was finished she told me to take my time relaxing and using the massage chair if I wanted and to let her know when I was ready to leave where she followed me up front to pay. I went here yesterday for a mani/pedi with one of my friends...I had an OK experience one other time here so this visit would be the deciding factor of whether or not I would go back. I wanted a regular polish/mani pedi. We got all set in the foot bath area and she asked me probably 5 different times why I didn't want gel...I had to keep insisting that I just wanted regular polish. At that point, once she couldn't "upsell" me to gel, I feel like her care for the experience totally left. I barely got a foot scrub, a sorry foot massage and she was already starting on the polish. No base coat, and her work was so sloppy I had to spend some time when I got home cleaning the lines. As for the manicure, I spend 20 min with my hands soaking so by the time she got to that they were so wrinkly it wasn't even funny. She roughly cut all of my cuticles which I didn't really want, but it did hurt because my skin was so soft. The same attention to the polish job on my nails was given, no base coat and just flying through. She "shaped" my nails and when I got home I realized the edges weren't even smooth. The whole cost was $45- they tacked on $5 and didn't tell me but it was for gel removal on ONE toe. Ridiculous. Not to mention, the whole time my friend and I sat in the pedicure chairs, the two workers talked in a different language and laughed between themselves the whole time. I have been here before and will not return! Yesterday was the worst mani/pedi I have ever had. The person was more interested in watching the Olympics then paying attention to what he was doing. I had the worst nail experience here. I had their coupons on my phone, the lady that sits at the first station informed me, after my pedicure, that they needed to be printed out to work. After my nail service for acrylics was done, my nails were uneven, one hand shorter than the other. The shorter one to short already to even the other hand up. I asked for white tip and there was barely any left, so they will be grown out in a couple days. I paid full price for everything, plus the add ons, the lady shrugged her shoulders and headed to the back, while the girl who did my pedicure cashed us out. She apologized for the unsatisfactory service, but said she couldn't do anything cause that was her boss.. Horrible customer service! read more

Rudest Asian women ever! I asked for a specific nail art design and even showed a picture and asked if she could do it... She replied "yes". Much to my surprise she came no where close to the picture. She tried several times then became upset storming out of her chair asking the other Asian woman to work on my nails meanwhile screaming about me in her language to the other woman. This drew attention of the entire salon and was extremely uncomfortable. I will NEVER go back. I thought they were in business to please their customers but apparently not! Terrible service! I went in for a manicure and the woman I had made my appointment with wasn't in and hadn't bothered to call and cancel or move her appointments, I told the front desk this and they told me it wasn't their problem and to come back another time. I asked if I could wait for an open chair, they said that would be just fine but the man who did my nails hates his job (openly admitted it to me) and was very rough with my hands and rude. My 1st visit will be my last. I went in for a pink/white acrylic without a plastic tip. I asked for a natural look but did not get it. The finished product was terrible. The white line was uneven, they are bulky in some areas extra thin in others. They have a yellow tint to them all. Very unprofessional. To top it all off my fingers throbbed for 2 days after. Don't waste your money or your time with Q Nail Spa. Find a professional salon that will do quality work that is worth the price. I talked to them about it and they wanted to soak and drill the acrylic off and put a new set on. Considering my fingers were throbbing and painful already I was not going to chance them hurting me further. I had a man doing my nails I was asked 3 questions throughout my visit and as soon as my top coat was applied he was up and out the door. Maybe if he wasn't rushed he would have done a better job. It's nice to feel appreciated when you are giving a company your business especially your first time and I did not feel appreciated or comfortable at all. If you like to waste money and be ignored then this may be the right place for you otherwise Please think twice before visiting this salon. read more
