I can't believe I've never written a review for T&T! I love this place, it's my go-to spot for dates with my girlfriends. The vibe is fun, food is delicious, and drinks are just right. We normally sit outside, and even in the middle of summer it's comfortable. There's fans and it's always a comfortable environment. Service is ALWAYS super friendly. Let's talk food, I rarely finish an entire plate but the chicken quesadilla (which is huge) heats up nicely. My friends tend to go for the tacos and I've never heard any of them complain. Mama's Queso dip is a delicious queso fundido with ground beef and it's just so darn good , plus you can now get it on the happy hour menu (it's a smaller size than pictured but just right for two). The queso frito bites are drizzled in a sweet sauce that adds a delicate flavor to enhance the cheese. The desserts have always been impressive, I know one had Nutella but can't remember the one pictured. My friend's daughter loves them all. Never been here before but I saw it filled with cars in is parking lot plenty of times! Came with a few friends on a Friday after noon and it was empty which was great for us. We had ordered our drinks and some appetizers, the appetizers came fairly quick and the drinks came a little bit after. The environment was chill, they have a touchtunes machine that we used and created the vibe in the restaurant. The food was good but it took forever to come out for just being 4 people in the restaurant. I enjoyed what I got but the food does cost a bit more than I would like for what it was. Saw the great reviews on Yelp and had to give it a try and I'm glad I did. My husband and I had lunch and the ambiance is very chill, easy going spot to just hang and talk. There is outside seating along with inside they had a few high tops, bar and an arab with a couch to sit. As soon as we walked in we were greeted, server was very attentive and helpful. After waiting to use the restroom for approximately 4.5 min a bartender came from the back, I proceeded to walk into the bathroom when the bouncer immediately put his hand up to stop me from entering in order for the white bartender to enter ahead of me. I used to go to this place back in the day when it was a hole in the wall hidden in a plaza near Miami Dade College. It was great, good food, good vibes, and reasonably priced. I started going there after I found out the family of a friend of mine started the place. I knew Jonadab as a fellow employee at our long time place of work. He was good people, so I decided to support his family business. Fast forward a few years since they relocated, I don't go there as much. The clientele changed, the vibe changed. I don't think anyone remembered me from their early start as a hole in the wall restaurant. The food quality went down, items got taken off the menu, but the service was still great. This place blew up in the wrong way. I ran into some young patrons that were disrespectful, when I asked for a manager.... The manager asked the bartender who was closed out. I was on my last beer and was leaving soon, the manager didn't care who disrespected who... just who was staying & still paying. I was asked to leave. I went one more time afterwards, but decided this business is no longer worth supporting. Shout out to Randy, Steve, Juliet, and AJ... they're great employees and good people. read more

Tacos and Tattoos used to be a very small place in Sable Chase that was always crowded, but it was family-owned, the food was great, and the environment was always friendly and kind. Since they've moved to this bigger location, they've done nothing but grow themselves into a restaurant that has tasteless food, charges WAY too much money or overcharges you, as I will show from my pictures. They seem to have lost all those family values and now just sell food that has very little flavor. What the southerners say is, "they got a little too big for their britches." Today, after a very long time of not going there, I thought to try again as I used to love having their crunchy little hard shelled tacos. Since today is $2 taco day, what better day to go, right? As you can see, from the first image, these are being sold as their $2 tacos. I can assure you these are not even close to being actual or normal sized tacos. They're more like little chips. They got the smallest little flower tortilla they could find, put a little bit of meat on there and some toppings, and that's what they're calling their "tacos." They didn't even have any flavor to them. Then I asked for a little bit of their salsa, which I used to love getting their salsa and chips for free. The girl charged me $1.50 for this teensy little thing of salsa and didn't disclose that to me. I get the bill that I think is going to be $6.00, and when I questioned her because it was over $8.00, only then did she disclose the $1.50. She also did not provide me or my friend an itemized bill even when she took my credit card. If you're going to charge that much money for something so small, the waiter or bartender should disclose that to the customer so they have a choice as to whether they want to pay that much money for something so small. This used to be a great place to eat with really good, tasty food, and now it's just become a flavorless, overpriced mexican restaurant. Very sad. I will never spend my money there again. Yesterday I placed an order with your restaurant, when the delivery arrived half my order was missing. When I called the restaurant to advise them, one of the staff members picked up, acknowledged the mistake, then personally delivered some of the missing items. Unfortunately, once I opened the second bag, I noticed the guacamole and chips were missing (this is the third time). I called the restaurant to inform them of the issue and obtain a refund. They told me they couldn't get ahold of the manager but they would leave a note so he can call me back. It's been 24 hours and no one has called me and I'm still waiting for my guacamole and chips or a refund. This is not the first time this happens to me when ordering online. read more

I had been to the original location a few times, but this was my first time going to the new location. This location is definitely bigger with better parking, but I feel like they could use their indoor space more efficiently. While they have a ton of tables outside, I only counted six tables inside. We decided to wait a little longer for an indoor table, because the vibe is totally inside with the awesome decor. Outside it's just tables, no vibe, plus it was hot and humid. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We got guacamole and chips for appetizer, and a couple of margaritas to start. My wife had the rellenos and I had a burrito with Carne Asada. The food as always was fantastic! No complaints there. I feel like they could make better use of the indoor space, maybe get rid of the sofas and then add a few more tables. My 45th birthday was completely ruined at Tacos & Tattoos in West Kendall on March 3rd, 2026. We were a party of 14 people celebrating my birthday, and the night started badly when the table was only set for 12. It took the restaurant about an hour and a half to finally accommodate our group. Our server, Jessica, clearly had a problem with us splitting the check into three groups. From that moment on, the service went downhill fast. She never even took my drink order. I asked for water multiple times and never received it the entire night. When I tried to change my order, she said the food was already plated and that I would still have to pay for the meal I didn't want if I changed it. I placed a new order for my wife and her father, and after waiting nearly an hour we were told the food had already been delivered -- except it had actually been given to another table. The order never came, the service never improved, and after asking several times for water that never arrived, we finally decided to leave. To top it all off, the check included a service fee for service we never received. The issue wasn't the money -- it was the terrible service and lack of professionalism during what was supposed to be a special celebration with my family and friends. As someone who works in hospitality myself, I can say that our server completely missed the whole point of hospitality. My 45th birthday at Tacos & Tattoos turned into a complete fiasco. I hope management pays attention to how customers are being treated because no celebration should end like this. read more

I attended the Silky Sheets event at Tattoos and Tacos and witnessed an incident that made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. During the event, I saw a situation involving a manager named Steven and a woman escalate physically. From where I was standing, it appeared that he placed his hands around her neck area while restraining her. It was disturbing to watch. Police were called to the scene. What made the situation even more unsettling was how it felt like the incident was being minimized afterward. As a customer, I did not feel reassured by how things were handled. Regardless of the circumstances leading up to it, seeing management involved in a physical altercation in a public setting is not something I expect when attending a community event. It left a very negative impression on me, and I personally would not feel comfortable returning. read more

My go to taco spot! I used to live right behind this restaurant and regret never taking advantage of it being so close to me. All the food is always delicious and there are always new things being added to the menu. The bartenders and servers are young, fun, and very knowledgeable. Cool spot. Went for the first time with my brother. It's smaller than what I thought but they have indoor/outdoor seating. We got sat right away. Santiago, our server, was super chill. Very attentive and apologetic. Honestly, the reason for the four stars. The food was another thing. They actually delivered it to the wrong table before putting it back under the window and then bringing it to our table. Nothing special about the fresh guac. If they added truffle crema with cotija then it'd be more exciting. The drinks were stronger than The Rock. Which can be a good thing or bad, depending on the vibe you want. We had the horchata margaritas. I loved the cinnamon sugar rim! We ordered the entree and dessert right after each other because they were doing last call. My brother got the order of 3 tacos, one chicken dilla, and two shrimp dilla - they took really long to come out. They said that because they're fried they take longer... The dessert literally came out before his tacos did. However, my brother said the shrimp dilla tacos were amazing and the wait was worth it! I had the carne asada Jibarrito burrito without the onions. It was good, spicy. The rice and beans come in the burrito and not on the side. For dessert we had the churros. They were good. Occasionally, I try a restaurant because of accolades from other Yelp posters and I'm left scratching my head as to why I just don't get it. Tacos & Tattoos seems to fit that bill. I gave it several chances, but it actually seemed to get worse each time. My first visit there was sort of ordinary. I really enjoyed the vibe and I had excellent service that evening. My wife ordered the soup which she found uninspired and I had the Pablo Nachos. I thought the nachos were OK and the portion was large, but the guacamole was bland, almost to the point of tasteless. Overall, it was an above average I will not exciting experience. I returned a second time in order the tacos. I also tried the Queso Frito Bites. The latter was listed as a starter, but I would call it a nonstarter. The tacos were decent , but simply were not exciting. The Jamaican jerk chicken lacked the flavor that the name suggested. The pork belly was tasty, but the texture was a bit unappealing. The Carne Asada was the highlight of the three. Again the atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. I continue to read the rave reviews and figured I would give it another try. On the next two occasions, it was simply too crowded and the way it was too long. No fault of the restaurant people, seem to like it and it appears to be a very successful business. The next time we were told there was a 30 minute wait but after 45 minutes, we were pretty hungry and left to go elsewhere. The other night we arrived and there was no line and some empty tables both inside and outside. We literally stood there for 25 minutes and we're ignored. Each time I called someone over they seem to find me invisible. I'm not quite sure the reason for this, but I'm wondering if perhaps it was because I did not fit their demographic well enough. At any rate there will be no next time as I believe I've given it a fair shake. They have plenty of stellar reviews and will do fine without my patronage. Super cool spot! My friend celebrated her birthday here on a Friday night and they were very accommodating. We had a few tables reserved in the patio area, and they let us decorate our hearts out! I know. What about our servers were amazing... They were fast, they were tentative and food came out in a very timely fashion which I was very surprised since we had such a large party. I had the cauliflower tacos which I would definitely order again as they were delicious! My husband had a burrito... I can't remember if it was chicken or beef but he said it was delicious as well...
