The drinks here are great and they give you a punch card, after your fifth purchase the sixth is free. They allow replacement of the bubbles/boba/tapioca for free! To the choices of grass jelly/lychee/ etc. I recently also tried one of their poke bowls. The poke bowl price/size ratio was good. They have yakult, slushies, and half and half drinks too. If you don't want toppings, you can leave them out! They also have pretty good poke bowls. Tuna, salmon, shrimp and veggie options for protein. You can have it as a salad with either spinach or iceberg lettuce base or witb brown rice. I got the Aloha poke bowl. It's really good and it comes with shrimp, tuna (raw), and salmon(raw). The shrimp wasn't overly cooked and the bowl combination had really good sauce. I ordered a Passion Fruit Slush which I have to say was AMAZE BALLS !!! They might have taken over my Kung Fu Tea spot as far as Passion Fruit flavored slushes. It was so fresh and pure tasting amazing flavor in each sip from my straw was better than the previous one. Also it is huge serving for about the same price as Kung Fu Tea which gives you about half for the same price which is not sexy at all. My co worker ordered the Matcha Red Bean Slush which was horrible and tasted like liquid death lol but thats what she likes and I will not base any of my review on her selection lol. I usually frequent this place because my kids likes the bubble tea and I would order the Poke Bowl. After this last time, No more!!! I ordered my regular Poke Bowl and this was the "3rd" time it gave me just a bad stomachache it sent me sitting in the bathroom several times. I should have learn after the 1st and 2nd times, but 3 strikes you're out. The Poke Bowl does not taste bad but I know the raw seafood they use is not away fresh because there has been times I threw the whole order in the garbage because of the smell. Normally raw fish(Sashimi) should not have an odor depending on the type of fish but regardless it shouldn't be strong. When I can smell it even with the sauce masking it I know they're trying to be frugal and prolong something that should be thrown out. Overall I am staying away from their food. Coconut bubble tea tastes like you should be drinking it on the beach under an umbrella. A+ The fish is plentiful, I always get salmon and tuna. They do have vegan/veggitarean options like tofu and soy beans. You can build your own bowl or go for the prefixed ones. (Classic poke sauce is where it's at. I always ask for extra. It's like spicy mayo) This place is Chinese-run and they are a well-oiled machine! No matter how many people are in line, your order won't take longer than 6-7 mins tops. My biggest gripe. The issue I can't seem to get passed: THE AMOUNT OF GODDAMN PACKAGING. Sooo much waste!!! They don't recycle either!! Everything is individually wrapped, all the containers are plastic, even the utenciles and if you get a poke bowl and bubble tea just for one person it's a whole trash bag full of WASTE. You write your order down on their togo menu!!!! They take it, read it, make your order, and then toss it in the trash! It's a full goddamn menu! I don't understand why they can't just have the poke bowl or bubble tea options on 1 card that's laminated, use dry erase markers to get your order, pass it down the line and wipe clean to reuse. We went there expecting to be in and out for bubble tea, but we found out that they had just opened their poke station, so why not give it a try? I was expecting what you would get in some places in New York: a poor fish-to-rice ratio, a lack of flavour, and workers who rush to get you out of there. Needless to say, this place exceeded my expectations! The sauce was mixed in with the fish and add-ons, giving the entire bowl the flavor that I asked for. Everything tasted fresh, and I could tell that the workers took their time to make each bowl perfect. David personally delivered our poke bowls to our table, and we had some conversation about how he went to Hawaii for training to see how poke is made there. This review is based solely on the shaved ice, which is touted as authentic Taiwanese style shaved ice. However, I disagree with this sentiment, since these sticky and artificially sweet chunks are nowhere near the light and fluffy layers of shaved snow ice that true Taiwanese shaved ice should be. I ordered the taro snow ice with a scoop of matcha ice cream, red bean topping, and condensed milk I also added boba pearls, which cost extra. The shaved ice was oddly gloopy and sticky, and the texture was just so far off from the melt in your mouth fluffiness that I'm used to from shaved ice. Q Tea Tapas is connected to T-swirl creperie, which I believe is run by the same owner. I almost feel bad giving this place 2 stars, seeing as the owner is so so kind and friendly, and I'm sure the poke bowls and bubble tea are better than the shaved ice. However, I would encourage you to seek out other places if you're looking for Asian shaved ice; there are so many better places in the area. read more
