Two stars. An average milk bubble tea joint in the area. The original milk tea gives me a headache, although not as bad as the ones I get from some other cheap bubble tea places like Kung Fu. Their matcha seems to be okay so I stick with those. The only reason I end up here is because of its amazing location. Pretty good spot to hang out for over a bubble tea after lunch/dinner. But if I'm really craving a good bubble tea, I take a short drive to better places. I mean, this is north jersey. There are bubble tea shops at every corner. Free WiFi. Absolutely LOVE the bubble tea here. I actually went for the mango smoothie with boba. It costs an extra $0.99 or $1.99 for the lightbulb container. Someone at the counter said that they couldn't put the smoothie in the lightbulb container, but I believe the owner told the employee that it was ok this time! I was super happy because I love getting smoothie bobas. Incredibly thankful to him for saying it would be good in the lightbulb. The boba itself was perfect. It wasn't undercooked and not too soft which allowed a little chew. They only have a few tables and seating, so it's difficult when they're busy. However, being able to get the bubble tea here is worth it. The food looks good here so I hope to come back and try the food. read more

Poke burrito was amazing. Absolute favorite compared to the bowl even though it was a bit messy to eat. The seaweed of the burrito really brought out flavor and reminded me of actual sushi unlike just having fish on top of rice. Drinks are too sweet for me. I usually get less sweet milk tea at other boba shops but here the no sweet is even sweeter than other places less sweet. Herbal jelly is super sweet so stick with the bubbles. I do like that they have some food to snack on and nice outdoor tables. Ask for a stamp card! This place is my favorite place in this area. the staff is very friendly and has great services. The food is very fresh and I loved all of the toppings. I recommend the sushi poke bowl with salmon, tuna and cooked shrimp. They will give you a lot of choices of toppings(it will be extra) my only complaint is that the price is a little high (it was $19 for three toppings and drink) I would definitely visit again :) read more

Been passing this place on Main st for days now. Finally came to taste the tea they offer. They have variety of items such as shaved ice and fried snacks and bubbles teas. Ordered grapefruit yakult tea with mango custard and coffee jelly. Tea was pretty good and it was nice to be able to ask them for 'less sweeter ' version. The coffee jelly was just a little too sweet but mango custard was not bad. Saw that this place was connected with the crape place next door. I usually come here for bubble teas. Nothing out of norm or different from other places in terms of taste/tapioca/size. The banana split ice cream was delicious (but I never had ice cream that tasted bad...). Normally, we order from here for my Chinese class, and though our options are limited, we are able to get a discount because one of the student's parents know my teacher (I'm not sure though). I have to admit, the bubble tea is kind of disappointing, not only is it extremely watery, but the flavors do not taste as they should, for example the mango bubble tea does not taste like mango. However I give it 4 stars because I am absolutely in love with the poke bowls. The milk teas remind me of Kung Fu Tea (they have a similar fruity taste). Also got the meximole chicken fingers. TLDR: Great spot for bubble tea and more. If you don't know what bubble tea is, you must be living under a rock. But still, bubble tea is a tea based drink that usually has some combination of fruit, milk, tapioca, and lychee jelly added in. It may seem unusual at first, it's usually love at first taste for most people who haven't tried it before. Usually if you have a decent Asian population in your city, there's bound to a bubble tea place somewhere. So that means that there's bubble team just about anywhere. Anyway, I'm not from around the area, so I came here at the suggestion of some foodie family members. This area of Fort Lee seems like a great place to hang out and it's pretty close to the GW Bridge. If I lived closer, I'd probably frequent this area more. Nearly every spot that has bubble tea has a huge selection of flavors, so it's not surprise that they have a huge selection at Q Tea as well. There are fruit flavors of all kinds available, like mango, peach, kumquat, acai, and many more. If you're not in the mood for that, you can always almond, chocolate, cappuccino, among others. I opted for the Japanese matcha (aka green tea). It was a tad too sweet for me and I do enjoy having the option to decrease the amount of added sugar at other places, but I still enjoyed it. I can't speak on the poke bowls or the tapas, but they looked pretty good. It might be worth a try. Either way, you should come here and at least try the bubble tea. read more

If there is one thing that I've learned from all the Food Network shows I watch is that if your eatery can't find a focus and serves too many different kinds of foods you end up being mediocre in almost all areas. Luckily Q Tea Tapas isn't quite there yet. My first experience was when they had first opened and attempted to advertise themselves as two separate establishments - a bubble tea bar on the left and a creperie on the right. The bubble tea from the start has always been good. The bubbles, pudding, and jellies are prepared properly and never once have I had a tea with a topping that wasn't the right consistency. They also give you the option of getting your drinks with less sweetener. The crepes are made fresh in front of your eyes and the taste is good. You have the option of both sweet and savory crepes, but unfortunately they are very stingy with the amount of toppings they place into your crepe. They serve your crepe in a cone which makes a pretty presentation, but makes it difficult to eat and share... you definitely end up needing to tear into it with your teeth or jab and rip at it with your fingers and the plastic fork they give you. A few months later, the bubble tea creperie added poke and sushi burrito joint into its repertoire. I suppose this was inevitable given the poke craze that hit NYC a few years ago. Having had my fair share of poke over the years I am well versed enough to be able to identify "good poke." My friends had advised me prior that the only way to get poke at Q Tea Tapas was to get the marinated fish - and boy am I glad I listened. Otherwise your poke just doesn't taste good and is too dry. The sauces, flavor profiles, and topping options are your standards that are available at all poke spots. Nothing unique or different to make them stand out. I was pleased with the flavors in my poke bowl, but unfortunately they also skimp on the portions for their poke toppings as they do on their crepes. They give you little bits of what you want in your bowl, and the fish is diced up into small pieces and not small chunks like I am used to. They charge city prices for the poke, yet serve portions that don't match NYC or other even other NJ establishments... the portion simply appears large due to the vast amounts of rice they give you on the bottom of your bowl. What is nice about their poke though, because it is available at the bubble tea bar, is that you can add a bubble tea to your poke bowl for only $1 more - it's like their version of an extra value meal. Bottom line, Q Tea Tapas makes good bubble tea, and nicely tasting crepes and poke, but they definitely skimp on their toppings. read more

And it's super deceiving because in all the pictures on the menu, it's on a plate, but when they served it to us, it was in a cup. Super deceiving. As a boba tea connoisseur, I knew the black milk tea didn't look right as soon as I saw the chocolate milk brown color. I didn't like the taste...it's not the taste of tea, more an artificial creamer taste. Couldn't drink it. The boba was cooked fine, nice, round, chewy...but the "milk tea" taste totally ruined it for me. The acai palmberry was much better (a slight floral aftertaste to it.) Today I ordered the shaved cream in taro with mango ice cream topped with mochi and condensed milk drizzled on top. Physically this looked nice but taste wise, it was not good. As soon as I dug my spoon into it... it was very gooey in consistency. It was very icy, not creamy and lacked flavor. It did not taste like taro at all. This had the same consistency as the Japanese fermented soy beans, or natto. This was just really bad, I don't recommend this dessert. I will however come back to try their bubble teas. read more
