    Shrimp tempura kimbap
    Jay L.

Best Kimbap you can get in the area in my opinion. Really nice atmosphere inside and outside in the back where it looks like they have some outdoor igloos set up. Food we took to go like we normally do, but really love the shrimp tempura Kimbap here. I can finish two myself but worth trying them all here!

Went there for desert. Bingsu was good. Place is very photogenic, specially out back, if you are into those things.

Didn't expect to like this place so much. Portions are big, prices are fair, and the food feels freshly made. The salmon bowl was massive and very satisfying, and the tonkatsu set easily works as a full meal. Kimbap was fresh and great for lunch, and the curry udon was rich and comforting. Clean space with a relaxed cafe vibe -- I'd come back.

Parking is only street parking. Ordered ddukbboki and tuna kimbap. Mango bingsu for dessert. Mango bingsu wasn't that good kind of disappointed. But their ddukbboki was good!

More upscale cafe vibes if you want an elevated bingsoo with more comfortable seating and less crowds/noise. We got the Milk Bingsoo which was the perfect treat that wasn't too sweet or overwhelming, and the Fruit Waffle. The rose syrup is slightly off putting for me but still enjoyed the waffle. They also have an extensive tea menu that's presented very nicely but comes at a price.

    Avocado Chicken Salad

As a California native who has eaten her way through Koreatown in LA, I love this place. The food is fantastic. Everything I ate was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. I had the avocado chicken salad, bulgogi kimbap, spicy tuna kimbap, fish katsu, sake salmon oyakodon, udon, and black sesame bingsu. The area is cozy (even the bathroom is really nice!) If I lived in New Jersey, I'd definitely be a local here. Don't hold back when you order!!

    Berkshire Donkatsu!

Hidden gem. Good vibe. Nice and gentle. Donkatsu is crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Sauce comes with croquette is perfect combo.

Tried the udon, tonkatsu, and karaage, everything was super tasty! Highly recommend the tonkatsu and karaage especially crispy and juicy! Warm udon would be perfect on a rainy day, and in the hot summer, it's a great spot to cool down with some bingsu! Also the chef was really nice! :)

Strawberry Bingsoo with extra strawberry syrup and condensed milk

My boyfriend and I decided to get dessert nearby after dinner one night. This place was open decently late so we decided to get something to snack on and chat. The menu had a lot of options of both drinks, teas, and desserts. We settled on the strawberry bingsoo. When it was served to us, it was very well presented. The bingsoo came with condense milk, strawberries, strawberry syrup, mochi and caramel syrup. I've never had caramel in my strawberry bingsoo but I can definitely say it was one of my favorite things about this dessert! If I am ever in the area I will definitely be coming again :)

Amazing food, great friendly service, and a cozy interior eating area with a nice outdoor area as well.

The Blossom has always been one of my favorite dessert spots, but I heard their Tteokbokki is amazing, so I had to try it this time. I ordered the Tteokbokki and an iced Americano, and everything was absolutely delicious! The space is cozy, relaxed, and perfect for spending quality time with family and friends. The owner was incredibly kind and explained the Tteokbokki while serving it to us, which made the experience even better. The spice level can be adjusted, they offer levels 2 to 3, and the portion was generous with plenty of ingredients, so it was very satisfying. The Bingsu was out of this world, no words needed! Even though it's a cafe, you can enjoy a proper meal here, which makes it a perfect all-in-one spot. I will definitely be coming back!

    Crab cream croquette

Tried a few things here and everything was solid. The crab cream croquette was crispy outside and creamy inside a nice way to start the meal. The rose tteokbokki had a rich, slightly sweet sauce and chewy rice cakes. Not too spicy, which I liked. I ended with the strawberry bingsu, and it was probably my favorite. Soft milk ice, plenty of strawberries, and not overly sweet. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend giving the bingsu a try.

The Blossom has always been a popular post-meal hangout spot for desserts, teas, and coffee. The interior design is trendy and there are many cute items such as teacups and teapots for display at the counter. However, I stopped in for a meal rather than dessert this time and was pleasantly surprised! The donkatsu kimbab is 5/5 - it's an upgraded, fancier version of the childhood classic lunchbox item. It's loaded with a juicy donkatsu and plenty of fresh cabbage along with the typical kimbab items which make for a delicious flavor and enjoyable texture in the mouth. I would stop back in The Blossom to try their other savory food items after this great experience. The desserts are always on point! This time I tried the summer special strawberry bingsoo. It's the most refreshing one I've tried in the area so far. I thought the bingsoo would get boring after a couple bites but there are hidden strawberries and cereals hidden in the snowflakes to keep the flavors diverse. I recommend trying this to anyone stopping in - it's a classic and can't be missed!

The restaurant has an interesting history. Even though the original opened in Cresskill, NJ, it unfortunately has permanently closed. However, not only is the Edgewater location amazing, but it had the guts to open during COVID (2022), survived, and is succeeding. The restaurant is beautiful inside and outside. Their decorations are tasteful, the presentation of the food is award winning, and the service is stellar. I started with a Mocha Cappuccino and it was so good. Served in a large mug, an airy/creamy top, and had the perfect amount of mocha happiness throughout. Before the meal even started, we were graciously given Za'atar (a popular Middle Eastern spice blend with an earthy, tangy, and nutty flavor, toasted sesame seeds, and sumac, with salt). It was crunchy, drizzled with oil, and I enjoyed how each thin pita bite made the spices explode all over the table. The entrees were: Strawberry French Toast. The next was the Falafel Platter (chickpeas and fava bean balls, served with tahini sauce, pickles, turnips, tomato, and mint). The last selection was the Avocado Toast (Citrus cured salmon over multigrain bread, tomatoes, onions, capers & citrus vinaigrette). Not only were all of these dishes beautifully presented, but all were filling, as well. My Avocado Toast kept me full for the rest of the day and the salmon was enjoyably salty, thin, and delicious. I noticed a dessert in their display case and ordered it. The dessert was the Riz Bil Ashta (Lebanese rice cream, infused with orange blossom water, blended with milk and cheese, and topped with crushed pistachios). This dessert tasted like a regal custard and the pistachios added an enjoyable texture that makes it recommended. Of course, I had to cap the meal with a Mocchiato. This amazing beverage followed the rest of the meal..... delicious, eyes closed good, and every sip was full-flavored. Thank you, Madison Café and Grill, for presenting a memorable meal and I wish you continued success.

We're so glad we did, because this hole in the wall turned out to be a diamond in the rough. With a nondescript exterior and limited signage, Foodies Diner is easy to miss. It's in an area with mainly houses and mixed use commercial buildings, but the space inside is cozy. I especially appreciated the way the owner greeted everyone who enters and thanked everyone who leaves with notable warmth and small-town friendliness. The menu reads like a true diner - with all-day breakfast and brunch options, as well as standard lunch fare. We ordered a Santa Fe salad and an L.A. burger - which comes with avocado, bacon, onion, lettuce, and tomatoes. The burger was pretty standard, but having it delivered on a warm brioche bun feels a little bit special. The accompanying fries were also great - crisp and potatoey on the inside. The salad, on the other hand, was a near triumph. Served on a large platter, there was a small field of well-seasoned chicken, shredded cheddar, vegetables, avocado, pico de gallo, and - best yet - some pieces of warm, toasted pita. I even sprinkled some pieces of bacon from my burger into this salad, and wow did that take it over the top. I dug into this salad with fair gusto and would absolutely come back for it...which is saying something, since I wouldn't expect to fall in love with a salad at a diner. Service was fantastic, and we were pleased with how reasonably priced our meal turned out to be. There's plenty of parking - either right out front or in the lot further back.

Anyways, I typically don't believe when people say something is close so whenever I visit her we just order in delivery rather than motivate (ie put on a bra) and go out. But dang it this is literally. Right. Next. Door. As in I can sit on the deck outside of the restaurant and look in her living room. Smh. I say all that to say IVE BEEN MISSING OUT!! Her bday was this weekend so she booked a large table for family and friends. I was relieved to see they had valet. Parking is atrocious in this development so to only pay $10 to be 10 feet from the door was awesome. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff know her well and treated her as a valued guest. Here's the rundown: We went for BRUNCH. They have a prix fixe for $41 of most of the brunch items and it includes 2 Bellini, 2 mimosas, or 2 Bloody Marys. Good right? Welp what you don't know is that their cocktail menu is incredible so to heck with the prix fixe. We got mimosas at home!!
