After 7 PM you can play unlimited for $20. The space is large and can accommodate large groups. There is an arcade area outside of the laser tag area with some games to play for tickets. They also have vending machines with drinks, snacks, and ice cream. read more

The staff here us unmotivated and extremely rude to the customers. My daughters friend lost money trying to rent one if the lockers and told an employee what had happened and was told by one of the female employees "it's not my fault that you don't know how to use it". there don't seem to be any rules here, some kids were running around tossing each other around one of them was thrown into my daughter, she could've been hurt. There's no supervision no rules it's like a free-for-all. Not safe. we asked one of the female employees if she enjoyed working here and her response was "I would've rather have been a stripper but my parents wouldn't let me". Is this really the type of place you want to bring your kids? They really need to consider getting some motivated staff. read more

Came here for my Godson's bday party. Cool spot for kids. They are very strict on time because they time the laser tag sessions for the kids. They have make shift food availability- pizza and cake (carvel) they upcharge you for so the kids can have some vittles after the "exhausting" laser tag session. The bathrooms are severely understocked. Not enough tissue or soap or stalls. Charge for the lockers ( like at the roller skating rink, keep some change around). Hardly anywhere for waiting parents or guardians to sit. Kids gifts are really cheap. Space is tiny for all the games for the kids. Parking however was easy, but the lot has lots of potholes. The kids enjoyed themselves...thats whats most important I guess. read more

I don't know why they're are such bad reviews. I had a good experience for the most part. The prices we're moderate & the dance dance revolution machine was rather cheap so i did it a whole bunch of times. The only thing was that the staff we're slightly rude especially this one female. Also, i was expecting more adults around my age, like in the early 20's, to be there, but it was mostly kids & teens, which isn't they're fault obviously lol. read more

I went here for a recent birthday party. The kids had fun but it was not fun standing in the waiting area for an hour. There is absolutely no where to sit!! They could at least have benches or install stools somewhere. Some parents were resting on the sign in station for some relief. read more

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE.. I would give zero stars if I could! My 6 year old son was mesmerized by the commercials for this place and he had been asking his father and I for MONTHS to take him here for his 7th birthday to play laser tag. We live in NJ and we promised him that if he was good he would be rewarded by bringing him here for his 7th birthday and boy was he excited. -I checked the site a week ahead of time to make sure this place would be open and I noticed they didn't have the schedule available so I called and I was told that the schedules are made weekly therefore I should check the website next week Tuesday to make sure they were having laser for that Thursday which was my sons birthday. Tuesday arrives and I check the website and I see open play for laser tag listed then it states to click the link for times .. I clicked it but nothing happened so I check the hours online through Google and it states they would be open until 10pm so We pick my son up from school on his special day and we hit traffic but he was still excited asking over and over again "are we there yet" .. Mind you its my husband and I , my 10 month old baby , my 17 year old and my 7 year old but despite the overwhelmingly long traffic filled ride we were focused on going to Qzar. -We get to the location and the front doors were unlocked but the second set were locked so at this point my son is looking sad and I'm confused so I pressed the buzzer .. Someone comes on and immediately said " we're closed!" -So I try to explain through the intercom that online it states there is open play for laser tag and the person on the other end just kept saying "we're closed!" I then called the phone number while I was in front of the store and a women from the intercom who seemed frustrated that I was even trying to come there answers .. She tells me "there's no laser tag and kids started school that day so they aren't even expecting any kids to play laser tag"(mind you at this point it's 6pm in the evening ). I explained that I called a week before and was told to check he website and I explained I did check the website and it says open play and online it also says the business is open until 10 AND WE CAME ALL THE WAY FROM JERSEY AND ITS MY 7year old SONS BIRTHDAY.. -This woman didn't give a dam what I said and she said "next time click the link from a desktop computer because Open Play will take me to something that says CLOSED" ( but I'm thinking if that's the case it shouldn't say open play for that day at all .. There should be an X through the box like the other days open play isn't offered).. And then she said the reason why the general store information through Google says they are open is because only the store section is open.. Mind you NOTHING WAS OPEN.. -This woman was so cold and uncaring .. It was so unprofessional and poorly executed considering this is a place that is supposed to cater to children. The same woman from the intercom is the one who answered the phone and she just didn't care.. No compassion at all! At this point my poor child is in tears so I asked the woman for her name .. She responded with Meagan.. So I asked "MEAGAN" if she can suggest another place to take my son in the area since they are closed and we are unfamiliar with the area and she responded with "No, we have no affiliates in this area!" It was TERRIBLE .. But THANK GOD FOR A NEARBY DAVE AND BUSTERS THAT WE FOUND ONLINE .. It was such a professional yet fun experience for my son .. We all enjoyed ourselves and my son ended up having a great birthday after the cruel experience with Qzar .. By the time we were headed home MY SON SAID HE WILL NEVER ASK TO GO TO QZAR AGAIN!.. Don't be fooled by that commercial that plays several times per day .. This place doesn't give a dam about your kids or even quality customer service .. NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

Q-zar is a great place to have a birthday laser tag party or to come on a Friday or Saturday night with some friends to play unlimited laser tag for $20 for up to 4 hours. They have a great manager named Jackie who was really helpful and friendly, super service with a smile. The laser tag action in this large arena is awesome. I threw a surprise birthday party for my boyfriend here on May 13th. I thought it would be fun to throw a childhood themed birthday party with a group of our friends. It was a last minute decision since the original plan couldn't happen due to a rainy day. I really should have invested in something more EAST Long Island. Like all the other reviews say: 1.) Out of Date: laser tag area is pretty small and out dated. The laser gear itself is very old school that looks like it came out of the budget of an elementary school fair. 2.) Rude staff: the girl hosting the party nearly blew the surprise because she wasn't informed it was a surprise birthday party. She was so miserable the entire time and at one point yelled at us as if we were children. I almost didn't tip her, because she really didn't deserve a thing. 3.) Expensive and not worth your buck: all in all I should have done more research and maybe visited the place before booking. I was in a rush and assumed it would be good due to location. I overpaid for a short birthday party. And the food given out was scarce AT BEST. I really wouldn't come here it's as bad as everyone is saying. read more

Terrible! That was my experience. Attended my nephews party this weekend.. to make a long story short the following was my observation and dislikes 1. No sitting area offered to parents 2. Catered over priced food 3. Rigid party hour 4. Party area set up late by hostess 5. Party was to end at 3:30 & by 3:36 they were LITERALLY kicking our party out, pulling up the table cloth while we were still sitting and eating. Also someone threw out my cake in an effort to clear the area faster. 6. The place is very small. Not a lot of room to move or walk around. Absolutely terrible experience. As as a mother of 4 boys, I would never go back and never recommend it and definitely never have a party here. read more

This place needs a face lift. We just had my son's bday party here, and the moment I walked in there, I wanted to walk out. The place looked dingy and dirty, and none of the workers were wanting to help. They were not friendly, except for the person who was in charge of the party, but she was so soft spoken that she could barely keep control of the party. Everything was chaotic because she couldn't speak loud enough for any of the kids to hear what is going on. For the price i paid, I could have gone to a much nicer, cleaner and friendlier laser tag party place. Don't waste your money here. read more

I had my son's 7th birthday party here last night. I spent a month planning and hired characters to play laser tag with the kids. I put a lot of time, money and effort into planning his party. Unfortunately even with best efforts, the service and the party itself at Qzar was AWFUL! I had a total of 23 kids and just about all of my guests arrived on time. There was several other parties still going on before us, and all of my guests had to wait in the arcade for 30 minutes until the laser area was ready for us. Our "host" was busy helping kids from other parties in the arcade pick out prizes with the tickets they earned. Since the free tokens as part of the package aren't handed out until after the party, my husband ended up getting $40 worth of coins and handing them out to the kids to keep them busy while they waited. They finally went into the laser tag room and the parents stood around in a crowded noisy arcade with no seating. Some parents left because there was no where to sit. I asked my host if we could sit in the party room while we waited and she said no, they were still cleaning up from the previous party. One of the dads is paralyzed on one side and on crutches and was standing the whole time until my husband just went ahead and told him that they could sit while they cleaned the room. I can say that the laser game itself went well and the kids had a good time, but that was mostly because I had hired star wars characters to play with them. The host spent the entire time in the laser room yelling at the kids and telling them not to run. Once the laser tag was over, I had to direct all of my guests to the party room as my host was no where to be found. I also had to remind one of the staff members to put the balloons that I had paid $50 for in the room as they were STILL sitting in the arcade. When I finally got everyone into the party room, some of the tables and the chairs had not been wiped down and I had to wipe them down myself, because again, my host was missing in action. I had ordered $150 of adult food, which ended up being a very small platter of wraps that were cut up in tiny pieces, a really awful salad, and a fruit platter -- all of which were just deposited unopened on one of the seating tables in the delivery box, with no serving forks, or anything for people to serve themselves. As I was setting out the adult food (yes, I had to do that myself too), one of the kids came to me and asked for a second slice of pizza. I finally found my host and asked her to get the kids some more pizza and they said they "ran out" and there was nothing they could do. So I offered the kids some of the fruit salad that I had for the adults. The party package includes "unlimited sodas, water and juice" however ALL of the kids were served soda even though some of the parents wanted juice. I had to ask multiple times for the host to put out pitchers of drinks for the adults. Because the servers was SO bad, I spent most of the time in the party room helping my guests, cleaning and serving, which is what I PAID qzar to do. By this time the party was already 45 minutes over the end time and they still hadn't brought out the cake! I asked my host when I finally found her again, where is the cake and she said, "oh, you want me to bring that out now". I said, "yes, guests are already leaving!!" I had 4 guests leave before the cake came out and they didn't even give them their goody bag with the free coins. Finally the cake came out, and I had to hand out the goody bags since my host was missing again. My party was supposed to be from 6:00 - 7:30 pm (with a little extra time after for playing games). We did not finish up with the cake until around 8:30 pm, which was ridiculous, because this was a party of 6 and 7 year olds! While I was saying my goodbyes to the guests, my host (who was previously missing all evening) interrupts me mid conversation to ask me to "take care of the bill". I told her I'd take care of it when my guest had left. When I went to check out, the manager (Megan) asked me how the party went, and I told her everything I mentioned above. She apologized and told me that thats not the first time she heard this about this particular host and if she was the host at my party, everything would have went smoothly. "REALLY?" So, you are aware that this host is awful at her job and she is assigned to my party, which was one of the larger parties that day? She had no answers as to why they ran out of pizza other than "we only order a set amount" or why they had not serving forks or spoons for the adult food ("someone must have taken them") What an ABSOLUTE DISASTER of a party. I have had many parties over the years for my kids and I'm certainly not afraid to spend a little more for better service, but this by far was the worst experience I have ever had with one of my kids parties. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND QZAR. Save yourself the money and headache! read more

Rude, unaccommodating, no customer service. Unless you like stress, arguing at every turn for something you are paying for, or being told "no" to every request/question, this is not your place for a kids birthday party. However, if you want to practice how tough you are with people, the staff will be a much more exciting challenge than the laser tag. Your choice!! :-) By the way it took me an 1.5 hours and several lose and rewrites to write this review using the Yelp system. Seems they have some Customer Services issues to work on as well... I don't go out much to places, but QZar is an exception. The environment is so welcoming, all of the workers are so kind and always are available to assist me. I come here a lot with my younger siblings for a weekend and it never ends in disappointment. I've also had a few birthday parties here which are always a ton of fun. You don't even have to go in to enjoy it as the arcade is affordable, the games actually work, and entertaining not like chucky cheese where everything is over priced, malfunctioning half the time and the kids end up getting into fights. read more

I was here for a birthday party and it was an all around great experience. We were all called into an instruction room where we watched a video that got everyone so excited to play laser tag. The special effects in the arena were so cool especially the fog machine and lasers. Our host/ref was awesome, his enthusiasm was contagious and he definitely added to our laser tag experience. i was here when me and my friends were trying to figure out something to do. One friend had suggested togo to qzar. I had never been laser tagging before, but i had such a great time and loved every second of it!! Before we began the actual laser tag we were shown an instructional video that was unbelievably cool!! All the workers were great even when dealing with a crowd of 40 teens and young adults!! i had so much fun, especially for the moderate price!! i will defiantly be returning soon!! read more

We were there for my daughter's birthday party. Kids had a great time as it was something different from the norm, but from a parents perspective they need to up their game for birthday parties. It was more like a party mill. Staff was friendly, however we were not given a place for coats nor could we get into the party room for over an hour after arrival. They only provide garbage bags for coats and for the gifts leaving both our responsibility. The parents space was a couple of chairs in a closet area. Then they rushed us out out quickly. Great concept, but need to be much more party friendly and hands on for us to ever consider another in this space. read more

This whole place was horrible.Lets begin with the laser tagging itself . All the equipment is broken whenever I shot no red dot came out to show I was shooting I reported this they told me it does not surf to be there for it to work I said okay and tried it again and after the next game a got a terrible score not to mention tue vest did not work whenever you shot sometimes it would be inaccurate or would Hit the vest and not count as shot and kill.me and all my friends that thought it was terrible and we quit after the second game. However since it was my friends b-day we stayed and went to the arcade that had mostly broken games and all the gifts you would get from tickets were so bad and mostly overpriced and bad quality stuff. Don't go here it is a waste of time in your life me and my friends especially the persons who's birthday it was were very depressed that it was so bad. read more

I came here many times before and it's a great place to have birthday parties and great place to bring a group of friends just to play some laser tag!!! the best part of this place is on Friday and Saturday nights they have blowout and it's only $20 for unlimited laser tag all night long. I highly recommend this place for all families who have children to have a birthday party and for teens and adults to go play some laser tag with a group of their friends. Came here on Friday for a bday party. Having attended here, it's Not good for Birthday parties. It's a party-mill. Establishment rushes to fit in all their parties that they book back-to-back. The "party room" is only semi-private; they have 2 parties running at the same time in the room. Staff is rude and not helpful. Everything is expensive, very cramped & crowded. Prizes are so cheap that even Oriental Trading company wouldn't sell it. Gets 1 star b/c the kiddies do enjoy the laser tag but for the price of the party, better off going East to LASER KINGDOM b/c you get better service and staff is nicer that Laser Kingdom. Personally, I won't return to Q-Zar for any reason at all... why? read more

Attended a party with my daughter on 9/22. Great place and so clean! I'm all about the hand sanitizer! food was great but the best part was the lazer tag! So cool and by far the best one on the island (ive been to many) We will be coming here for our kids parties for sure. read more

This place was great! brought my kids and played 2 rounds of laser tag while my wife played the arcade games. The manager there was great very friendly and accommodating. We came on a Monday so it was not crowded at all. If your looking for a big area for laser tag this is the place to go. I went to this place with my kids, in-laws and their kids (ages 6-11) We only went for the arcade, so i can't speak to the laser tag, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's in a pretty dumpy strip mall and the games are basic, but that is fine for their ages. As a plus for the grown-ups -- IT IS NOT DEAFENINGLY LOUD. Also, there are only a few kill the zombies/intruders/Terminators games. At Dave and Buster's they are everywhere and everything is so loud I am ready to leave in 5 min. 50 cents a game and they use quarters, also a nice throwback quality. If you are done you can leave without 4.67 left on your playcard or whatever. Really terrible prizes for the tickets, but the kids don't care. Keep expectations reasonable and enjoy. read more

Took my nephew and 6 of his rowdy 8-year old buddies on saturday afternoon for his birthday. Staff was great. We came in running from the rain. Jen was able to squeeze us in last minute and helped us organize a pizza from next door spot. They took over from there, I could finally take a break. Place looks awesome, I wish i was 20 years younger. Kids had a blast. Definitely going back next time i have to find something cool to do last minute with 7 out of control juveniles. Recently attended my nephew's 8th birthday party here and it was SO MUCH FUN!! I remember going to q-zar when I was 14 (32 now) and it being a total fun hotspot, especially on Saturday nights. It's so nice to know that it's still being managed well. The party went off without a hitch. My kids and the birthday boy were all thrilled. Service was excellent. Went with my friends to play some laser tag and had a blast! The staff was wonderful and gave us all the attention we needed! The arena had cool lights and had music playing. The laser tag game was scored fairly it was a close match between the teams. The staff helped us in the arena and showed us exactly what to do.The arcade had some cool games too and there were lots of prizes to chose from at the prize counter. The lobby was crowded with other kids and families which made their experience more fun since they had a lot of people to play with.
