I attended this location for the first time for a birthday party. The laser tag was fun! While the facility is a little small, the kids really seemed to enjoy the party. The party room was definitely on the smaller side; I'm not typically claustrophobic, but I did feel a bit cramped inside. On the plus side, they had a lot of arcade games to play, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely return to this location. We got a Groupon for I think it was 50 min of axe throwing and $20 of arcade games for maybe $70 I think it was. I appreciated how they had a guy who explained to us how to axe throw (we had never been before) and who gave us some pointers. They also have booze and bar food for purchase. The 50 min is also just how long you get to axe throw, you can pause it and eat or do other things. Started our day with 500 points to play all the different arcade game. Surprised there were a mix of new and classic games. The space was pretty clean with staff always sweeping and mopping down areas. Games range from 4-20 points per game. Some games allow you to accumulate points to redeem prizes. We also booked a three game laser tag. It was really fun and as intense as you want it to be. You have the choice of free for all or team play. Free for all I felt was a little less intensive. Team play you have to go back your base and reload and protect your base from getting attacked. Definitely free for all was more fun. I have not been back to Q-Zar for a few years! Still a great space for laser tag parties with an arcade vibe. Newest attraction is Axe throwing. So fun and different, I was very nervous since it was my first time. Randy was supervising our group and he was instructing us on how to properly hold the axe, our stance and how to give more power to our throws. It was so entertaining once I got over my nervousness. They even provided two styles of axes to choose from. The best part was the game board, it's digital! You can choose the game: tic, tac, toe or aiming for a point on the bullseye. There was also a third option, to throw the axe in a labeled circle for points. The laser tag was so fun for the kids party we attended. They all came out excited and with smiles after. Then it was onto pizza and cake. While the kids were dining in the party room, a bunch of the parents were drinking cold beer and snacking on appetizers in between throwing the axe. Our party was early so the space was not super crowded. Good tip, book the 10am slot. It's like having the space to yourselves. After the pizza, it was time for the arcade. The party package includes video game cards for kids to use for the arcade and prizes are awarded by number of tickets you won. Took my nieces and nephews here on a Wednesday night for laser tag. The place was clean and seemed to be newly renovated. The cost for laser tag was $19.95 pp and estimated duration of play time was approximately 40 mins based on the website. I called ahead on the same day coming as we are coming from an hour drive to confirm their public sessions. The guy that answered the phone said public session at the 2nd part of the hour consistently throughout the day. I asked again and made it clear it's a long drive and did not want to wait hours upon getting there bc of birthday party. I was very specific if they have parties booked today. When I get there about 1:30p Saturday, I was told next public session is 4:30p. So we bought the unlimited arcade play to kill an hour but finds out many arcades were excluded. Laser tag was fun. There were many games I never seen before at other arcades that were actually good in my opinion. What I enjoy about this place is it seems to actually focus on people having fun and not machines that are designed to lose 95% of time. Came on a Friday night, no crowd. The kids and adults both had fun. This place brought me back to my childhood; reminds me of Discovery Zone, which is no longer around. This place has everything....even a huge parking lot. Folks, if you are looking for a place with excellent customer service, a clean environment, a full arcade, laser tag, axe throwing, and food; I'd highly recommend you stop by this fabulous location. I was here for my nephew's Birthday party and it was an absolute delight. Sure, the kids liked it but you know who else had fun? The adults! From games to food and everything in between, there was a smile on everyone's face. The kids laughed and played while the adults tried the axe throwing and practiced their air hockey skills. The party room was staffed with Brianna, Sky, and Dan who did an excellent job. In a world where it seems like nobody cares about customer service, these folks certainly do! They were happy, hard working, attentive, and a pleasure to be around. Even the bathroom attendant was nice ( didn't get their name.) I saw another employee offering hand sanitizer and I must say that all of the employees did a top- notch job. They cleaned, served, packed everything up, and kept order in the room. My 8 year old went with a few friends and they had a blast! The staff were very friendly and they were trying to accommodate our schedule as much as they could when they played laser tag! The arena is big enough for the boys and they had so much fun playing hide and seek during their laser tag game. I was quite amazed that in 2019, places like Q-ZAR could still exist, but thankful they still do. The main attractions here are Lazer Tag, kiddie birthday parties, and coin operated games. The games are mostly similar to what you would find at a Chuck E Cheese. You would win tickets and then redeem them at prize counter. Most of the machines are run with quarters, a real throwback! Some of the games are just for pure amusement, like driving games and arcade games. As for the interior of Q-ZAR, I found it to be dark and a bit dated. But when I think about it, playing these types of games as a kid was never done in bright and lively surroundings. Therefore, Q-ZAR, to me, is true to a classic arcade's origins. Finally, I found that the people working here were very helpful and very patient with us when we got around to choosing prizes. Terrible place. Took a group trip here, staff was unorganized, half the equipment didn't work, and food was awful. We've taken many trips to similar places and this place is by far the worst. Staff wasn't on the same page and not friendly. Inside the laser tag arena vest and guns weren't working ruining games. The package included 2 slices of pizza for everyone so they cut it smaller to give everyone less food. Very cheap and sneaky way of shorting people on food. Fun little place for kids to laser tag. They will be scolded (over and over) not to run or that the session will end. I understand why they do this but it's hard to get a group of 20 ten year old boys to slow down in such an environment. Arcade games up front but that can be pretty crowded when multiple larger partied congregate at once and wait for their turn to enter the laser tag area. The staff was very helpful and friendly along with always making sure we as the customer were happy. They set up the party rooms with all my things and decorated as I would have. The kids went into play laser tag and a few of the adults did as well. Some parents chose not to play and watched them on the monitors outside the door. My son went to a birthday party here. Extremely overcrowded. The check in process is a mess. They have two working iPads and the others are broken. But then parties have the wrong time listed and the staff couldn't be bothered with you. I didn't go into the Lazer tag but my son said his gun kept breaking and the staff shrugged at him. Very overcrowded in the arcade area with many games broken or not giving tickets. And ten tickets will buy you one mini Tootsie roll and 50 tickets gets you a bouncy ball you can get for a quarter. Food area for parties is fine. Very tight seating. The hostess was ok also. Honestly I laughed when I saw maximum occupancy not to exceed 80 people. I had my son's 8th birthday at Qzar today and it was the most horrible and disorganized experience for $$$. I could have gone to Dave & Busters, but my son wanted laser tag so we went. Three- four of the lasers was not working the entire game. The host couldn't do anything about it. The game was over and the host was nowhere to be found so the kids didn't see their scores or get to take a group picture. I ordered veggie platter for the adults, which we did not get. The food was put out in the corner of a very small table. The tables and floors were dirty. There was no spoon for salad dressing. On the workstation was left over cake from another party. When it was time to cut cake, they came out with a pink cake!! When I questioned about this, "some boys want pink cakes" was the response. The kids wanted refills and more pizza, but host was again missing. I was told one slice and a 1/2 pizza for each child. I only saw one pizza pie. The space was so small for 20 kids! It was dirty. When it was time for the kid to get their coins to play. I had to pressure them to get it ready. The bathroom was HORRIBLE! The changing table was very nasty! I would not recommend this place to anyone. Spend your money somewhere else. read more

I visited with a group and we had a great time! Upon arrival you will see arcade games around, and directed to fill out a survey/agreement on a set of iPads located in front of the front desk. After payment you're led into a room for video overview. You leave from there to the next room where you're split into two teams and gear up with your team colors. The staff was friendly. I came here with my friends when I was visiting New York and we wanted something fun to do. Upon looking around at different things to do, we settled on coming to Q-ZAR to play some fun laser tag. I love laser tagging back home, and couldn't wait to see wha their layout was inside their playing field. After watching a quick safety video on how to play and then going over the safety info and looking at a game board with our game ref gal, we started to suit up and went into our respected spots to get our shots from our home base. As we first started the game, I realized that I didn't see any red lights aka lasers coming out of my gun. So what do I do? I stand two feet away from a wall and start to shoot the wall. I literally didn't see anything come out and so I went to our game ref and this is what she told me when I didn't see a laser... "You may not see a laser but if you just shoot towards the target, it will work." I said ok... and what was my final score once we were done with the game.... ZERO!!!! It's an ok spot for a kids party. The arcade takes actual quarters and some games cost a dollar. When you are with an 8 year old, that can get expensive quick. You can get a better deal at Chuck E. Came here on a Friday night with a group of ~10 20-somethings to take advantage of $20 unlimited laser tag -- because what 28-year-old doesn't want to celebrate a birthday with a bunch of high school kids? We got there around 9:30 and the place was a madhouse. Lots of families and groups of high school kids. I fully expected there to be lots of youths, just didn't realize there would be so many that you literally could not move around the place. We signed up for unlimited laser tag, which took longer than necessary because each person has to fill out a form on one of their 3 tablet computers, including a liability waiver (seriously?) and mandatory provision of all contact information. Granted, I haven't received any e-mails from them in the 2 weeks since. The laser-tagging was fun. The maze isn't the best on LI, but it's no slouch. And we certainly kicked the butts of all the clueless teenagers. Worked up quite a sweat and thirst, but there was no water fountain in the place. Fortunately, you could get water from the soda fountain in the back (all other beverage options were locked). But we were there for 2 hours and only got 2 runs in because it was so crowded and they can only accommodate 40-50 people at a time. It's not cost effective to buy the unlimited play unless you're going to stay long enough to do 3 runs, figure an hour each. We didn't really play any games in the arcade, but it's priced the same as any arcade anywhere else would be ($1.00 or so per game) with your typical game selection. Not that it mattered to us but ticket prizes were vastly over-ticketed (e.g., 75 tickets for vampire teeth, which at most other arcades require 10-20 tickets). Lockers were fairly priced and can easily fit the belongings of 2 people. Staff was apathetic at best, but I assume they're working all day and have headaches from the loud kids, so I don't entirely blame them. A little more enthusiasm or politeness wouldn't hurt tho. read more

Went for a birthday party it was OK the staff was uneventful except for one individual. Everyone else just says that glazed over look in there either I'm getting used to seeing in 20-year-olds LOL. You could've totally get away without signing a waiver... No one checks. My biggest issue is you host children's parties why in the world do you not have vests suitable or sized for children to wear?! My daughter actually has broken blood vessel's right above her knee caps from that damn vest hitting her when she was running. All in all it was fun she had fun mostly upset the those vests are uncomfortable for the kids and hard for them to play in. read more

I haven't been to Q-zar since I was a kid so I was excited to come as an adult. Nothings really changed. The whole layout with games, & ever the laser tag course are the same. The video games are exspensive, $1 a game. Not too bad if you're just waiting around to start your next laser tagging game, but don't come here to dish out money on video games. You watch a five minute video before going into the laser tagging area. The rounds last 15 minutes. Fridays & saturdays 8pm-12am for $20 you can do unlimited rounds, otherwise it's $7 a round. After one round my party was tired but we wanted to get our monies worth of the unlimited so we did two more after that. Coming on a weekend night is smarter for adults who don't want to play against little kids. You'll most likely verse other adults/college kids. a read more

This place is great for kids. The course it just large enough to have a great time but not so huge you feel overwhelmed or lost. We went on a Saturday night and got the $20 per person unlimited wristband. Which was a great deal because it's $11 per game per person and the games only last 15 minutes. And of course your adrenaline is pumping after the first game so you just have to go again. My only complaint was using the Energizer to recharge the gun but that was probably my own negligence. Overall a great place to go. They have an indoor arcade as well which only takes quarters so bring cash they do have a change machine at least. read more

My daughter had a "Teen" Party (14th birthday) here recently and the kids had lots of fun. Our party host was excellent however the establishment itself seems dirty and a little rundown. Not to mention the questionable clientele. For the beginning of the party we were lucky enough to be able to play the games privately but towards the end of the party when they got crazy crowded the 13 & 14 year olds were forced to play with grown adults who were roughhousing, yelling and cursing. Unfortunately some of them even yelled and cursed at the children in my party. The equipment was fine for the most part, a couple of dead guns here and there throughout that needed to be swapped out but the kids had a good time for the most part. read more
