I've usually gotten a drink everytime I've come here but it seems they wouldn't judge you if you were to do work without ordering anything. Ambiance is great as well during the night. The warm lighting makes it not only a nice place to do work but also just to chat with friends over a nice warm tea! I see why this place is beloved by the community of all ages! Stopped by to check out Quahaw House Coffee and finally try their Pistachio Iced Latte. It was smooth, well-balanced, and not overly sweet, definitely worth ordering. The service was warm and efficient, and the café itself has a stylish, inviting atmosphere that makes it a great spot to relax or catch up with a friend. The only thing keeping this from being a perfect experience is the pricing. The quality is there, but I'd love to see the drinks and food come in just a bit lower. What a waste of time and money. I thought I'd treat myself to a latte on a rainy day. Little did I know I'd be wasting my money on some lukewarm and mediocre coffee. The store gets great lighting, with views of the mall across the street. They have convenience outlets by the window seats. Great for charging your laptops. Very cute cafe serving Yemeni coffee with friendly and welcoming service. We ordered Sana'ani and Mafawar which were both medium roast and an iced Yemeni latte. Their coffee was not as strong as what I'm used to and somehow tasted like chai (I guess because of the spices). They are not coffee was super hot and they put a sign up to warn us. But it was so hot that I could barely hold it in my hand. Maybe they could use a thicker cup sleeve? By the way if you dine in and order drinks, the drinks would actually come in a pot with a few glasses on the metal tray. So cute. Service was good. The staff was busy but was patient with the order. I have been wanting to try Yemeni coffee since reading Monk of Mokha, so I'm glad to have finally made it! I told the person working the register that I wanted to try something traditional, so he suggested the Mofawar. It takes between 5-10 min to make, so settle in! He also requested a treat, so he suggested the Khaliat Alnahl. Very tasty! The place was full of people studying, socializing, or otherwise have a relaxing experience. The coffee was good, but I would recommend having at least 30 minutes to sit and enjoy a pot. Also, I asked for sugar on the side, which I would not recommend. I should have had it prepared with the sugar. Anyway, can't wait to try this shop or another! And lots of other tasty looking treats. read more

This is the same coffee house as the one that I patronized recently in Greenwich Village, and I am just as impressed with my experience here in Westbury. I ordered the same drink, just to test consistency: a custom signature Iced Yemeni Coffee--add two tablespoons of Pistachio Powder, and it was, like the one in the Village, the best coffee drink that I have ever had in NY. It was lightly sweet and robust. The service made my drink unforgettable because they gave me individualized attention, even though the place was packed on a Friday evening. There are plenty of outlets to charge your cell phone. The tables and floors are relatively clean inside despite the huge traffic, and there is a free parking lot behind the building. read more

I just LOVE this coffee shop I've seen Qahwah House in Anaheim, California before but never got the chance to try it, and I'm always driving past this location so I finally had to stop in!Right away, the employees were so kind and welcoming. I loved the energy in here from the moment you walk in you smell the aroma you see the Yemeni culture I love it ! I asked for recommendations on their best iced and hot drinks and went with one of their suggestions the pistachio latte and THAT is how you do a pistachio latte ‍ it was so good!They also have so many desserts that I definitely need to come back and try. I ended up getting the truffle chocolate cake and it did not disappoint The space is very spacious with plenty of seating, plus free parking in the back which is always a win! Decided to stop by Qahwah House after searching for a calm place on Long Island to sit on my laptop and study. It's exactly what I wanted. Ample amount of space and seating, wall outlets pretty much everywhere and it's not too loud. You can find other people working on their laptops, reading and just hanging out with their friends here. They have many pastry options to choose from and two breakfast wraps. I ordered a Brown Sugar Latte and a Spinach Feta wrap. I was a bit hungry so I didn't realize how long it would take for the premade wrap to heat up. I waited about 10 minutes after ordering and when my wrap was ready it was good, simple just a tad bit cool towards the middle of the first half. I did come in at 2pm so I assume the breakfast rush was over and they had it refridgerated for the next day. I didn't mind because the staff was kind and attentive to my needs. I was really pleased with my latte. It's rich, creamy and flavorful. They dust cinnamon on the top which adds a nice touch to it. Overall I will be coming here again. I look forward to visiting with my friends and trying out a pot of tea with them. I enjoyed the space and can recommend it to anyone who just needs a workspace to hang out, study and work while enjoying a great cup of tea or Arabic coffee. read more

A Yemeni coffee house in Long Island? Who would have expected that? I've been to the Qahwah House in Brooklyn, and never thought they would open one close to me. This location is pretty big with a lot of seating space. The decor is beautiful, and the vibe felt like I was back at a coffee house in the Middle East. I came here at night during Ramadan, so the restaurant was very lively. We ordered a small pot of the Adeni Chai. It was more than enough for two people. It's a black tea made with nutmeg and cardamom, and it tasted so delicious. We also shared a Sabaya, which is a hard pastry with many layers and sprinkled with black cumin seeds on top. And we ordered another dessert called Kunafa to go. I thought the Kunafa tasted really good (and better than the Sabaya). This is a great spot that opened on Long Island, and I'm sure I'll be back often. If you're interested in trying different Middle Eastern coffee or tea, I highly recommend giving Qahway House a try. read more

First time here, food is overpriced not worth what they're charging, it was $18 for a matcha and a small pastry (see photo), both of which were mediocre at best. The pistachio and hazelnut dream cakes tasted almost identical. Service 1/10, personal at the counter was fine, normal customer service, however we some of us ordered to go then decided to sit down. Apparently this is not allowed because a worker came up and was very rude and said, I see a lot of to go things why are you guys sitting down at a table? To which I responded we changed our mind and wanted to sit, worker gets very rude and goes off about how the coffee is $10 to dine in and $6 when taken to go, and how if we go to a fancy restaurant we can't say we're getting food to go then sit down to eat. It was crowded, but not enough for people to not have a seat there were many open seats available. This was our first and only interaction with a worker there besides when ordering, so it was definitely welcoming lol. Like the other Qahwah locations, it boasts a diverse menu with yemeni styled coffee, tea and pastries. I ended up getting an iced pistachio latte and it was prepared promptly. It was nutty and sweet, but not my favorite pistachio latte of all time. It was definitely very busy when we came but I didn't have any trouble finding a seat. The place has pretty good lighting and I didn't have any complaints about the interior. Decor is pretty nice but it's not really a posh place, which is perfect for me. I'm not too knowledgeable about Yemeni coffee or drinks in general. I just got a regular 12os coffee ($4 + tax). I thought this was pretty expensive for a fairly small amount. The coffee was good but it didn't really blow me away. So overall, I'd give 3 stars because it seems like a nice place to hang out, however I think their drinks are pretty expensive. He suggests the caramel as he stated that it was popular. 1 appreciate the suggestions because I'm a new customer and I haven't explored the many varieties they offer. I'm sure that I will get the chance to taste all the drinks by ordering a different one each time but there's something about that pistachio latte. I also had a coconut pastry. It was cold and I had to enquire. I was told that it is best served cold. So I did indulge and normally I don't eat coconut pastry's or cakes but this was pretty good and not too, too ( as they say) sweet. I normally swing but in the morning but I was in the area late and this place standing room only which didn't bother me because I was in and out. This was my first time at Qahwah House Coffee. I got the hot Caramel Macchiato it was very good. It only comes in 1 size which I finally is often the case with independent coffee shops. The espresso was flavorful and it wasn't overly sweet which was a good thing since I like to actually taste coffee when I order it. They have a good size menu of drinks and they also have a large selection of cakes & pastries in the bakery case which all looked really good. I will definitely go back there to try other coffee drinks and their Macha. The shop is large and they have a lot of tables for sitting if you're looking to get out of the house or eat there. Great place to sit and socialize over some coffee or chai. Their tea pots are amazing we've tried a few of them now. Every time it's packed with a perfect balance of masala and creaminess. My favorites are the adeni chai and latte. Everyone seems to order the Khaliat Alnahl which is labeled as a dessert but to me it was more of a savory item- it's a bread filled with butter and cheese in its pockets with a drizzle of honey. This is a beautiful space to gather and meet. I love that it's so large and feels like the flagship store in Westbury. I strongly support Yemeni coffee houses and chains especially in leu of other alternatives. I have been to a few different Qawah houses a few times and it's either not strong enough or too sugary. A little on the sweet side but it's delicious, definitely something that's essential during the summer time. I also tried their pistachio iced latte which was so devine!
