I wish I could post the screen shot here of the message I got to my cell phone. These guys came out and found the problem, replaced the siding in a very professional manner, and corrected the downspout issue so that it feeds directly into the gutter. When they noticed that there was a greater degree of damage than initially identified, they were honest about it and gave me a new reasonable quote. They went above and beyond. While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. To be forewarned is to be forearmed !!!…read more If you live in the Bolingbrook/Lockport/Plainfield/Romeoville (Lakewood Falls) Area, please read this. I will keep it simple. I understand businesses are meant to make money; however, when maximizing profits on the backdrop of dishonesty becomes your business model, coupled with poor customer service and disastrous communication, then you're moving in the wrong direction. I inquired with this company sometime on June 9, 2025, about a "roof estimate." I sent them the pertinent information, and they went silent. I had to reach out again twice (my mistake) before they came and assessed my roof. Long story short, I never received an estimate. Rather, I received a contract to be represented by their public adjuster (their sister company), who told my insurance company they could not change the roof without damaging my gutter. The insurance company approved roof and gutter replacement. I did not learn about the gutter replacement until I reached out to my insurance company by the end of August, and they related to me that they had approved replacement of the roof and gutter in July. This company did not provide any documents about this until I requested the claim information and observed $13,683.59 for roof and gutter replacement, with $5,494 going to gutters alone in a townhouse . Their roof installers arrived on October 3, 2025, to replace the old roof, and not once did they damage the gutters. I liked the roof intallers and that's the reason they are getting a 2 star rating. I literally had to reach out to them twice before they replaced the gutters, more than two weeks after replacing the roof (remember, they could not change the roof without damaging the gutters ). Not only did the installers arrive past 6 p.m. on a fall night to replace gutters, I woke up the next morning to clean up after them (pictures attached). They broke my water hose and damaged the lid of one of my storage sheds. When I complained about the mess, all I recieved was a "sorry". To make all of this worse, my insurance rate went up $700+. I did not receive the roof manufacturer's warranty paperwork as promised by this company, and I am yet to receive the receipt of the last (final) payment made to them (11/24/25) despite receiving two invoices within a week and confirming with my bank this morning (12/11/2025) that the cashier's check has been deposited into an account. I pray the work they did last long so I don't have to cross path with them again. If this company says otherwise, I have receipts and an additional 5 pages to add to this review.
