I actually used to like this place as an alternative to Chipotle for fake mexican food. After my most recent experience, I am never going back to Qdoba in Gig Harbor. I ordered here last night and when I ordered the burrito bowl I noticed something like hair. At first I thought maybe it was something else but with each spoonful more hairs started propping up. To the point that it was physically causing resistance to the prongs of the fork (see photo). To whoever made my bowl last night (7/27/26) either wear a hair knit or get your scalp looked at because you are shedding like crazy. read more

Despite the fact that we were watching 6 employees through the window, with no customers in line, our food was not even close to ready when we arrived. When my husband called to check in, the employee told me they had not started it yet but it would be right out. Here we are, 3 groups have walked into the store, gotten their food and left already... Once again, as those of you who read my reviews must know by now, I'm always on the lookout for great smoked beef brisket--and rarely finding it. So far, my favorites have been a Texas-style BBQ place in Silverdale, and this Qdoba location. With my daughter's kind offer of sharing a daddy/daughter lunch with her last weekend, I chose to make a return visit to see if the smoked brisket was still as good as I remembered. It was. The meat remains most and tender, and the smoky flavor is very, very good, not too light nor too overpowering. The corporate description says it was smoked for four hours, which is almost nothing in Smoking Hours (11-18 hours is more typical depending on the weight of the brisket) but however the corporate kitchen accomplishes the feat, it's real deal brisket. However, I made the mistake of slathering on the Ancho Chile BBQ Sauce. I've liked it before but this time it was too sweet and just covered up the taste of the meat. I'm going back for another bowl with EXTRA smoked brisket and no sauce at all. My daughter had the grilled steak tacos and enjoyed them. The staff behind the counter were friendly and patient. Overall the place was clean, but there was a napkin on the floor under the table where we sat. The place wasn't busy when we arrived so there was time and enough staff to send someone sweeping and tidying up around the front of house. According to other reviews, cleanliness and lack of professionalism has been an issue with this store. My wife commented on the messiness when we ate there in October 2017. These are signs of poor management. I'll take a closer look at the operation when I go back for more smoked brisket to determine if problems still exist. read more

But the main reason I walked out was what I saw on the floor behind the counter (please see the pictures I posted). I was reluctant to give one of my my favorite restaurants this review. Thus why it took so long to write it. My hubby & I were in Qdoba on March 31, 2018 @ 4:34pm. I must say the place was a mess. We were forgiving since it looked like they were a bit short handed. Only maybe 3-4 people working total. I gave them 2 stars because the food itself was still awesome, but ratings from me are not just based on food alone. At the counter we ordered our food; I ordered Naked Steak Nachos & hubby ordered Naked Chicken Nachos (nachos with all the gooey stuff in the pan & the chips on the side). In the pan is the yummy queso, steak, black beans, brown rice (are ya drooling yet?) topped off with more grated cheese! Mmm mmm good... hubby added mixed veggies & guac to his. Go big or go home if you're gonna eat out I always say! Lol Anyway, the issues began when @ the register. We walk with canes, the both of us. There was a lot of food with drinks & such. Now maybe I'm spoiled but @ that Qdoba, especially, there is usually an offer of help to our table. Not this time even though it was obvious we were struggling to get the food to our table. Every time I looked up the young man would look up & walk away like he had something better to do. Not only that but all of a sudden there were several employees just standing around in the middle of the work space chatting & laughing doing pretty much nothing instead of cleaning, which the place clearly needed. Garbages overflowing, water on the floor, food & debris all over. We bussed our own table. Not good! Now before you say anything, I'm not miffed I didn't get help. This used to be my favorite lunch spot, but the service has been steadily getting worse for the last couple years. The complete lack competency and curtsy of the staff and management on my last visit will make it the last time I frequent this location. Went there for dinner last night, ordered 3 tacos. Little to no meat in shells, all the topping were old. Lettuce was wilted, everything looked like it had been sitting out all day. Paid $9 for three of the most pathetic tacos I've ever seen. Ended up throwing the meal in the garbage. Also after hearing the Qdoba commercials I finally gave it a try. My first impressions is the style of the outside as well the interior decoration was festive and the staff was very friendly and offered suggestions. When i was going to sit down at a booth one of the employees promptly cleaned the table before i could say anything or sit down. My wife and i both bought chicken burritos. The portions are L A R G E and i couldn't even finish it. For a "side" we ordered some chips with chili cheese to dip with. Again this regard they served a large platter of chips and dip. Quality of the food did taste fresh though I'll have to say the "fiery habenero" sauce wasn't that fiery but ill just dump more next time. The rice was delicious with a hint of lime. Here's where I'll have to argue that there really isn't anything very mexicani about it other than the form factors of burritos and tacos. Nothing to knock them for it they do say on their site " A place where creativity and experimentation thrive" and truly it is. Don't expect Don Juan's Burrito Truck type food by any means. They are more of a grill with inspirations coming from Mexico. With that they are tasty and portions are large but ultimately just not my sort of food. read more

TLDR they catered our wedding, but they arrived an our late and blamed me for it. We ordered from this location for catering for our wedding... big mistake. The food was an hour late because the drivers got lost. Calling the store to try and find them was no help and told me it was my fault for giving them the wrong address (my confirmation email clearly stated the right address). When the drivers did finally call a half hour after the food was supposed to be here, I had to direct them to the location (the venue was known by any GPS device I've used), they finally arrived another 30 minutes later with cold food. Also, we had to run to the store to save any of the left overs since they took the lids to all of the food pans. I do not recommend them at all. They were slow, unorganized, and unprofessional. read more

The manager Dave also understands customer service and is very adept at handling complaints, concerns, and issues that may arise esp if it's an order that was not right the first time. I haven't had Qdoba in a long while, and after my visit today(6/7/18), I now understand why I have been going to other places (like Cafe Rio). Restaurant was dirty, the lobby was filthy, the service line needed to be wiped down and most every pan was well under a quarter full with dried bits of sauce or meat in the pans. I ordered some brisket tacos, and couldn't even finish my tacos because the brisket was so salty and dried out - some pieces were very tough to chew. Ordered chips and queso, too, and they filled the cup a little more than half way - I thought it was supposed to be a full cup of queso with chips? What a rip off, just use smaller containers if you won't give the right serving size. Now I am done with my sub-par meal and my stomach is so uneasy. Never going back to a Qdoba again. read more

We ate at QDOBA tonight and we were really disgusted with cleanliness of this restaurant. All trash cans were overflowing, tables were dirty, restrooms needed to cleaned and the floor in the prep area was covered with food. The kids working in the restaurant were friendly and food was good but I would NOT recommend eating at this restaurant until they get it cleaned up. If they are not doing basic cleaning, how can customers be comfortable with the promise that the restaurant is sanitizing every 2 hrs to prevent the spread of COVID 19? read more

A really good fast food restaurant if you're looking for healthy fast food alternative and/or just some good Mexican food! I've been to the shop a couple of times and I've been pleased with the service and food received. First couple times were quiet and a couple of other time for really busy but both times, the staff was very friendly and efficient and was able to provide a good meal with friendly attitudes! The price is pretty decent which I would think about $10 a head and the choices and menu are easy to read and comprehend. It is a basic assembly line of food made the way ask for it and one of the best parts is: there are no extra charges for standard items like guacamole or sour cream. I prefer Qdoba over Chipotle for both reasons of price and options. The facility was also maintained well during my visits, but that appears to be depending on both the behalf of the staff and the customers visiting. This was the best Qdoba back in the day. Went back tonight, DO NOT GO HERE. The place was a mess, trash all over the floor. I was thinking might just be the end of the dinner rush. But no. We witnessed employees throwing paper towels and cheese all over the floor. I tried to order the grilled veggies on my burrito bowl. Out of veggies. Tried to order the Impossible meat. Out of that. My fiancé tried to order the chicken. Out of that. The final straw was when one of the employees came back from a break, playing with his phone, didn't wash his hands. Proceeded to scoop chips from the container (bare handed) and then proceeded to serve up my fiancé's quesadilla (still no gloves) , played with his phone some more, dropped it on the counter (not a clean counter), then tried to serve it to us. I really didn't have high expectations for the #1 fast casual restaurant in USA Today. everytime I've been there, they have never had their fajitas vegetables ready.
