We've never eaten at a Qdoba before, but we've eaten at Chipotle plenty of times so we were familiar with what the menu was going to be like. I believe Qdoba is owned by Jack in The Box, while Chipotle is owned by McDonald's partially. They had just opened for the day, so it was a good time to go it was not crowded at all. My wife needs to eat gluten free for medical reasons, the girl at the counter was a little confused but quickly called her manager over who handled everything readily, and put my wife's mind to rest. She had the salad and I had the brisket burrito, which was very, very tasty. I would go back there again for a quick bite to eat if I was in the area again. You could do a lot worse for 10 bucks a person for lunch. 4 star rating leaning towards five. The bathrooms were a little bit messy with many Mexican wrestling posters torn off the walls. The kitchen and dining areas were very clean bordering on immaculate. I I'm not sure how my experience would have gone during a lunch rush, but it looks like they run a pretty tight ship there. Qdoba is one of my favorite fast-casual pig-out places. A step above Chipotle in my opinion, better menu, free queso and guac, and a better dining area. My go-to is the nacho bowl with queso switching between shrimp or steak or both. Then covered in mountain of toppings and sauces and two scoops of guacamole. Truly enough for 2 meals, but since nachos don't reheat well, I become glutenous and devour the entire thing then go take a long siesta. read more

Went here for the first time in a long time. They used to have way more locations in KC but since most of them closed it's been a while since I've had Qdoba. If you've never been here the food is similar to Chipotle but Qdoba offers a lot more topping choices and their guac doesn't cost extra! I ordered a bowl with adobo chicken, white rice, pico de gallo, corn salsa, cilantro, tortilla strips, guacamole, and pickled red onion. Everything tasted fresh and the chicken was tender and flavorful. Only thing I was not fond of was the customer service. Unlike what I expect from ordering at Chipotle, the lady did not ask me what kind of rice or beans I wanted. She just left it up to me to mention it and she also seemed kind of annoyed with my order. I got an order from doordash. It came pretty quick and it was really good! I ordered create your own bowl and had pork, rice, beans, fajita veggies, lettuce, Pico and more on it. It was very good and very filling! I had to save the rest for tomorrow! I haven't had Qdoba since it had to be in Zona Rosa years ago! I'm glad they have this location. I'm kind of confused why this Qdoba has such poor reviews! I'm a Qdoba fan over Chipotle so I will drag myself up north for a bowl and some queso. I've never had bad service here, I usually order on the app and pickup. When I order at the counter, I havent had any issues either. Portion sizes are normal for Qdoba and if I'm not super hungry I can get two meals out of it. Love being part of the rewards and email program as there are frequently BOGO offers and free sides etc. Last time I ordered, they threw in a free cookie for no reason! I also feel like prices are more reasonable than Chipotle these days and my chicken bowl is less than $10. read more

Chipotle but with free guac. They even have an app! This place is really yummy, it's just like chipotle but the guac is free. I really love their bowls too because you can shake up your whole meal in the bowl before removing the lid. Super convenient. Yay. One of my best friends recommended this place when we went to Kansas because it was "better than Chipotle" in her eyes. I said alright and we gave it a shot. It was an ice cold and windy day so some warm food sounded particularly nice. We walked in, and right off the bat I noticed dirty tables with used napkins and utensils on them. As a place that seemed to have quite a few crew members on duty, I would've expected more. Although I do agree customers should respect the facility and clean up after themselves, I've got to say I'm not a fan of having to clean up my own tables before I eat at them. My best friend raved about the "queso" and said it's a must try. She got it as the base in her bowl and had all the toppings added on top. I'm not big on soggy foods, so I opted to have my bowl made with a side of queso. As someone who had never been to the chain restaurant, I wasn't sure what to order which was immediately noticed by the woman behind the counter. She seemed to be very impatient and had a bit of an attitude when I asked her questions, which I wasn't very fond of. I would think you'd want to make a good impression on a new customer especially when it's their first visit. For my bowl, I had protein options of steak, chicken, brisket, ground beef, and pulled pork. I chose the safe route and got chicken. It was a little dry, but okay. I got cilantro rice with it, black beans, roasted corn, salsa, grilled peppers and topped with shredded cheese. I poured some of the queso on part of it, but ultimately was not a fan. It was runny and just tasted off. I got out with paying roughly $8.00 plus tax for the bowl, but I must say I was a little disappointed with my overall experience. Sometimes I can overlook the food if the staff is completely friendly and goes out of their way for their customers, but this was not one of those occasions. The last time I entered a Qdoba was at the 39th and State Line location many years ago. I saw roaches crawling between the ingredient containers on the line. It was before Chipotle came to Kansas City. Last night I stopped by the N. Antioch location for a late dinner. The building looked new and the inside was very clean. Unfortunately, the employees were unfriendly and not helpful at all. I ordered a chicken protein bowl hoping it would be substantial. Each scoop of ingredients were small. The serving of black beans was so small, I asked for more. My disappointment began when the server seemed put out by my request. She dished out about 20 more beans. The two scoops of chicken were smaller than an average serving at Chipotle. The serving of guac was about the size of a teaspoon. Even though I skipped the pico, they wouldn't let me change the green salsa for something hotter or they would "need" to charge more because it would be "custom". No cheese, no corn because "custom". As I paid over $11 for a bowl smaller and with less ingredients than a typical Chipotle bowl, my regret began to set in. It was only when I began to eat it that my disappointment and regret was fully realized. The food was bland and the tiny portion of tasteless green salsa added nothing. It took a while but I finally found the guac hiding behind a few black beans. I guess I should be happy there were no apparent roaches in the restaurant...so there's that. I wouldn't recommend Qdoba unless it was your only option but even then, be prepared to be disappointed. read more

Oh my gosh, do not come here. I was craving "American Mexican" (I don't know if that's a thing) and chose this over the nearby Chipotle since it had a better rating. I was happy to see they had cauli mash since Chipotle stopped carrying it. For a nearly $2 up charge, I got a measly 2 scoops that didn't even cover 1/2 the bowl. Added some chips and guac & it was over $15! They were not generous with any of the ingredients, including the guacamole. Employees are jerks. Avoid. Ray is yelling across the restaurant at customer telling them to put on their mask as they are searching for it in their pockets and asking if they have a restroom. She just keeps yelling the same thing of you have to have a mask over and over and escalating for no reason. Person is looking for it. Doesn't know how to deescalate anything just making matters worse. Lady at the register tried to charge me over $15 when my total was less than $10. Chicken was bland and the guacamole was flavorless. My daughter got chips and queso...I had no idea corn chips could taste bad. They were stale and when I brought them up to be replaced was told "they were fine earlier" then the staff member ate the chips off our plate while trying to prove that they were fine. There were so many ingredients that should have made my meal flavorful, however this was not the case. Rice w/cilantro had zero flavor, not sure how that happened. Black beans must have gone from the can to the metal container they were held in. Pico and guacamole had the same issue, you can now go online and get recipes that can assist with this. The steak had a little flavor, but not enough to carry the rest of the meal. I took about 3-4 bites, really tried to taste something and threw the whole thing out. Ended up going across the way and getting the tomato mozzarella panini at Starbucks... which was sealed in plastic and refrigerated, yet somehow had more flavor and more satisfying than a meal made fresh. I am vegan and this restaurant offers many options that fit my (as well as almost any other) dietary restrictions, including their new Impossible meat, which is incredible! My sister loves this place. We always go here when we meet. I like the the Antioch Crossings shopping center, it is all brand new shops. Qdoba was one of the first places in Antioch Crossings. Qdoba was fast to take my order, and the food was fresh. I love there Queso and surf bowl with shrimp. The employees look a little rough but they were very nice and helpful. The price is a little expensive to me. One day I just wanted a drink, a small drink was 2.10. Then the drink choice that o wanted was out. The place isn't the most comfortable to have a meal but it's nice and clean. I like to come here every now and again especially with Baskin and Robins in walking distance! read more
