    The line

The drink machine is broken. The service is painfully slow. 3 people in line and we haven't moved in four minutes. And: the burrito was great! Freshly made, tasty, very nice. Oh well. This Covid mess is tough on businesses. The young man behind the counter was really friendly!!

    Allergen Chart

Service was horrible by the middle age brunette woman between 8:00 PM -8:07PM 08/17/2023. I am brushed off and treated as a joke when I asked, if tortilla strips were gluten free? she responds I don't know so I asked a more simpler question; if it was corn based like corn tortillas? she responds yes. I have a severe gluten allergy known as celiac disease which is dangerous. I am glad my gut says other wise when I looked at the chart after receiving them. they need to focus on people rather than giving petty rations (I had gotten an attitude to receive a bit more; rice thankfully the nice young man had served me more) and unknowledgeable about the food their employees are serving. People who are new seek guidance for information about new places even for one quick question to get answered with a yes or no. know your establishment.

$5 For two tiny sides of white rice to go? Chipotle is right down the street, switching it up.

The host was welcoming and was provided with chips and salsa right away. The server was quick to welcome us, taking our drink orders, and providing us with more time with the menu due to our first visit. The menu is extensive and has the standard offerings of other local Mexican restaurants. Lunch included the Chimichanga with green chili and sides of rice and beans, and the other a combo plate of the Beef Burrito, Cheese Enchilada and Pork Tamale. The server asked if we wanted mild, medium or hot green chili, which was a nice offering. For us the hot green chili was very good, with enough heat to make us "sweat", but not overpower our taste buds. The medium was just about right for nice flavorful meal with the lingering heat. All the meals were served quickly and piping hot and had nice flavor all around. Overall, the lunch was good and service excellent, and parking was great with plenty of off-street parking. I would not hesitate to return when in the mood for some consistent and comfort Mexican food, and great service. Tips for your visit: Lunch time is a slower time for them, so both times I visited we were able to sit and visit with friends without feeling rushed.

I loved that the burrito came with the option of hot medium or mild chili. I ended up getting the hot and I'm very happy that I did. It had a really nice kick and great flavor with just enough heat to let you know that it's authentic. The michelada as well as the mango Margarita we're pretty amazing. First off, let me say that Jersey Mike's sandwiches are great. Having said that, I want you to know…read morethat I consider customer service to be just as important as the product being sold. So, here is my review of this particular Jersey Mike's location: I ordered a Giant Sub online with extra meat and extra cheese and a wheat bun. I added a $2 tip. I ordered it ONLINE. I drove the miles to the location, my order was there and ready in the sealed bag. I took it home. I opened the bag. It was not my order...not even close. There was a regular sandwich, a larger sandwich on white bun and some chips. Naturally, I was upset. Who wouldn't be? Anyway, I had to drive all the miles back to this Jersey Mike's on Centennial Rd. I went in and, of course, asked for the manager (MGR). He came out and walked up to me at the counter, a frown on his face. MGR: What is it? Me: I drove all the way home, opened up the bag, and this is not my order, not even close. MGR: (Silence) Me: So, I guess ordering online here you're taking a gamble. MGR: (The frown is still there...no apology for the mistake) Has this happened before? Me: No. MGR: Then your logic doesn't back up your statement. Me: This order is not even close to my order. MGR: You can drop the attitude. Me: Attitude? (Ah, I see...when you drive all the way home and find out you were given the wrong order, don't you dare be upset about it...) MGR: (Frowning, he starts doing stuff on the cash register not speaking a word...I have no idea what he's doing because he is not talking to me at all. After a minute, he hands me a couple of cards, buy one sub get one free, and another for a free regular sub. He then walks away. He says NOTHING...just a frown.) I stood there watching him and could see he was making a sandwich...maybe my sandwich? Who knows...he had said nothing to me. After wrapping up the sandwich he made and putting it in a bag, he came back to me and handed it to me. Me: What is it? MGR: (Frowning) Your order. Me: How do I know that? MGR: (Frowning) It's your order. So, I pulled the sandwich out and unwrapped it. Me: That's a wheat bun? MGR: Yes. Me: (Looking at the sandwich...it looks like it's okay). You sure? MGR: Attitude. Me: You're the one with an attitude. What's your name? MGR: I don't have to tell you my name. At this point, he was really upsetting me, so I took the wrong order out of its bag and I put the right sandwich in the bag and I left. So, here is my review: they make good sandwiches, but that manager did not even remotely come close to apologizing for the mistake, but instead attacked me for having an "attitude". He was not wearing a name tag and he refused to tell me his name. He has black, curly hair. All I can say is that if this is how the owner teaches his managers to treat customers, then I cannot in good conscience give them anything above one star. Like I said: I believe customer service is just as important as the productwell, their sandwiches are good. Their customer service is horrible. And that manager? Man, if I owned a sub shop and I found out the manager was acting like that toward a customer who had been wronged, I wouldn't keep him around another day. Will I buy another sandwich there? Possibly, because they do make good sandwiches, but I guarantee I will never order online from them again, because they might screw up the order and then without apologizing for their mistake, they will criticize you for having an "attitude". A simply apology would have made all the difference, but apparently apologizing to a customer for their mistake is not in their DNA.

As I walked in around 4 pm with family, we were the only ones in and then as the day progressed, more people came in for an early dinner! Clean, little rustic looking, Walls filled with fun graphics, kind staff, fun looking bathroom signs (women's) is how I will describe this restaurant. We ordered tacos - al pastor, carne asada, chicken, shredded beef, Adobada (pork without pineapple) and smothered marinated pork Burrito. Loved all the dishes and the clear winner for us was the Adobada meat (marinated pork). Every single bite was flavorful, juicy and tender. The seasoning was just right without it being overpowering. Both the Tacos and the gooey Burrito were filled with lots of meat - honestly, it was simple and satisfying without it being too greasy. Pricing was very affordable for the food portions and the food quality you get here. This is definitely an authentic spot you want to visit whenever you are in the mood to eat Mexican food - simple high quality food. Highly recommended and a spot I will always return to whenever I visit Denver next time.
