Went twice. First time was like 10 minute wait. Second time was closer to an hour so business is good. A bit pricey for me for a buffet because 3 of us was about 100$ before tip. Food was fresh both times. The service was ok when trying to get refills and the plates cleared. I don't eat sushi so I can't offer any advice. I'm not the biggest fan of buffets now that I'm a bit older and do not have an iron stomach anymore. However, having a buffet open in Littleton is fairly exciting so we decided to give it a try. Everyone working is really friendly and our plates were cleaned up in a timely manner. The prices are reasonable also. $21pp for a weekday dinner is quite the steal in this economy. We tried a bit of everything, but what stood out was the Monglian grill. The sauces are very concentrated though, so definitely only use half to 1 scoop of sauce for your bowl, it is very salty. The fried chicken was delicious and highly recommend grabbing some of those. The coconut shrimp was tender and sweet. The salmon was also cooked and seasoned well. Skip the crab and the sushi was not the best and definitely not the star of the buffet. They also have an ice cream station with soft serve along with packaged ice cream. These were nice to have, but nothing memorable. We arrived around 5:30 and there were plenty of tables, but by the time it was 6:30 it was packed. We were seated in a booth and we also needed a high chair and it was abnormally tall to meet the height of the table. However, my son couldn't even reach the table because it was too far and it was very inconvenient. I'd recommend getting a non booth with a normal high chair if it's available. For the price and the selection not bad. There's not many places like this left so if you want to get your buffet fix and to try a selection of items then why not. For $21 dinner price you can't beat all the options you have. There's also desserts, ice cream, pizza for your picky eaters, seafood options and Mongolian grill options where you can create your own stir fry. Come hungry and try some good food. They literally just opened a couple days ago so yes it can get busy but I feel like they were moving the tables pretty quick even at 6:30pm on a Friday night. City buffet is your standard Chinese and sushi buffet with a Mongolian grill as well. I've been excited to try it since it opened a few months ago, as it's now the closest all you can eat Chinese place to my house. The sushi was better than most buffet sushi. The meats we tried were not dry, the Thai chicken was so incredibly garlicky it was all I could taste for a while. The Mongolian line moved quickly. The staff were very friendly from the start, and I like how there's plenty of booth seating. When I saw this spot open, I was excited for no reason and had to try. 1 time is all I needed. Everything is fine with some of the warm seafood dishes having odd flavor profiles. I have been waiting for this restaurant to open for nearly a year and I'm thrilled it's finally open. They are calling it a "soft opening" but it's open and running. I grabbed my wife and her new girlfriend and headed over. We were all impressed from the second we walked in until we walked out. The decor is eye catching and beautiful. Everything is new, clean and shiny. The staff were all exceptionally pleasant, polite, helpful and efficient. The food choices lean more towards Asian type cuisine but they have plenty of basics of Americans type foods. I enjoyed their soft serve ice cream bar as well. Parking was simple and there plenty of it. It's in a really nice area of town with Marston Lake right behind it. This place is a hit and all three of us really enjoyed ourselves. The big plus? Arrived at 5pm on a Sunday thinking I'd beat the crowds, but was surprised to see a crowd already! Waited for 20 min for our table, not bad for a new highly anticipated soft opening for a buffet. I did enjoy the food variety and Mongolian grill. Sushi- I thought was better than most other similar places in the Denver metro area. Discovered this new Asian buffet in Littleton to meet up with a friend. The place is decent sized. We got there right about 5 pm on a Wednesday night before the dinner rush. Place was clean and servers every where. We were seated immediately. One thing I liked about this buffet is that they have sinks to just wash your hands outside of the restrooms, which I like a lot. Any buffets you go to is just a casual ambiance, nothing fancy. Food I would say is decent. Don't expect fine dining when coming to a buffet. The best thing I enjoyed there was the green beans, battered fried shrimp, Chinese donut, Thai chicken, and the little ice cream cups. You can't really go wrong with food choices here. Well it looks like my review is the first review of someone who has actually eaten here. The inside is flashy, new, and clean. We arrived shortly after 4:30pm for dinner. The service is very friendly. And the food is... Exactly what you would expect from a buffet. It's fine. I would not recommend the sushi. The rice was extremely hard and it tasted like it had been frozen (assembled) and thawed. The hot food from the buffet tasted fine. I get the suspicion that several items are Costco/Sam's frozen food that they've cooked (fried fish, fried shrimp, etc.). I didn't get to try the grill yet, but I do plan to come back and give that a try... Fewer kids with their grubby paws on the food. I think they are running a discount because it was only $45 for two adult meals and they advertise as $30 for an adult dinner. So... Give it a try or don't, but probably go early to avoid the crowds and... Buffet ick. read more

Nice sized location. Wide variety of food plus a Mongolian grill so you can put together your combination of ingredients. Unfortunately i bypassed the grill so I could try more of the buffet items. Food was OK - nothing spectacular. Seems like the two most used seasonings are ginger and Chinese 5 Spice. The rest of the food I tried was relatively bland. I have never given a buffet of any kind a five star review. Until now. I highly recommend City Buffet. I have eaten there three times so far. They have a great selection of Asian food, a Mongolian grill, and a sushi bar. The place is very clean, the decor is very nice, the seating is comfortable. Now. The food. As far as Asian buffets go, this one is the best I have ever eaten at, and that's saying a lot because I have eaten at Asian style buffets many different time in my life. Most of them are average at best. City Buffet is above average. The food selection is great, and the food is good! It is above average. Also, the price is reasonable. I will mention, though, that drinks are not included in the price of the buffet...they cost extra. The ambiance was great. It's a sea theme and everything is very beautiful. The rice has been very dry twice now both in the rice cooker as well as with the sushi. There was no butter that I could find to eat with the crab. The service was excellent and fast with drink refills and clearing dirty plates. Went during the soft opening around 7 on a Saturday night. It was busy but we only waited maybe 10 min. Food was good, fresh and had quite the variety. Workers replenished empty containers quickly. We've eaten there twice but not sure we'll go back. While there is a large selection and the service is fast (used plates are quickly picked up), my biggest complaint is the cross-contamination at the Mongolian grill station. The cooks use the same spatulas. The cooks circle around the big round griddle, stir frying the raw foods. The problem is they don't clean their utensils in between. If your food is almost cooked, but a bowl of raw food is dumped next to yours, depending which way the cook is going, spatulas that just touched raw food are now plating your food. Same problem if you have any allergies. There could be shrimp or chili sauce or whatever next to your food. Something you don't want could get into your food because of the unwashed spatulas. When a cooked meal is plated, we observed the cooks barely scraping off that area before cooking the next person's bowl. You might be getting a little residue you don't want. The place has been packed the two times we've been there, and the Mongolian grill is very popular, keeping the 1-2 cooks extremely busy, but that is not an excuse for basic cleanliness. read more
