Mostly I stick to the carne asada quesadilla, taco salad and sometimes 3-4 all pastor tacos. When I'm super hungry I do the fried burrito, yes it's deep fried, crispy on the outside and moist and delicious on the inside. Those cold winter days the ramen birria or birria tacos are the go to choices. Get their avocado jalapeno salsa and the hot salsa for a spicy kick. Their horchata is a must have as well!! Thank you to the incredible staff who is always very friendly and welcoming every time I visit.

There was no wait, and plenty of seating to choose from. I could definitely see this being a spot I'd come back to for drinks before heading out. We tried the elote, which was good, although I think the corn could have been cooked a little longer. The asada fries were delicious, crispy fries good portion of steak and the beautiful presentation and we got some hot salsa on the side, it was actually spicy, which I appreciated! The prickly pear Paloma was SO good. I also had a sip of my husband's Minnesota Cooler, and that was good too. We found street parking less than a block away, which was convenient. Overall, our experience was good. Nothing spectacular just yet, but hopefully as they've been open longer, they continue to grow into a place you want to come back to again and again. Shoutout to Ivan for the good service the night we visited! We'll definitely keep this place in mind and would come back to try more.

From the looks…read moreof it, you would think it has been there from the 1950's because it is an authentic drive-in restaurant. That means there are little speakers next to each parking stall from which you order (the menu is near the speaker) and they will bring the food to your car. They used to bring the food to you on a tray, but now it is bagged up for you to either enjoy in your car or to take home. Other options are to sit at one of about half a dozen picnic tables, or there is seating inside the restaurant. Frankly, Wagners was getting a bit run-down, but they have spruced up the place in the last couple of year, with a well-deserved paint job, new speakers, and new picnic tables. They even have hand held credit card readers, which saves the waitstaff from making extra trips to process your card. The menu has all of the classics you would want, from a variety of tasty, juicy hamburgers, hot and cold sandwiches, meals that include fries, coleslaw, and toast. Their French fries are crinkle cut and excellent: crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The onion rings are good and you can have Chile in a bowl or on your hamburger or hotdog. There are milkshakes, desserts, kids' meals and smoothies. I've eaten here for years and the food is always reliably great, the service is always friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Take your kids here, take your grandkids here, go here for a date, or just go yourself. It's a fun and tasty time!

It doesn't have a huge deli menu, but it had a bunch of sandwiches on the menu that looked pretty good. You can zoom in on my photo to see the menu. We came for breakfast and there was a nice donut case as well as other breakfast options. We came late so the donut case was pretty picked over which is to be expected. We had a cream filled bismark, a sausage roll, and an Asian coffee. The bismark was the best I have had in a long time. They fill it with your choice of fillings right when you order so it isn't soggy. The dough part of the donut was fresh and light and somehow tastier than anywhere I have been. The custard was pretty standard custard, but also tasted lighter and fresher than I have had before. The sausage roll was basically a hot dog type sausage wrapped in a croissant type dough. There was also an option of cheese and jalapeño. It was good. The Asian coffee was good, as you might guess it was pretty much what other places call Vietnamese coffee. It is in a strip mall so there is strip mall parking. There is a ramp and the store is pretty handicapped accessible. The staff were fast, efficient, and friendly. There was a good amount of seating inside, and a few tables outside.

After spending some time in uptown Minneapolis, it was 8:30 pm and I needed to grab some dinner. I…read moredidn't feel like dining in anywhere, so I went with takeout. I wanted to hit a Taco John's. The closest one was this one in New Hope. I had never been to New Hope, so I was looking forward to it. This Taco John's is in a strip mall. It does not have a drive-thru. There was a lot of parking. I backed into a spot and walked in. This eatery has a ton of seating. It's huge. There were a handful of people waiting for their food. I walked up to the counter and had the nicest man take my order. I had been eyeing the meat and potatoes burrito for a while. I got it as a combo. I got potato olés as my side. My combo came with a fountain drink. I paid with a credit card. The transaction went smoothly. I got a cup and headed to the drinks area. I filled it with Diet Pepsi. Filling my cup up killed a bit of time, along with getting a straw and napkins. I probably waited for ten minutes at the most for my food. A woman called out order 8. My receipt said 208. I didn't know whether she was going with the last digit of the order number. So, I showed my receipt to her. She rattled the contents of the bag. Yep, it was my order and the place goes with the last digit of the order number. I thanked her and wished her a great evening. She reciprocated. Even the man who had taken my order also said goodnight. Such a nice touch. I headed to my car and drove back to the hotel. It was a clear evening and a nice drive. I chowed down when I got back to my room. I tore into my meat and potatoes burrito first. It had ground beef, potato olés, nacho cheese, sour cream, lettuce, and tomatoes. I have never been big on sour cream, so I'll need to have that held next time. Luckily, there wasn't all that much of it in my burrito. It was a hearty, hefty, flavourful burrito. It was huge. I loved it. I love potato olés. Each one is so enjoyable to devour. It's like having a hybrid of mashed potatoes and tater tots. You get the best of crispy and creamy potatoes in each olé. So good! My Diet Pepsi was refreshing. It washed everything down and hit the spot. I had a great experience at this eatery. I'd return when I'm in the area. I can also say that I've finally been to New Hope.
