TLDR: inconsistent portions, middling level of ingredients Qdoba advertises its "free guacamole" everywhere, but they're really stingy about it. In my group of four we each added guac to our bowls, and the biggest portion contained a tablespoon at most. I dug through my bowl and couldn't find any guac at all. Veggies and proteins are shown no care at all. The vegetables are chopped into massive chunks making them unpleasant to eat. The protein is also unevenly cut, making for some massive chunks. This is more of a personal opinion, but the birria beef did not have great flavor. I received a lot more of some ingredients than others in my group - all the orders seem inconsistent in the amount of ingredients. I came here for a deal, and this visit reminded me why I don't eat at Qdoba anymore. At this price point I'd rather go to Chipotle. read more

Poor customer service. Clean. TIP: Sign up for Qdoba points system. I only had 2 visits listed on my app and I already had 4k points accumulated. I was able to redeem FREE chips and quac and still had 3k+ points left on it. Give it a try. Before I even had a chance to speak to a worker behind the counter I could tell he/she did not want to be bothered. Every extra request was treated with a leave me alone attitude. Ordered a cauli-mash bowl and a drink and they sold me a cauli-mash bowl and a drink. No one did cartwheels at my presence nor hounded me for my autograph. I paid and left - it was a perfectly ordinary and anonymous transaction. When did the expectation of ebuliant, supernaturally enthusiastic service creep into our fast food mindset. Every retail engagement doesn't have to be a "10", nor was it ever. I'm sure back in the day there was more than one Happy Meal flung over the counter by some indolent teen who hated his job. My lunch on a random Tuesday was histrionics free and forgotten six minutes after I consumed it. Perfect. I just hate it when they ask for my autograph. Nice job Qdoba. Five stars. read more

My friends always rave about QDOBA saying it's better than all its other fast food competitors and I finally got to give it a try! I ordered the Taco Salad Bowl (~$10) with half Cilantro-Lime White Rice and half Seasoned Brown Rice. I also got fajita veggies, black beans, lettuce, shredded cheese, guacamole, and mild queso on the side. For the proteins, I got half Marinated Grilled Chicken and half Marinated Grilled Steak. It was all put into the delicious, crispy taco bowl and I was ready to grub. I must say that the meats and rices were super well-seasoned! A lot better than other places I've had. I also loved the fajita veggies. They're definitely on the oily side but they make the bowl that much better. The mild queso was actually delicious! I was surprised because I expected it to taste like typical nacho cheese but it was much more than that. The guacamole was also a great addition to the bowl. I loved being able to eat away at my bowl whenever I needed that crunch factor. If you love a little bit a crunch in what you eat, I definitely recommend the taco shell bowl! Overall, QDOBA might actually be my new favorite fast casual Mexican spot. The food tasted great and the prices are fair. The service was a bit slow as they seemed understaffed. My first time ever at one of these and I was pleasantly surprised. My own lack of groceries and a buy 1 get 1 coupon spurred the visit for a workday lunch. For my meal I had 3 chicken tacos, the price comes down slightly when you" bundle" 3. I can't recall the names but one had bacon, the other didn't. I liked both, but possibly the bacon one more. The meat was nicely seasoned and seared, and not dry at all. The toppings that I can't quite recall were good too, and they'll add scoops of decent guacamole for free. I took a burrito bowl to go, this one with smoked brisket. Not sure why I selected that, just to change things up I guess? Very good but I'd chose a different protein if ordering again, but a hefty serving of it. I really can't see how anyone but an athlete in training could eat such a big portion, I had 2 meals from that thing. There was a little issue with my coupon that was straightened quickly, and the overall service was very prompt. I've rarely been to their better known competitor, but I think I prefer Q. I'm trying to become a vegetarian. So this was my first time purposely ordering a vegetarian dish at a restaurant. (I'm such a goofy person bc inside I was all excited to place this order, like it was some new phenomenon) Anywho, this place wasn't very crowded and they were prepping the resturant for closing. It was around 8pm when I arrived there. It reminded me of a more relaxed chipotle. I felt like I could stand there without being rushed along and food thrown all about. I'm one of those people who like to read the menu before going to a place so I knew what I wanted etc. sadly they were out of the veggies for the vegan burrito so I opted for fajita veggies instead. The person behind the counter apologized and told me I could have free guacamole with my order :)) They don't have a great selection of beverages like chipotle. All in all I liked the service, atmosphere, and food. This is a nice place to come study too. After eating I sat there for about 45 minutes reading. A plus, the movie theatre is a few steps away from the resturant and coming here could lead to a fun little evening. read more

What can I say, I love Qdoba! Hands down they have the best queso in the game (spicy and regular) and the quality of their rice, beans, proteins, and toppings are above average. Whenever I get a burrito bowl, I'm always satisfied with my meal :) And even better? They now offer Impossible Meat! I'm not vegetarian/vegan but I love Impossible Meat and order it almost every time it's an option. The few times I'm in a different mood, I order their pork and it's sooo good! They also don't charge extra for guac like other places do, which is much appreciated! As for the portions, they're on par with Chipotle or Moe's. The quality of the service is also similar - though what can you really expect in a fast casual setting? I don't ask for much as far as service is concerned - I just expect general courtesy which I have always received at this location. read more

This QDOBA is located right next to a movie theater, so it's really convenient to eat here and then see a film. Despite the location, it's never been super busy for me, probably because of the many surrounding restaurants. Anyway, the burritos taste good, the staff are competent, and the tables are usually pretty clean. This is a great place to grab a quick bite. It is conveniently located in a mall and right next to a really nice movie theatre. So before or after the movie head on over. And if you need a place to sit down and get some grub while shopping, it is right there. There is a wide variety of items for vegetarians and many meats bailable, including steak, my favorite. Unlike most Mexican fast food restaurants, all of the toppings are free so I always enjoy a nice portion of delicious guacamole on my soft taco. Many portion sizes are available, for any see size appetite. The drinks are self-serve so you won't leave thirsty. Their rewards program is very generous, so frequent customers are appropriately rewarded. The employees are friendly and the line moves quickly. Everything is very freshly prepared and delicious. I contacted customer service directly online and expressed my discontent. They were quick to appease me by granting 3 free meals to compensate for the lackluster ones I had paid for! This time, however, I did not order online. I went into the shop and placed my five meal orders to make sure we got what we wanted. I believe it was the shop manager that actually prepped our meals! Wow, I would never go back here again. The food was fine, but the service was horrible. I think it's the manager, other's on here have complained about her too. When I got there (i was the only one on line) she was training a younger employee on how to weight the meat so as not to give too much out. This took a minute of two, but I told her to take her time as I was in no rush. When she went to help me, she was very rude and rushed me through my order (again, there was no one else on line). It was so bad that I asked her if there was something wrong - i can't remember ever being treated this way before. She said that this is just the way they do things there. I am profoundly disappointed with the customer service and food quality of this establishment. All my life I was wondering, "what is it all about?" I had my question answered negatively, through a short man, approximately 5'0" not even wearing a hairnet for his beard. Tried using my be my guest, free entree cards which I received from corporate for an inconvenience I endured at this particular location and was treated like I forged these cards, especially when I gave a letterhead from Corporate Qdoba & Jack in the box. The manager on duty, a big heavyset black man by the name of Tye was an absolute defender of castle, the worst kind I have ever endured!!! Made me feel like a second class citizen, especially when he proceeded to call his GM or DM, when I clearly told him these cards were for an inconvenience, and didn't want to go into it further with him. This place is awesome and so underrated. I don't understand why anyone goes to Chipotle or Moe's over here. The cilantro rice is great. Tequila chicken lime has one of the best flavors out there and isn't dry. And the queso is indescribably delicious. I hate waiting in line in Chipotle - the food is mediocre and the price is too high for a burrito bowl. Forget about getting guac because you're broke already. At least you're able to get everything you've ever wanted in your burrito bowl and it's not extra. Did I mention the queso already? Because I dream about it. This is 2 stars for the food but downgraded to 1 for stupid. First, the food: average Mexican fast food scooped from a lukewarm trough. The tortilla in which my burrito was wrapped was pasty and overly soft, almost certainly undercooked. Now the stupid: with guacamole (I mention this because I'm assuming it's an extra cost item), my veggie burrito was $8.00 with tax, and weighed about 3 lb. No lie. So... this is a great deal, for a glutton, but for a normal healthy person who's not binging, this is ridiculous. I would be a fan of this place if they didn't cater to foolish fat-asses who keep coming back for the gross tonnage you get for your dollar. Would it be too much to ask to offer a downsized item or two so that I don't have to choose between overeating and throwing away half a meal I've paid for? This location is not as clean or efficient as the Nassau St location. Workers are less experienced/higher turnover, so they are inconsistent on correctly filling and wrapping the burritos. The staff is not as friendly. The dining room is often dirty and unswept. Flavors are still mostly good, but the other things make it worth it to drive to Princeton proper and go to that location instead. read more

Filthy This Qdoba is: F I L T H Y The first time I ate here was a couple of months ago on a week night. I noticed a lot of food on the floor, the place looked dirty. Thought that it must have been a busy night and the kid working the floor clean-up was over whelmed. The food tasted good so I went back. This time it was a Saturday afternoon and very busy so I had to wait in line for a while. As I am standing in line I notice a teen aged guy with a dish rag wiping down the tin plates that they put the brown paper in that your food sits on. I also noticed that the dish rag was damp, dirty and dingy. As I continued to watch I realize that the tin plates are not washed but only wiped down with a dirty, damp dish rag. So the sequence is: they serve your food on the brown paper that sits in the tin plate. When the tin plate is returned it is wiped down with a dirty dish rag. After they wipe the tin plate the paper is placed on top. The next tin plate is stacked on the paper so the bottom of the tin comes in contact with the paper that your food will sit on. As a result what ever was on the table, on the tin and on the rag comes in contact with your food. Needless to say, I got out of line and walked out as fast as possible. Call me a germ-a-phobe if you like. This was my last time at this Qdoba. I don't know if this is normal for all Qdaba's or if they are just taking short cuts at this one location. a totally average Qdoba location, located inside of Princeton MarketFair mall. - the service is hit-or-miss (as is expected from local high schoolers who tend to work at these joints) - the food is hit-or-miss (sometimes the meat's been sitting out and isn't hot, other times you get lucky and it's just been made. sometimes they pile on the meat, other times they skimp a little) - the cleanliness is hit-or-miss (some people leave a mess behind, and sometimes the staff is slow to clean it up. can't comment on the bathrooms- haven't ventured in there... but they do exist, so that's a plus) ...see the trend yet? everything is decent. sometimes above-average, sometimes below. the food is pretty on-par with Chipotle (which is like a 90-second drive away), but some days i really just want the ancho chili BBQ sauce that only Qdoba offers. another plus: if you're in the mood for a burrito but your buddy wants a burger, this location is a good compromise- Bobby's Burger Palace is just next door. so yeah. bring me a burrito bowl. read more

I've been going to this qudoba for years and recently tried their impossible plant based option. While this location is occasionally understaffed, I find that everyone working here is fast, attentive, and patient. Their burritos are well portioned and I love the fact that they don't charge extra for their queso and guacamole. The impossible meat is well seasoned and very filling. I find the flavor at Qdoba to be a lot better than its competitor, Chipotle. Also, if you have dietary restrictions or allergies, I find that Qdoba accommodates you a lot better. The food is fresh and tasty, and they let you swap ingredients if you want. I typically get a naked burrito bowl with brown rice, black beans, extra steak or chicken (depends on my mood, but both are really good; their pulled pork is surprisingly fantastic if you're a fan of that), extra queso (really good), lettuce, sour cream, and cheese. Then he dropped the sheet of wax paper used between the plastic bowls and my child's quesadilla on the floor. He picked up the wax paper OFF THE FLOOR and put it back on my son's bowl!! To be fair, the food is very good. I come here often but give the place a one star for cleanliness which is a pet peeve. Have witnessed one guy on multiple visits letting the tortilla used to make a burrito rub across his filthy shirt (and I mean filthy) or else lean against the part that overhangs the counter. On my most recent two trips I've now noticed that they transfer the tacos from the plate they are prepared on to another another plate that they serve it to the customer on. And both times, the person doing the food transfer is the cashier and they are using the same dirty rubber gloves that they handle the money with. Disgusting. Don't just take my word for it, pay attention as you are standing in line. Management here - if you read this and change the behaviors of your employees I will gladly change my review. read more

The tortilla soup is a treat for a cold day (and low calorie!). This place is squeaky clean and new, with lots of employees and promotions buzzing. Now would be a great time to check it out. The selection is fairly extensive for a quick sit-down or take out style restaurant (I hesitate to say "fast food" but it certainly is fast). The staff was friendly and full of suggestions about the somewhat complicated menu. If you aren't a mexican foodie you might get a bit dizzy with all the choices. I'd say grab a good friend or loved one and give it a shot. You might see what you've been missing all these years--tacos could be just your thing. If you've ever been turned off by Taco Bell than this is your chance to renew your love affair with the wonderful cuisine that lies just south of the border. And after you're done, shop 'till you drop at the great selection of "higher end" retail shops all over this warm and cozy little mall. Coffee at Barnes and Noble, anyone?
