Fresh, healthy, and quick. I haven't been to a CAVA in so long, but after leaving an event nearby later one evening, Yelp brought me here and I am not mad at all about it. The line was already pretty long at about 7PM ish on a weeknight, but luckily it moved very fast. I decided on one of the salmon bowls and made a few additions because everything in the line looked so good. Honestly, no complaints! Get a little of all of the sides because they are ALL delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the portion was big enough where I had plenty left over for lunch the next day. solid food. looks like they are going for a more health version of chipotle and have done a pretty good job at it. space is pretty open and bright. cracks me up that the are next door to the habit burger. i think they are a touch on the pricy side but thats ok. the portions are pretty decent sized so that probably will make up for it. read more

Finally got around to trying Cava after hearing such great things about it from my friends. And oh man, it did not disappoint one bit. It's the healthiest I've ever felt after eating at a fast food restaurant! My salad was fantastic! I did not miss the carbs at all. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. The best part was probably all the harissa flavor and the crunch from the cucumbers. I would not get the olives next time as the bites with them were too salty. The bowls are so big that I only finished half. The places was clean and modern. The staff were all friendly and helped me pick what dressing to use as I was a first time customer. We were in the area so decided to try out this place, and I'm so glad we did. Absolutely delicious food. We ordered the Harrissa avocado bowl. Wow! Too good. You can also make your own or add to the preset ones as well. Apart from bowls they also have pitas . Drinks are also very good, especially the strawberry citrus. Cava has taken the place of the former Zoës Kitchen, which was a Mediterranean quickserve restaurant. The best way to describe Cava is Mediterranean Chipotle. I was pretty bummed that Zoës closed and Cava is not as good as Zoës was. But it's still a solid option for Mediterranean quickserve. My biggest concern is that my children with food allergies were able to eat at Zoës Kitchen because they had a grilled chicken and rice kids entrée. But it seems that everything at Cava is already cooked and in trays behind the counter, whereas food was more cooked to order at Zoës. Next time I'm at Cava I'll inquire if they can make them something safe. read more

Judging from their spectacular IPO it seems like the steakhouse dwellers on Wall Street think grain bowls, hummus and sustainably sourced sawdust at the exponentially expanding fast-casual chain Cava is going to be bigger than oxygen. On first taste their version of fast Mediterranean is not bad but honestly it's definitely not next level, nor is it worth the premium required. It's everything you've had before mixed in a bowl and spiked with all the feel-good "of the moment" hot buttons from the Gen-Z kitchen -- spicy falafel, fiery broccoli, hummus, tzatziki, pickled onions, romaine, rice, skhug, garlic dressing. Maybe, I'll order the fiery balsa wood and just be done with it. Finally, in keeping it real, it's beyond obvious that whatever I think is irrelevant given that the overwhelming majority of nearby undergrads will scoop this up with a hemp shovel. Without a doubt this is the weakest Cava I've been to. By far. 80% of the staff literally couldn't care less. It's somewhat impressive. If you are ordering you better not take your time or ask questions or you may annoy them--quite a bit. There are one or two that really try to make the experience positive. Also, ingredients are commonly missing. Last time I was here no falafel or sweet potatoes--at the same time. Roasted veggies was my only option. But by far the most annoying part is the delay in pick up orders. My last two pick up orders were delayed well over 20 minutes. The first one closer to 30 minutes. I could've easily waited on to get my order in the time that it was brought out to me. This place should simply not do online orders anymore. read more

Since this location has opened, I have been a frequent customer as I enjoy the healthy options. Although every single time I visit this CAVA, I am met with extremely rude and unhygienic employees. Coming to this location you will be faced with dirty looks and attitude from most of the staff. When getting to the register, you can expect the employee to use no gloves/ dirty gloves to handle and pack your food. It is obvious that management has no form of accountability for its employees and lack basic training on food handling and safety. The poor customer service outweighs any food options CAVA has to offer, and I highly suggest everyone takes their business elsewhere. Shame on the staff and management, if you cannot greet or treat customers with minimal respect, I recommend you make an attitude adjustment and find another profession. read more

My family used to really enjoy Zoes Kitchen and their food that was cooked to order. Their meals were super fresh, healthy, and delicious. I think CAVA is a step down from Zoes. It wasn't bad, but throwing everything into a bowl (Chipotle style) or a pita just isn't as appealing to me. The workers at the Lawrenceville location (Jennifer and Akeema) have consistently made my experience nothing short of amazing since the store opened. They recognize me by name and face and are always pleasant to converse with. 3. I love the in house made drinks, specifically the Blueberry Lavender Tea and Jasmine Tea. 4. I had been so excited to try this place as I had been to another location and it was wonderful. While the food at this location was great, everything else was absolutely horrendous. The employees behind the counter were rude, rolling their eyes and having attitudes the entire time while fulfilling orders. The employee handling the toppings was handling food without gloves and moving so incredibly slow-I have never seen anything like it. The sad part was that the other employees were rolling their eyes at her lack of speed instead of offering to help. The dining room itself was dirty, and the bathroom was one of the dirtiest I have ever been in-with things all over the floor, including urine. What an insanely disappointing experience. Had a great experience here! Ordered takeout last night for a late dinner around closing time. Our orders were made promptly and ready to pick up as soon as I arrived. The menu has a great selection, but I wish the app allowed for customized bowls. My entire family enjoyed their meals as the portion size was great for the cost and many add ons were free. When I found out there was a Cava near me I decided to go end of June on a weekend. 30 min drive from my home and won't go back anytime soon. The food selection is good until you realize almost every topping has a tangy taste. This is disappointing. But that's peanuts when you have a very serious concern about the staff. They appear listless, disinterested and their communication is tinged with attitude and borderline poor. This is supposed to be a cut above the ordinary fast food joints but the staff just don't cut it. I asked for a cup for water at the register and the girl just mumbled something inaudible, handed me a cup and charged me $3 plus.
