I also really like that the queso and guacamole aren't an upcharge and included for the toppings. I eat here more time a week than I should haha. I'm glad they have a good option for vegan and vegetarian. I usually get either a salad or a burrito (usually a salad though). I get the salad bowl with pinto beans, pico, mango salsa, guacamole and citrus vinaigrette. It's really filling and delicious! The service is always pretty good. It's set up like chipotle. You go down the line and get the base and toppings you pick, then you pay. A lot places follow that structure. read more

It's been about 6 months since we ate here. This was my "go-to" place for a burrito. A really full tasty burrito, on the verge of being overloaded. Today, the burrito was filled with roughly half the ingredients than our last visit. So bad that, with all the extra folding of the burrito, the dominant taste of the burrito was flour tortilla. How do you go from being the best burrito I've ever had to the worst? I understand costs have gone up but this is an awful way to deal with it. My wife enjoyed her bowl, which she says was a smaller portion but not as downsized as my burrito. Went in to order some pulled pork and guac. Got stuck behind some guy reading 10 orders off of his phone from other people. Saw the assistant manager standing behind the staff watching them scoop ingredients slowly, but not offering to jump in and lend a hand at helping the rest of the line. So then I went to the register, where the General Manager was standing idle as well, and asked him how much for a la carte pork and guac. He said it would be a simple burrito for $6. And I asked if it would come with any other ingredients for that price. He looked bothered by me asking and said "what do you mean, it's a simple burrito" . Finally, I got him to explain that it comes with 3 ingredients, therefore I could add one more at that price. And I pointed to the delayed line and said could I just get pork and guac, I'm in a hurry. He looked at me, dead pan, and said you'll have to get in line. This was my first visit to this chain and the first thing I noticed is that it bears a striking resemblance to Chipotle. In fact, the menu is essentially the same - but Qdoba doesn't sell beer. Though I will say, I like the decor and the atmosphere at Qdoba better. This particular location looks brand new - very clean and sleek. The tables and chairs look more higher end, even the floor is nice (Chipotle has that hipster "this looks like a factory that we turned into a restaurant" look). The actual menu is rather small. Basically either burrito or bowls. Maybe a taco (which is just a smaller burrito). Prices are a tad higher than Chipotle, but it's no biggie. Every time I come here there's hardly any customers, though. Even during what should be peak hours. And there's always old dudes working the counter. I assume they're the owners? Speaking of which, service is usually pretty good. They don't slurp you like the kids at CFA do, but they're not robots either like at Chipotle. Food has always been good. I don't notice much of a difference in taste or quality compared to Chipotle. Though that would make for an awesome blind taste test sometime! read more

5 stars for the food but 1 star for the service. It's such a shame because I have loved Qdoba ever since I lived in South Florida about a decade ago. There was one close to my house and I'd go all the time. The food was wonderful and it truly still is. At that location, the manager was so friendly and remembered me every time. The staff was always pleasant and smiling. Imagine how happy I was to find a Qdoba near me here in Sanford. I went about a month ago and was pleased with the food but the entire staff seemed miserable. I shrugged it off. I came back today and got a burrito and this will be my last time unless I find a new location to enjoy. The burrito itself was delicious, no doubt. It was the service I received from start to finish that made me decide there are other places where I can get my fix of tasty fast casual Mexican. The first member of the line asked what I wanted. I politely told her I'd have the burrito. She then asked me which type of rice I wanted and I told her, "No rice, please." Then she started to put rice on my burrito and I politely reminded her I didn't want any rice. She looked horribly annoyed and scraped it off. There were a couple grains on there but fine. I didn't see the point in making a fuss but I was disappointed with her attitude. She passed it to the next person in the chain and I felt like I was imposing on them to add ingredients. Aren't they included in the burrito? So, if you order online and pick it up waiting for you, you'll love the food here but this location really needs a revamp on customer service. Absolutely amazing customer service. I ate dinner at this location on Saturday night at around 7pm and every employee there was so patient and nice. I was with my family which included an elderly woman and a two year old so, ordering was not easy! The lady on the line was super patient and whom I believe was the shift manager helped us carry the food to the table since my hands where full. We will absolutely visit again. It's seems this restaurant is geared towards take out, eating in is AKWARD.. No trays, must ask for napkins and utensils.. Food was prepared well except green peppers in my Fajita Quesadilla were really crunchy, like they weren't cook enough.. Quesadilla was cut and packed into a small container which by the time I tried to eat was all molded together, I couldn't pull apart w had to eat it with a fork & knife. I ordered through doordash, figured I'd give this place a shot. I ordered the chicken queso *bowl* and a brownie. When it arrived, I got a chicken queso *burrito* and a cookie, and they charged $1.99 for a plastic fork. Not really sure what's up with that. Why would I need a fork for a burrito? Ridiculous price for a disposable fork, too. The food still tasted good I won't lie, but they messed up the order in every way possible which was a bit of a let down. We just ate here. And as of right now my review is this. 1. Perfect Casadilla. (Hot because they have to melt the cheese). 2. Steak burrito. I was given minimal steak. Minimal queso. I'd say 85% of the burrito is Rice. Tastes great but I think they turned off the warmers an hour ago. 3. Ground beef burrito. Again 85% rice. And room temperature beef. As I'm finishing up this review I want to give the benefit of the doubt for this place as it was close to closing time which was 45 minutes away when we ordered. Have been frequenting this location for the past 7 years: great place for a quick bite! Staff are always extremely cordial and always greet you with a smile. Food is above what you would expect from a chain restaurant, and it's very convenient for an after workout bite. I drive riiight past Qdoba, down Lake Mary Blvd., and over to Chipotle, where the food has never disappointed me like it always has here. They are usually busy at lunch, which confuses me, terribly! Not much flavor to their meats or salsa, dry rice, frequently stale chips. Meh, meh, meh. If they have some crazy-good coupon in the mail, I'll go for it, but only because I'm broke. The quality here does not seem up to par with the other fast casual "Mexican"-inspired food joints. Tijuana Flats, Chipotle, and even Moe's are superior to Qdoba. read more
