a receipt for a quality food center

A very rude cashier & a bag girl! I already had a bad experience before so I rarely go to this QFC, but I was in a hurry before hosting a lunch gathering so I made a quick stop to get a few things. It was a mistake; this particular cashier was not helpful when I asked a question regarding the sale item, and when she was done inputting items, she turned to face a bag girl (who bagged without asking me if I had a bag & argued with me) to make an unpleasant facial expression! It's puzzling what I did to deserve that kind of attitude. If she can't deal with ordinary people, this is not a place for her to work because she is ruining a lot of people's day!!! This experience will take a while to erase from my mind!!!

This is a nice location. It was extremely busy. The clerk cashier I had was very friendly and helpful. He had a great attitude. I didn't purchase any food. I went in for flowers to give to a friend in need. I would recommend this location. The floral department is small. Lots of fresh flowers to choose from. They also had fall arrangements and holiday as well. They have good prices and I enjoyed their selection.

My kingdom for late night shallots. QFC ingredients for KETO style balsamic dip for freshly shucked oysters.

Open 24 hours! Great selections and nice staff. Plenty of GF and organic choices, even in frozen foods :-)

The school I work at is near the QFC in Brier and I shop there regularly.

With a few minutes extra time on my hands this afternoon, Thursday 26 February 2026, I decided to…read morestop by Ballinger Thriftway and check it out. I was unsure of the offerings by the name and that I had not been before and found it to be groceries and household items. The diversity of offered items was depth within a particular item space. Seasonal items were also well presented. Looking for cards, I found some though they were on the pricey side per my experience. Looking to see it they had a small candy item, I found good variety and prices in the chocolate bar options. I chose a dark chocolate Chocolove chilies and cherries item that was less than $3.50. Checking out/payment was straightforward to navigate/use and the workers were quick and friendly.

The prices are insanely high, they are even higher than PCC for many items. The people that work there are a mix, some are super friendly and nice, but there are a couple weirdos that work there that make me turn around if I walk in and see it's only them working at the registers. Their names are Jimmie and Sam. Sam sells chocolate bars he makes at the store, or the store sells them? Any way, I don't eat chocolate bars or dairy and they are made with milk chocolate. And they are $7. I think it's great to support people, but I won't eat the chocolate bars and the store is already too expensive, so I'm not going to buy it and there is SO MUCH PRESSURE TO BUY THE CHOCOLATE. And Sam has a major attitude because I don't want to buy the stupid chocolate bars. Very passive aggressive. With rising costs everywhere the last thing I want is to be pressured to buy something I don't want at a grocery store when I'm just struggling to survive. And Jimmie is just a major weirdo. There are also a few older ladies that always have an attitude for no apparent. I'm a very friendly and polite person, but I'm also the customer so I shouldn't be the one greeting them and telling them to have a nice day while they basically tell me to f*** off. It's very much a small town vibe and I feel like an outsider the shouldn't be there. I am very grateful for Grocery Outlet opening near by so I mostly go there for last minute items and I avoid Thriftway at all costs because I don't want to be pressured into buying the stupid gross chocolate or deal with weirdos with attitude.

I benefitted from stores who would keep certain food items in stock so that if I would need that ingredient, I could easily grab it, pay for it, and then hurry back to cook. This particular store on 204th Street has become quite a repeated disappointment, because too much lately I come into this store, and they are out of the coffee that I need, seafood items I need to cook, and stocking their shelves happens, maybe yes, or it's empty. I asked for granulated onion, and there was NONE. I looked for meat and seafood bases, and they were either missing, or I grabbed the one last remaining one. Once I bought a 5 lb bag of IQF peeled, deveined shrimp without tail. I went back, there was none like it ever after my first purchase of the shrimp. I remember I had bought breaded oysters, and after coming back, there were none, I mean gone forever. I have also gone to restaurant supply houses that carry pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, and cooking utensils. This store had never had them that I can recall, Inventory control is a mess in this store. They need to keep a close record of what moves from the shelves, and then re-order accordingly. Having full shelves is a far better shopping experience than frequently empty shelves. Perhaps I will need to drive all the way down to the Broadview neighborhood store. It's a long drive from North Lynnwood, but I am getting sick and tired of shopping at this particular store.
