I really don't like three star reviews, but it's not a two-star place nor a four-star place. This QFC is a mini-Fred Meyer, in that they have many of the same products but half the selection and 1/3 of the stock. Prices are sometimes higher here for the same things. One thing I don't like about the Westwood Village QFC is the overall stoic, unhappy faces I see on the employees. Like, they really don't want to be there. Perhaps they are overworked, or just don't like to work, but I did not see one smiling face or get one greeting when I walked in--except by the security guard. Is it the pay, or the hours, or the job? What? It can't suck that bad. But anyway, I generally avoid going here unless I don't want to drive all the way to Fred Meyer. read more

key word/department: BAKERY/custom cake - many thanks to Susan. this was our 3rd year in a row getting our child's birthday cake custom ordered from this location's bakery, and the 2 years prior were obviously consistantly good enough quality to have us return for the 3rd year in a row. this year, we ordered a custom 3 layer white birthday cake with lemon filling, and it was Remarkable. folks at the party commented on it/inquired where it was from. the usual reasons folks don't like store bought birthday cakes, like superfluous icing, were mostly absent here, and white cake, notoriously dry and bland, was heavenly in consistency and flavor. no skimping on the lemon filling, either. it was a truly lovely, decadent cake, and we were all very appreciative. i wanted to give a shout out where it's due to this hardworking bakery. tips: don't order online. it's a good place to look for ideas, but do go in person to consult with the baker and decorator in advance. many options aren't available online. if ordering a 3 layer cake, have smooth transportation because the cake is taller than the cake box. There's something about a QFC that always feels sorta confusing. Like the OTC medications are with the ice creams. Welp, not this time. This location felt just straight forward and no frills. Which was perfect because I was in a rush to get to the airport with a pit stop at the house. Came midday and it was practically empty which makes me wonder how do they even make money? Plenty of staff around stocking, doing busy work, or ready to help. Asked two people for directions and both were happy to drop what they were doing to help. Got mostly non perishables and a few things produce. They tasted pretty fresh but there were a few ones that had seen better days. The place is clean and you'll easily find parking in their lot. read more

really gone down hill after the kroger buy out. they now make you enter one side and exit the other which is a huge walk if youre disabled. management is rude as all heck now. ive been going here since i was a baby and im so disappointed in the direction this has taken. they treat everyone like a criminal who is guilty until proven innocent. read more

A mgr told me they don't accept checks anymore, i think he lied to me because he just did not want to do the transaction. Because of repeated criticsms of my shopping wats between several mgrs, i will discontinue shopping this QFC location. They seem to think they are "upscale" but they are a very smalls store with very little to offer but lip service to customers. Will not shop again at this store. read more

I had really horrible interaction with this older lady at the flower section. She was extremely rude.

I really wanted to like this store. I buy things here that cost 15% more than Safeway, so when I use their app to try and recoup some of that $, it better effing work. My phone number hasn't worked for logging in a month. I've tried editing, deleting my account. Can't start a new one with my phone# and email because they're already in use. Today I had to claw back $20 off a couple items I bought, took an extra 15 minutes, rest of the line wasn't happy, since only 1 line was open. I just ate the other $10 I was suppose to save. Felt bad for the cashier, nice lady trying to deal with sh!tty grocery app with no support. read more

I took my nephew shopping, he is disabled. We go to self check out and the man working there approached us stating there are only four check out machines. No one was behind or in front of us, plus we didn't have a lot of groceries. My nephew was scamming his items as I bagged to make sure his bags weren't too heavy. He kept violating my personal space saying slick s@$#, interrupting our conversation telling us he gets off at 5pm. I asked him if he was threatening me and don't get mad at us for the career choice he made in life. We all have choices! I will NEVER shop at that QFC again and I don't recommend that store to anyone who is disabled trying to buy and check out in self check out. Years ago they had great produce. These days it's meh at best. As a customer with chronic illness I use their pickup service most often. It's not that great. Better than delivery or instacart but they've messed up my orders dozens of times. They don't carry pita bread weirdly enough. And they tend to discontinue popular items without warning. Like they suddenly stopped carrying the popular brand unsalted organic butter I've bought for years. No replacement product either. Whoever/whatever does the store ordering isn't good at it. If you ask them to carry a new item you'll just get pushback and excuses why they can't . The floor staff are the sweetest, nicest folks, though. Unfortunately there are rarely enough cashiers working so these poor workers are often overly tired. For whatever reason they seem to allow pets in the store not just service animals, which I find off-putting. read more

Tevionne in seafood/butcher was so helpful and nice!! I wish all the employees here were half as pleasant. I used to shop here a lot, but the experience has become so unpleasant over the last few years I've all but stopped coming here except in a pinch. Immediately following this positive experience, my checker was expectedly rude. But still, Tevionne gets you 5 stars!!!! He's the one I wanted to mention--refreshing experience in this otherwise not so great store. This store is such a mixed bag. It always seems to have stock issues. The parking lot is a nightmare. Most of the staff look mad and aren't friendly. The sortation of items even vs other QFC's in the area just seems odd. Invariably, on the times I stop here since I'm nearby and forget about the previous odd experiences, they tend not to have all the things I'm looking for. I went to this QFC at 6:30 PM last night and was told by one of the nastiest staff they have (Chris) that the carts are now locked up for the night and that we can only use the hand baskets after 6:00 PM from now on. He told me that if I didn't like it, I could go somewhere else -- and I did. This sounds crazy to me. I spend roughly $60 a day at the grocery store, and last night was no exception, other than the fact that I am no longer going to spend my money THERE. The problem is, Kroger has now bought Albersons/Safeway, meaning that if the deal goes through, people in the Seattle area will only have ONE grocery store to shop at, and they can do stupid crap like locking up their grocery carts and tell their customers to go pound sand -- and we would have no other choice than to put up with that kind of crap. read more

"Small but has what I need" Im saddened by all the negative post as this location has always been good to me. Conveniently located in Westwood Village, QFC has what I need when I need something quick. Its a small so after a couple of teips you will be able to remember where things are. Everyone seems nice to me as I tread them nice as well except for the one bigger gentleman that for some reason always looks at me in a judging manner I tried to buy something prior and telling him the prices is not ringing up correctly. I didn't think this short-staffed QFC could possibly get any worse, but after their recent remodel they somehow carry even less of a selection, and their prices have gone up $2 per item on average over the past month. At 6p Aug 19 I sat at the Deli waiting for service . I waited a few minutes , only one waiting as the 3 employees kept their head down ignoring me standing there. One Asian guy in the sushi and the other in the deli meats . They weren't helping anyone . I left to get other groceries and cane back. Still only one waiting and no one bothered to help me . Is snowing in Seattle, so I decided to go and get some food in QFC in case the weather gets worse. After a very stressful driving I feel like eating coffee and cake and I saw a cake that looks delicious on sale for $9.99 and I bought it. What a disappointment........ literally was impossible to eat, was so old and dry that I have to put it in the garbage. Apparently you can't take the shopping carts out of the store reliably??? Wheels lock at the door! I asked for assistance and was told this happened all the time, I have small children and depend on the cart caring my children and groceries to my car in the QFC parking lot. The assistant could not find the ONE wheel lock key wtf!!!! I then had to leave my cart loaded down with my purchased groceries in the middle of the front door to go put my kids in the car and pull the car up to load my groceries. The store assistant did not offer any assistance other the forty the key is lost!!!! Hmmmm I will definitely be shopping elsewhere, and would encourage you to as well!! Horrible costumer service. I went after work Friday night and it was a complete nightmare because there was only one checker working and we are stacked way into the aisle with 8 ppl in line waiting. They finally open a second cashier and I get my groceries just to realize later that they charged me for the next person's groceries which was over $100. I stopped by this location several times last week. I would order coffee at Starbucks and pick up a couple of donuts and from the QFC bakery while the (pour over) coffee was being made. Very friendly staff at both Starbucks and QFC. However, I stopped by one day around noon looking for hot food from the deli and the trays were empty and I didn't see anyone behind the deli counter. I came into this location today (4/30/19 3:30 PM) with a check written to QFC from NW Kidney Center in which they do for clients like me who are stage 5 terminal. They immediately assumed the check was fraudulent most likely because I am black & disabled. So they denied it without any kind of verification on the assumption I was a criminal. Even after requesting they call corporate and that request was denied. I have been going here for 2 years with the same checks but I guess I got the wrong cashier this time as well as assistant manager. Racism & prejudice is ugly, it makes people think they can shortcut procedure because they already know the answer. I hope they do better for the next disabled person of color. To be fair the GM did resolve the situation after being contacted by my social worker and 30 minutes of wasted time, he was nice and apologetic. read more

QFC is like Fred Meyer's older high maintenance sibling. The store is clean, has your essentials, a bit smaller, but prices are a bit higher. The location is near all the shopping in Westwood Village, which can build up a lot of congestion for parking lots. Speaking of parking lots, it is plentiful, but lines don't seem to exist. They're very faint. Folks at the prepared foods section was very attentive and friendly. I have been here a few times and has received good customer service. The aisles and produce section are a bit small, but will still have what you are looking for. You will need to bring your reusable bags, or else you will have to pay for them. There is a self check out line for those who are quick and have a few items. Overall, a nice place to get groceries in the neighborhood. read more

Stood at the deli with at least 5 employees looking dead at my face and ignoring me until finally 1bof them asked, "hello ma'am, have you been helped?" We got jokes huh?! I said no sir. Watch out for this location. Charged sugar tax on sugar-free item (sugarless energy drink). Refused to remove it, even though charging it is illegal. Manager didn't offer any form of reconciliation nor did they indicate any intent to correct the error. I was not unreasonable nor abusive nor disrespectful, but got the snarky "have a nice day" on my way out. Complete lack of customer service awareness. read more

This QFC in West Seattle is kinda sad. It's small, the deli is not the best, and it's expensive. Being open 24 hours is a bonus and I think it's only redeeming quality. If you like QFC, take the time to drive to the other location in West Seattle near the Junction. I came in here with a friend who lives nearby to grab some pain medication for him, and they didn't have the brand he wanted. We went to get a snack, and the choices in the deli were far and few between. It was 9:30 pm and super picked over with not much to choose from at all. The security guard staring at everyone at the checkout lanes gave out a weird vibe. I've never seen security in a grocery store. Says a lot. read more

This QFC is close to me, so I use it for convenience items. Generally, they are a bit pricey, but you can really score some good deals if you watch the sale and flyer items. Bonus: the wine department is awesome. They have even special ordered me things and called to other QFCs to find some wine that I wanted. read more

I usually love this store but their procedures for covid are a bit disorganized. It used to be they wouldn't allow you to put groceries on the conveyor belt until sanitized, then they stopped, now they want only one person's groceries on the belt at a time. Use a sign or something, cause some teller named Chandler was rude about it then decided to give me some of the poorest customer service the rest of the time. read more

I do not know what happened to this store. I was in a couple of days ago, and it was absurd. None of the produce stockers would move for me, no one was staying six feet apart, and they had one checker but a whole lot of self-checkout spots, so a huge line behind the one checker. No one offered assistance, and the poor checker was the nicest lady ever but I could tell she was overwhelmed. It really freaked me out at those produce people were in a big cluster and I couldn't even get through. Not going there again. read more

This QFC is ok, the only thing that keeps my husband and I coming back to this location is "the meat department man"! (I believe his name is Andy) He is always so positive and full of energy. He is knowledgeable about the meat cuts and always has a smile on his face. We appreciate Andy's positive energy during these troubling times. They can't manage to keep some items stocked on the shelf and blame the product vendor who in turn blames them. Their day manager goes into screaming fits if you say a swear word and begins yelling at you saying "you don't talk to a woman that way". Six months of asking for them to please stock the shelf and they don't care, swear once and the world has ended. This store has no concern for customers. UPDATE: this store was very slow in addressing issues, but after a year of requesting the same thing, they finley keep things stocked on the shelf and have been much more helpful in the past few months. They have improved enough for me to raise my rating. read more

OKAY, so I cook a lot. But I'm a new cook. Been doing it for less than a year. The combo of ex-girlfriend and mom (and ex-girlfriend's mom!) has made it too easy for me never to bother to learn. Now I'm here, in West Seattle, kind of alone and putting on loads of weight from eating Jack-in-the-Box every day. So I start to learn to cook. QFC has had pretty much every ingredient for every new dish I've wanted to try, and I love them for it. Its a nice store, with nice people working in it. The white-haired butcher that works in the back got wind that I couldn't find french-friend onions (for my first ever casserole! YEAH!) and ran around the store looking for the things. I've never seen a guy more determined to be helpful. When there was that insane rush of people shopping during Snowpocalypse 2008, the lines were epic. Everyone who could finally drive again was grocery shopping. And then there were carolers, walking around the store singing to the people who were waiting in line. Mind you, I don't usually care for over made-up men in Dickensian outfits trying to make eye-contact with me while they sing in a nice falsetto, but I thought it was nice. I'm gonna assume that QFC hired them on to do that. Also, their website is super-awesome for pre-planning what I'm gonna shop for. Wow. I have never had such bad service at a grocery store. I was in a hurry to get back to work on my lunch break and am new to a gluten-free/anti-inflammatory diet. I decided to get some lunch meat from the deli and veggies to make "American sushi." (I just wrap meat around avocados, cucumbers, carrots, whatever I feel like and slice into sushi rolls.) The person in the deli was talking to a friend while I was patiently waiting. While she was laughing with her friend, she put her hands (with protectant gloves on) from the countertop, wiped her nose while laughing, and then emptied a bag of lettuce into it's bin. Yuck. I gave her two minutes and then I asked politely if I could be helped. She looked around, looked at me and the people behind me with an attitude and, without saying a word, went into the back. I saw an employee walking by (which happened to be the store manager -John.) I asked him to help us. He didn't smile or say anything customer-service oriented such as, "I'd be happy to." He just said, "Uhhhhhhm, let me find someone who can help you." And disappeared. I went to Trader Joe's and was in and out in minutes. I can understand that everyone has their bad days and maybe something was going on in the back that was more important than the customer. On the other hand, this sadly is not the first time I've had bad service here. It will, however, be the last time. read more

I would love to write an amazing review about QFC at Westwood Village but I cannot. This store seems like everyone who works there is miserable and it reflects on the service you receive. The shelves are always half-stocked or out. The deli is one of the worst. I've been told by QFC employees that they are short staffed due to lake of employees. I get harassed for change by 3 homeless people before I even step one foot in the store. The managers tell me it's not their problem and that its Westwood Village's problem. Take control of your business!!!!! Smile and serve your customers!!!! The quality of the products are in question at times too. Often my milk goes sour in just two days and after he bread I purchase there goes moldy quick. It's too bad I am writing this post and I feel awful to an extent for this but it is true. This is def by far a mixed review for me. For starters I have been coming here for about 13 years and I loved it growing up. I worked at this location for about 2 years and it was okay still but ever since 2019 this place has slowly gone downhill. The service isn't as great as it once was. Only great thing they have done in the last year or so is the remodel. It still is my favorite QFC location and I will always shop here but it is slowly slipping and I hope it gets better :( read more
