My Family recently gathered in Arizona to Celebrate Our Mother's 90th Birthday. Being foodies and some of us serious COOKS we dreaded the idea of searching for a Caterer to prepare a meal that we thought we may be able to pull off ourselves. Well, Chef Terry assured me that we would be pleased and he did not disappoint. The ribs were succulent, well seasoned, and falling off the bone. The Tri-tip beef was moist and of great quality, as was the grilled chicken. The Shrimp Alfredo had our guests coming back for seconds and thirds because it was so delish. Let's not forget the bottle of BBQ Sauce that I am still enjoying today....EVERYONE at the party, especially the Honoree, My Mommy, talked about how excellent the food was, and how did I find out about Chef Terry and Q-Fire. Terry BBQ'd tenderoin, rib eye steaks, and salmon along with 2 cold and 2 hot appys (the bacon wrapped scallops were to die for). It was really a great event. Once the steaks were done he cut the bone off and walked around with bones for people to munch on. The food was awesome and so was the staff. Terry was SUPER easy to deal with and had great communication throughout. He came to my house 2 weeks prior to make sure there were no surprises when he got here. We ordered catering for a 15-person bachelor party at an Airbnb rental property in Scottsdale. The food was absolutely delicious - brisket, pork chops, some of the BEST mac & cheese we've ever had (usually the noodles will get really mushy with a large tray - not the case here!) and great peach cobbler. Service was on-point from the point of sale, communicating with the staff for invoicing / coordinating delivery, and delivery was on time down to the exact minute. The woman who delivered our food even helped us get the oven to the right temperature to keep some of the meats warm. 11/10 experience highly recommend to anyone. Terry cooked up a feast for my bachelor party and delivered it right to our backyard of the Airbnb. Food was amazing!!! We got the brisket, the bbq chicken, mac n cheese, broccoli, and baked beans. The brisket was cooked perfectly and was more fatty pieces (which is great for me cuz thats my preference). The chicken was actually more of a hit with my party than the brisket. They made it very easy to coordinate and make payment for our company (Chanen Construction Company, Inc) Chili Cookoff and BBQ employee picnic. Do not book with them. There are so many catering companies that have delicious food, why settle with one that has horrible customer service? We booked our October wedding with them. Terry was very nice until we signed the contract. After that, he did not respond to my email. He told us we would be able to do our tasting at the bridal show. We confirmed with him that we would do it then. We show up to the bridal show and there was only pulled pork to sample. After we brought this up with him, he suggested that he did not say that we could do our tasting there. I brought up the email on the phone and he got extremely defensive. Fast forward to our wedding, they arrived an hour late from the time that was on our CONTRACT. They pulled up screeching during the middle of our outdoors CEREMONY. Our food was also served AN HOUR LATE. Then, even though we had discussed with them the night before doing a trivia game to call up tables to the buffet(Terry actually was the one that suggested this), they did not do this when the time came. Thankfully, our awesome officiant jumped in to do it for us. After the wedding, I called Terry to thank him for the food because I am a polite person. Then I mentioned how they showed up late and didn't apologize, he became extremely defensive again. We unfortunately never received an apology, only insults over the phone. It wasn't until I sent him the contract again after this phone call that he apologized for showing up late via a rude email. Two months late, I left a review on their facebook page because I honestly believe other brides should know about both good and bad experiences. The review was deleted promptly and I was sent a NASTY email and facebook message from Terry threatening to be sued if I leave another review. Here it is: "Why would you go on to the BBQ Daddy Page and make up that horrible review? The very first thing you told me when you called me was "Thank you" and that my servers were very polite and did a good job and everyone loved the food. Your only complaint was that we were late and the van pulled up during your ceremony. And we were definitely NOT hours late. How could we be HOURS late if we showed up during the ceremony??? You're right, my staff did not show up at the "Arrival" time, that was on the contract. However, we were up and ready to serve by the designated "service time", the main entree and apps were ready to eat according to the contract. All of your guest ate, almost everyone got seconds and everyone complimented the food. By no means did I or will I every call any a liar. that is completely FALSE We delivered all of your equipment the night before your ceremony and picked it up after hours. Saving you HUNDREDS of dollars in delivery fees from ANYother company. I kept wide open communication 100% of the time. I even paid for your parking fee at the bridal show. If I read one more post or review from you that is NOT the absolute truth I promise I will sue you for slander immediately. I'd advise you to remove any other false reviews about BBQ Daddy Catering off the internet if there are any. There will be no more emails from me. You will absolutely hear from my attorney if necessary." By the way, I paid money for delivery fees. They didn't go above and beyond for delivery, I paid for it. read more

Terry catered our wedding this week and did a wonderful job. The food was amazing. We had brisket, pulled pork and grilled mahi-mahi and all were sooooo good. All of our guest raved about the food. Mac and cheese and ice cream bar were huge hits as well. And can't forget that hot sauce. Service was also fantastic. Terry was very friendly and funny! Terry and BBQ Daddy is amazing! His food is amazing, but he's also very professional and easy to work with. We had no idea how much food to order, and he guided us through that, but it never felt like he was trying to upsell us. His prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality of food. He arrived early to the venue and got everything set up perfectly (we used them for dinnerware as well) with no issues. The service was very efficient, people weren't in line long at all. Our guests loved the food! People were having seconds (and thirds!) and raving about it all. The mac and cheese, corn bread, and meats were all a big hit. We had a bit leftover which we were allowed to take home in our containers. They cleaned up quickly, the expense of dinnerware was so worth the convenience of them bussing the tables for us. We used The BBQ Daddy to cater a surprise birthday party for my dad's 70th. The entire process - from choosing the foods, to reserving the services, to the staff at the event - was an absolute pleasure, and they were friendly and professional from start to finish. My dad LOVES BBQ, so we though this was a no-brainer. We then thought about who was coming to the party, and realized we had some real, southern, true "bbq country" folks coming in, and started to get nervous that they wouldn't be overly thrilled about the food. Let me tell you... EVERYONE was absolutely blown away by the taste! The ribs absolutely melted in your mouth, the chicken legs perfectly pulled off the bone, the Tri-Tip was to die for! Coleslaw, potato salad, even the corn bread was totally amazing. If you want some delicious BBQ, these guys are the ones to go with. But The BBQ Daddy takes it a step further than that. We were treated (from the very first phone call), as if we were their only customer - that type of customer service isn't easy to provide. My husband and I set out to find a caterer for our wedding who would create amazing food and be willing to cart it up to our summer camp wedding in Payson, AZ. The BBQ Daddy was the first and only caterer we met with! We loved Terry and Tiffany, from the beginning of the process to the final minutes before they packed up at the wedding. We booked our catering service for approximately 9 months in advance, the day after we signed the contract our venue fell through. I contacted Terry from the catering service but he said we were not able to cancel catering services. I understand contracts, but I also work with my sales and customer support teams, as a program manager and I know that as Terry is the owner of the company he could have made adjustments under the circumstances. He gave us a full year to use the money deposited but with the rest of the stress that comes into wedding planning the last thing we anted to do was arrange our wedding around catering. The same thing happened with our DJ and he was more than happy to return the deposit minus the transaction fee. We tried booking him again because he was so understanding and seemed great to work with but once we got the plan figured out unfortunately he was unavailable. With the catering service we ended up having to spend the amount deposited which was $1000. We order as much as we could and hosted a party at our house so the food wouldn't go to waste. When the food was delivered the green beans were grey instead of green, the meat didn't look great but the mac and cheese was good. I would not recommend. read more

Not only did they show up with cold food that was supposed to be hot and wilted salads and a bag of cheese that was supposed to be a platter they did not even bring the entire order, nor the silverware, plates or utensils. This was my wedding and I had to order pizza from Barros so my guests had something to eat. I called Terry's cell and their answering service and did not even get the courtesy of a return call. Had them for my wedding . Well all started great . But soon after final payment it went down hill! Started with trying to pass of cheep dollar store napkin and forks and knifes for what we had order! We payed 200 for cloth napkins and real forks and were told that he drop them off . But we had to pick up and napkins did't show up till the day of ! Then we were told that his people would set up tables . Well that did't happen as well. The he said he help release tables that did't happen! Did't talk to dj so people never got appetizers. This review is for BBQ Daddy Place Event Venue only, located at 613 S. Central Ave. in Phoenix. I was a guest at a Baby Shower event. It was very disappointing to be sure. The a/c was not running so for starters it was very very hot in there, I guess it was set to not turn on until the following day. The kitchen was very unclean, everywhere. So in future would not use any catering from this kitchen. We did have to use it to assemble our food items we brought with us. The refrigerator smelled really bad and was not clean. There were no cleaning items for us to clean for ourselves, that we could find. When my daughter and Pregnant Momma arrived to start decorating at 9:oo there was someone there painting the front door, so guests had to use the back door, very unappealing back there. Floors were very dirty. I really cannot say this place even deserved a star to be honest. Also for the high cost, I cant quote that one because very luckily I did not pay. I could add a few more things but I will run out of room. Also very costly and very dissapointing to say the least. Come on Mr BBQ I think you need to step it up!!....
