I was so excited to finally try the new location for QPV and it did not disappoint. The dining area is spacious with plenty of additional seating outside. The back bar is a work of art with the beautiful lighting and the finishes on the building are aesthetically beautiful. The food is just as amazing as in their other location. I love the Carnitas pizza , it has always been my favorite. We also shared the quesadilla and of course had a few of their amazing craft drinks. The service is always great, their employees are all professional and friendly and the food is always perfectly crafted and delivered quickly. What a cute spot! We went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. The staff were nice and offered suggestions to explore. Carlos helped us out and was very attentive. We were really looking forward to this place because of social Media reels. Well, we went. The place is cute.Server was ok. First off... we went on a Friday when it JUST opened. It was just us and a small family in the entire place. It's was a mess after that. While we waited... we saw alcohol being delivered through front door.. on top of HEB groceries to include a cake. Just deliveries in general, while restaurant is open... through front door. We got a free dessert slice of cake (aka the heb cake we just saw..) Asked for bill.. the waitress just told us the total and put machine in front of us to pay. No itemized bill. Just the total. Not a single manager or anyone other than server bothered to say anything to us. Came here after eating for drinks. The vibe is chill like a whiskey lounge; the low lights and smoky air made me feel like I was in a log cabin in front of a warm fire (actual fire pit outside). We came to watch Spurs. Were told by staff that outside music would be turned off so we could hear the game from neighboring bars. Been here for over an hour and a helf. We wanted to order food, but servers stated that we were next in line 45 minutes ago. We have no choice, but to leave. Our group is 6, would have easily spent 800 tonight. But I guess they do not need our money. I expect to see this place closed down within 6 months, if the owner doesn't pay attention and make some changes. I own restaurants. A really nice place to go and enjoy a wood fired pizza. Outside they have a patio and many customers enjoying food and wine. We sat inside which was nice as well. Service was good and not hovering so we really were able to enjoy conversation without being asked if we were good every 5 mins. Very disappointing experience. The waiters were rude from the start and refused to let the two of us sit at an empty table closer to the TV so we could watch the Spurs game. Their excuse was that they wanted to save it in case a group of four might walk in, even though the restaurant was empty and there were no customers waiting. Instead of taking care of the paying customers already there, they chose to prioritize imaginary customers who never showed up. Their rude attitude and lack of basic hospitality made the whole situation even worse. We were treated like an inconvenience instead of valued guests. We had a great time on a Saturday afternoon at Queso Pan y Vino. We enjoyed a couple bottles of Chardonnay and the appetizers. The Queso was delicious and the chorizo was not super greasy. The board had a nice variety of cheeses, manchego, smoked Gouda, port wine derby and a goat. The cured chorizo was phenomenal. I found the prosciutto sliced a little on the thick side, so it wasn't a melt in your mouth experience. Our server was perfect, she greeted us at the door, sat us, and took care of us during the entire visit. I loved the decor on the inside, rustic, but chic. The outdoor patio is cute with a more modern feel. I do look forward to visiting again to try some pizza. The aromas coming from the kitchen were amazing. read more

You can tell the team was trying to give good service but I am not sure they are explained, or taught, how to do so. The food was not made correctly. Charcuterie board has very thick "slices" of meat. Pizza made with non traditional ingredients and very, very, dry crust. Not a lot of flavor unfortunately. The worst experience I've ever had! Visited this establishment for the very first time. I walked in with a drink. It was First Friday and I was immediately told I needed to throw the drink away or leave. Before I could even finish informing him that I needed to tell my friends who were inside, I was in the patio, that I had to wait outside the property, I was literally being manhandled by a very angry and aggressive manager who grabbed my arm and put his hand on my back and pushed me off the premises. I wasn't resisting. I was just trying to finish a sentence however I was not allowed to do so. He then told me to call the cops. That was weird. I don't understand the reason for his behavior. I was not intoxicated or impaired in any way. I simply was not allowed to finish explaining that I needed to tell my friends I would wait for them off the premises before I was physically and very forcefully pushed outside the patio entrance. I don't understand why this person felt he had to put his hands on me at all. It was extremely disgusting and unprofessional. It was assault. If this is the way customers are treated upon entry, it's amazing they're still in business. It is never OK to put hands on anyone. The ice cube slipped out of my hand and I broke the glass, the "owner" took it back and never brought me one nor did he tell me why he wasn't going to bring me one. Essentially moral of the story, i paid for my experience through and through and was mislead. Not a very welcoming place! We arrived at 9:00 pm and the entrance had a sign that said STOP! Ring bell. A lady came to the door, unlocked and said yes?? We asked if we could come in for a drink. Their pizza varieties are so unique and let me say some of the best I've had. We had the chorizo pizza and I thought since chorizo is usually greasy the pizza would as well but I was pleasantly surprised. There was no grease in sight and the pizza was amazing. But it's beyond delicious, they have a brick oven and the pizza comes out perfect (non-pictured, a margarita pizza also perfect); we ordered the Baked Brie and it was just as I like it, crusty, meaty, goey. And special mention to the Tequila Old-Fashioned! (And non-pictured, a delicious flan!) Eric, Unsure if he is the owner/chef or Bartender in chief, but he said he made the menu (again unsure if the whole menu or the drink menu, I should've asked... my bad), obviously great at recommending drinks! I'm so glad we ended trying this place out. We had a blast. The staff was super friendly and the bartender was the best. He came up with six craft cocktails on the spot. We just told him what we wanted and he mixed it up. No one was disappointed. They also have a good variety of wines to choose from. Some are by the glass and some only by the bottle. For food, we shared a board, a salad and two pizzas. The charcuterie board (the large one) was big enough for four of us. It has three different types of cheese, walnuts, fruit, deli cuts, olives, pickles and a yummy preserve. It comes with perfectly toasted bread We ordered their version of caprese salad. It was interesting. It has green tomatoes and cilantro. Very tasty. The pizzas were delicious. The crust was perfectly crisp. My favorite was the margherita. Parking can be difficult. They don't have a parking lot. You can park on the street. There is a pay lot very close on the same street. They have inside and outside seating. What an experience! I thought I knew what QPV was all about before our dinner from a thorough Yelp search, but I didn't realize just how delightful Mexican and Italian fusion can be. Not to mention their cocktails are downright delicious - I loved the cucumber margarita so much that I ordered two and my husband had the best old fashioned he's had in a long time. For our appetizer, we couldn't pass up on the baked Brie which was an incredible combination of both sweet and savory featuring fresh fruit, jam, carmelized honey, and italian seasoned crostini. We were then graced by the presence of our barbacoa pizza - imagine homemade tomatillo salsa in place of tomato sauce with plenty of avocado held together by a lightly charred crust. Amazing. Overall a great experience...they have a strict covid protocol and won't allow anyone inside(literally lock the door). Once you're allowed in, you have to sanitize your hands. The locked door protocol was great but it also gave the perception of bad service. There was a group in front of us who had said they waited some time before someone showed up outside and they had been waiting 15 minutes. It was a Saturday night when we went so the place was at capacity. They do have outdoor seating which is a plus for sure. Once seated, we ordered a full bottle of wine, the capresita salad, the small charcuterie, and the barbacoa pizza. Being Mexican and growing up eating barbacoa on Sunday's as a tradition def made my mouth water upon reading it on the menu. It was great! Would ask for some more salsa on the side tho, the base has some salsa verde and each slice of barbacoa pizza has a slice of avocado on top. The service once seated was excellent. Some of the people eating there and well the people who would get turned off once told the wait was 40-45 minutes provided some nice entertainment. We witnessed a dude trying to fight one of the waiters cause he apparently wanted to buy the waitress a shot. C'mon now, who's gonna take a shot during working hours(unwillingly)? Also witnessed a drunk chick walk out, panting, repeating "they lost my f***** debit card!! They lost it! I can't, please someone find my f****** debit card!" Also, her boyfriend apparently also lost her car, so there was some confusion as to whether she meant to say car or card.
