I love bubble tea! This was the best bubble tea I have ever had. I got the mango and my friend got the green tea. They are creamy and perfect. The boba are chewy but soft. The texture of the drink was smooth with a strong flavor but not overly sweet like most other places. I love bubble tea as a treat and this will be the place I'll be going to. read more

So delicious! Their boba tea is awesome and so are all the pastries. Melon cake and red bean buns are tasty. I like it better than tai pan.

In terms of cakes and bakery goods: yes! Highly recommend. In terms of bubble tea drinks: meh. Before this was really the only bubble tea place in the area so we frequented there. After having bubble tea in cali and Chicago I don't think I will ever get another drink there. They make the drinks with powder and the bubbles are small so your drink freezes them and makes them hard :/ This place is great for mocha cakes, fruit cakes, siopao, and egg tarts. I love QQ's bubble tea. I've had bubble tea since I was a small child, and in several different states and major cities. Nothing compares. And the pastries are pretty awesome too. Everything's just so cheap and tasty, and that's just something rare to find when you want both quality and quantity. read more

Went here today for some pastries and bubble tea. The Jasmine bubble tea is very, very good, and the tapioca is not too soft nor too firm. I tried a few different pastries and they were each delicious. My two gripes are: Cash only and there is hardly any room to sit in the cafe. It gets busy in there! Food is fresh and pastries are affordable. For three pastries and the bubble tea I paid between $5-$6. read more

The food here is fantastic. I've been back four times in the past week and a half to try different things. The Chicken Curry pastry is delicious, the pull apart buns are slightly sweet with a buttery bottom that makes them delicious all on their own. The sesame balls with red bean paste are bigger than I am used to but are addictive once you start eating them. And the bubble tea? My whole reason for going. So delicious. It isn't on the menu but a green tea smoothie with tapioca is my drink of choice, only because the bubble tea is so good that I drink it way too fast. Small place on the corner of Dequindre and 13. Being Asian and have tried many bakeries in NY, Toronto, LA, San Francisco, Hong Kong... It is the best in the Detroit Metro area. Prices are reasonable and portions are large!! Also has bubble tea and custom made cakes for all occasions. read more

Went here for bubble tea, and it was amazing! Small place, great prices (at least on bubble tea)... you can also get bubbles in most of their other drinks too! If you are a fan of Bubble Island in Ann Arbor, and want more of it near home, this place is great! I can't say anything on the food yet as I have not had it. read more

I absolutely love this hidden gem. Its located in a plaza between a bunch of other tiny oriental shops. Their bubble tea is my absolute favorite. Among my favorites are taro, thai, and the lychee with jelly bits. So delicious! Also, their baked goods are pretty amazing. The only thing I have tried from there that I did not like was their cheesecake. The only other inconvenience is that they accept cash only. This bakery is located in the same shopping center as the Kim Nhung grocery and Pho Hang restaurant; so it's an easy place to buy asian baked specialties; whenever you're in that center. It's a family owned bakery and we also talk a bit whenever we visit. They once even gave us (generous) slices of their mango cake to try; when I was visiting with some family. My family really likes their baked and regular steamed 'Siopao, Red bean buns,Taro buns,Steamed rice cake (Puto aka Pak Kong Toh) and my late Grandma loved their sponge cake (Mamon). They offer you the bakers dozen (if you buy 12 items; you'll get the 13th free). I think for the size of the bakery, they offer a great variety of products. Their fruit cakes (asian style cakes with cream and fruit betwixt sponge cake layers) and rolls cakes (pandan, chocolate, taro etc.) are very popular items for family gatherings etc. I recommend stopping by whenever you're in the neighborhood. I really prefer their style of buns, steamed rice cake versus the kind from Tai Pan bakery. QQ's prices are very reasonable too and generally lower than Tai Pan's prices. As this is a bakery, cash payment is expected. Maybe they might accept checks/cards for special orders etc., but you'll have to call and inquire about it yourself to be sure. I discovered QQ Bakery a couple of years ago (I can't believe it has taken me this long to write a review!) with some friends. One of them had heard about it from a classmate, and we decided to check it out. And we quickly fell in love! I've yet to find something there I don't like. My favorite is probably their crispy pork and cucumber buns. Everything there is super cheap, save for the really decorative cakes, which we did splurge on once (it was amazing!) If you're unfamiliar with Asian-style deserts like red bean buns, egg tarts, and mango cookies; this is a great place to try out a few. Red bean buns, and pork buns are my favorite. I went to Q Q bakery today and ordered a smoothie thai tea(price not on board) and honeydew boba(3.25). they made me a regular thai tea(2.00) and got the honeydew correct. So i told them that they got my thai tea wrong.(with an attitude on their face, as if it was my fault) They said they charged me for a regular thai tea when it was suppose to be 5.25 all together if i had gotten a regular thai tea, but they really charged me 6.50. when they finally made a smoothie thai tea, i told them i paid 6.50 and the guy who gave it to me said that it was 7.50 for the 2 bobas. I am not upset for paying the extra dollar, but I am upset for them not accepting their mistake without an attitude towards me. I am not coming back here ever again. customer service is horrible when taking responsibility to their own hands and lying to me. I would have been okay if they charged me an extra dollar for wasting the thai tea, but lying to a customer is not the way to go. read more

Umm amazing bubble tea. Not many places in the area have bubble tea anymore but this place does it right and to perfection! Love it!

QQ is definitely worth your time! Their buns are moist and delicious, and I personally recommend the coconut custard bun. But despite having super yummy baked goods, their bubble tea is just okay. Not great, not awful. It's no Bubble Island, but if you need a quick fix close to home, it'll get the job done. Moreover, their customer service is always great and their prices are very inexpensive. Overall it's a place you should definitely try out! read more
