I've visited this nail salon before and never had a negative experience, which is why this visit was so disappointing. I came in for what I thought would be a simple soak-off service. Instead, the technician used a drill and filed my natural nails down extremely thin almost to the last layer which left them feeling very brittle and sensitive afterward. What was most confusing was that even after drilling my nails down so low, there was still noticeable nail product left on parts of my nails, particularly toward the top. I didn't understand why so much of my natural nail needed to be removed while the remaining product was not fully taken off. As a result, my nails now feel weak and damaged. This experience was very different from my past visits, and unfortunately I don't think I want to go back after this experience not sure if it was the nail tech or if this is how everyone is. read more

I went in to get my eyebrows waxed but they decided to wax on my upper lip and the wax was extremely hot on my lip and it burned my lip. I Called the Establishment and they wanted to give me a $30 gift card. Even after I showed them a picture of the damaged they cause to my skin. So I've been coming here consistently ever since December when I had a better experience at this place. The last time I was here, I finally did SNS. I had done SNS prior at another nail place because I had a gift card but I can honestly say the other nail place, not only did one of the nail polishes chipped entirely off one nail, but another nail it chipped off and you can easily see the lifting as well. When I had come into LZ nails for a SNS manicure, my nails had literally lasted me almost 3 weeks now and there is absolutely no lifting and you can just feel and tell it was entirely better experience. I used to go here a lot, but stopped because of bad quality. Recently, tried it once more, and while the service was great and everyone is very pleasant, the facility is very clean, the quality is still off. I got my nails done on 5/30. Today is 6/8, only 9 days later and I am finding that my nails are chipping and my natural nails are separating from the actual SNS. Don't know if my nails weren't prepped correctly or what happened, but this isn't the first time. Only giving the salon a 3, instead of 1 star, because the people that work there (Ray, Peter, Judy, etc) are genuinely nice and provide great service, in person and over the phone. read more

I have gone to LZ a few times and I am never disappointed. I have seen Vicki and today a younger man ( wish I got name) ( green mani) everyone I see always does such a great job. I never feel rushed at all. My friend went with me and this is her third time seeing Lisa and she raves about her( red mani) A man greeted us so nicely at the door and gave us some time to choose colors. I will say we made appointments and I think that's important to note. While I was in today, I saw a few people give the staff a hard time when they were walk ins and couldn't been seen right away. The man working the front did his very best to accommodate everyone. This is now going to be the place I go when I need my nails done. I've been getting my nails done by daphne for the past 5 years or so and always tipped her well, all of a sudden her attitude and work has become trash. Nails have been breaking before they should and she no longer puts any effort. I've had multiple issues at this salon and will gladly list them. 1. The lady with the little orange bob cut did my Gel pedicure so fast you would have thought she was in a pedicure contest, I tipped her $5 when I shouldn't have and she had the nerve to be upset. A gel pedicure shouldn't be done in 10 minutes. 2. The owners behavior is absolutely disgusting and will never take accountability when wrong is done. I did a bright neon pink pedicure and when I went home and showered, i noticed black blotches on all my toenails. I went back to get it redone and they tried to say my toe Nails were black and that's why, meanwhile they weren't when the polish was removed. The nail polish was no good. 3. I brought my mother to get SNS done, the outcome was absolutely horrible. I made them take it off and the owner had the nerve to say nothing was wrong. I don't do nails and could have done better than that. 4. My niece had a 12:30pm appointment today which was booked two weeks ago. Upon arrival they were shocked to see her because they cancelled the appointment themselves, no one called and canceled it. Now they have the nerve to be upset the showed up for an appointment that was never canceled by her mother. Im not one to do reviews and this is my first review I've ever done. I should start by saying they have the most extensive color selection for the SNS powder that I've seen in a long time! Well this used to be my go to salon until today. I went last night and had my nails done. Just a sns gel powder. The woman did HORRIBLE! Didn't want to cut my cuticles. Rushed and did it within 25 minutes when normally I'm there about 45. Cut under neath my nails. Top half of my nail not covered...Went info and spoke with Peter and told him I needed them redone and not be charged because of how bad they look. He said ok no problem. Got them done by Kiki, phenomenal job! Then they charged me $25! I've now had it. I'm a very frequent customer and to be charged when THEY messed up. It's disgusting. I wouldn't have minded paying $10 but $25 when it's originally $35! I will find somewhere else that appreciates there frequent customers, even though I don't want to because I love this salon but clearly they don't appreciate my business. Tried again today 11/26/23 * HORRIBLE! Cici didn't pick the color I chose which I said and she said no it's right. Not even close. I said to cut my nails as they were too long, I cut later. Nope never happened. I paid and went to leave and demanded a tip, I said absolutely not. This was the worst mani pedi I've ever gotten in my life. Are manicures and pedicures not supposed to be relaxing? My pedicure took not even ten minutes, that's how rushed it was with Lily. And then for my manicure, I thought it must have been a prank the way she would graze the tools across my fingers but not actually use them? And how she dipped my hands in the water for all of five seconds, and wiped the oil off after three seconds? I didn't even have her paint my nails, that's how aggravated I was at that point. I've never not left a tip for any beauty service in my life, but today was my first time. I was so kind when I walked in there too, so it really just feels like a slap in the faceIt would be funny if they didn't charge me $35 for that experience. I was sooooo excited to come here especially because of the awesome hours and yet soooo disappointed shortly after. The place was super busy which I never mind because if I go to a nail salon I know I'll have to wait a bit. However I didn't expect to wait 45 minutes until my feet would get done. Now, they're all on point with gloves and mask & require everyone to wear it even though the mandate is over. Which is perfectly ok with me! Keeps us all safe. There is a pretty big staff here too - to match the size of the place. I've liked everyone that I've received serviced from thus far - my favorite people are Stephanie & Linda. Stephanie you can talk to - if you're into chatting & Linda is quiet but super sweet. They're all nice. Just I like those two if I can get them when we visit. This place offers the works when it comes to nails - According to my wife. They do eyebrows, waxing, massages, and whatever else nail spas tend to do. I highly recommend you make an appointment before visiting. They're always busy & appointments are always handled first. They take credit cards / NFC / Apple Pay. They also have a reward system. I arrived at 1230 on Friday the 21st... I did not have an appointment but was seen within moments of my arrival. My pedicure was done first came out great and the girl did an awesome job. Now for fingers is a whole other story. I was given probably the oldest employee in the place. It felt like years went by while he was doing my nails. I got a UV gel fill in. Slow as molasses, he begins to paint my nails and it's all bumpy and uneven. I tell him that it doesn't look right, but he continues to paint them so finally a manager comes over and I explain to her so she explain in their language. He removes the nail polish and begins to smooth the nails. He paints them again and finishes and puts lotion and the towel on. And oils my cuticles... and says ok that will be $120. WTF my nails look like a kindergarten did them. I complained to the manager and told her that he never cleaned off my cuticles and that the nails still look bumpy and uneven. Horrendous.... She then says oh but he is normally good. Maybe next time it will be better.. I paid a whole lot of money to be still unsatisfied. Even the manager agreed that my nails were not done well.. Went for the 15.00 mid week Mani/Pedi and although the gentleman who did my nails was nice and pretty thorough, my daughter and I left unimpressed and then less than thrilled when our nails began to chip 3 days later. By day 5, we both needed to completely remove the nail polish. While the manicure tables in front to the left may be neat and clean, the tables where we were seated, to the far right in a little room, were filthy and had old nail clippings all over the table. While glancing around it was clear that this area is not routinely cleaned and was in disarray. Today, I didn't have an appointment so I did my nails with a quiet guy who sits in the back and they still came out really good. The reason for my 4 starts is because of the lady who sits at the front desk and picks up the phone. She's always screaming and rushing and I can never understand what she's saying. I posted a great review the first time I came here because I was extremely happy with my nails however the last two times I came here I was extremely disappointed because once again just like at some other nail salons, the job is not consistent. It's a hit or miss. I can back here last month to get a gel pedicure, and I was pretty reluctant to them not soaking off my gel. Instead, they filed it completely off with the machine that is used to shape acrylic nails. That's very damaging to the nails and makes them very thin. I let it go because it was my feet. I decided to give them another chance with my nails and this time my nails were treated even worse! First of all my nails are very thin, and my technician mentioned it to me. So instead of soaking them off to protect my thin nail plate (which other places do) this woman started removing the gel with that same acrylic nail shaping machine. Then she started cutting my cuticles without putting any oil or soaking them first... that's not acceptable at all. After all of that she applied 2 base coats to "strengthen my nails" which doesn't solve the fact that she just scraped off my nail plate, and then applied 4 coats of the gel). You guys didn't want another review from me so HERE IT IS!!! On Thursday December 30, 2020 at 6pm I had an appointment with Daphne. I made my appointment two or three days ago. I got a phone call around 4:45 the same day before my appointment saying that they would be closing early. The woman on the phone said "can you come in now because we'll be closing early." I was getting out of the shower at the time. Then when I said I can't find a babysitter for my daughter on short notice that's when they told me I can keep my appointment. When I arrived at my appointment and (on time) the manager who I believe his name is Alvin, came up to me at the door and said to me that he "remembered me" and "recognized my face". I didn't know how because I was wearing my mask that covered majority of my face. He said that he cannot serve me because "there's always a problem, and that he "doesn't want any trouble". At that point the only thing I had done was walked in the door and said "Hi I'm Daphne's 6:00 appointment." I didn't get a hello a greeting from anyone or anyting. He pretty much told me to leave. I was obviously super upset and I was extremely caught off guard. When I finally understood what he was telling me I did become upset and I did start to cry. I had literally just walked in the door and I'm being told I can't be served. I have NEVER had any issues with the manager, or the owner. No I really didn't want to come back after being told two different prices last time, getting screamed at by management Wendy, and having staff gang up on my sister and I. The manager who I believe is Alvin said he wouldn't serve me because, "there's always an issue". I mean there wouldn't be if staff haven't torn my nail off, yelled at me, given me an attitude for mistakes THEY'VE made, getting over charged for a pedicure by one guy who did a service I didn't want or ask for. When you treat your customers poorly YES they're going to speak up! That's I've done and clearly I'm being punished for it. The manager told my father and sister that I didn't pay my bill from last time. Obviously it's a lie. Wendy said I didnt have to pay last time. NO I DIDNT JUST WALK OUT!!!!!! It sounds to me like Wendy lied to save herself. At one point this man got my sister and I confused! This man tried to say an incident happened the other day and it WASNT EVEN ME! IT WAS MY SISTER! It goes to show these people don't know what they're talking about! Also my sister and I are related but just because we're white it doesn't mean we're the same person! That's racist! I had asked him multiple times throughout the conversation when was my last nail appointment was and he could not tell me. I also ask him who did my nails the last time I was in here, he couldn't tell me that either. I also asked several times for any kind of proof, documentation, video, screenshots or anything proving that I did not pay my last visit. He was unable to provide any kind of proof that I did not pay my last visit. Why? Because it's not true! If your going to accuse someone of not paying their bill or stealing from you, you need some kind of evidence or proof that that person did it. That is a disgusting accusation to make against somebody who did nothing. Also why weren't any law enforcement called and why was I able to leave the salon that day? These people have my number! After my last incident in February, Wendy said we didn't have to pay that time. This manager or owner also was NOT on duty when the alleged incident. "Alvin" and Peter the owner weren't there. My father and myself had asked for his name he hesitated and said "Arthur". I was more than sure that his name was Alvin. I called him out on it. He didn't say anything at all because he looked shocked that I said that. Which leads me to believe that he was trying to give my father a fake name. Really classy. If you guys are so right why give a fake name? I do have a couple minutes worth of footage too about the incident, but I did not catch most of it. YES I HAVE PROOF THAT THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED! I He later brought up because of Yelp. As you can see yes I do have several Yelp reviews on here talking about my unsatisfaction with the salon. The owner and I have always worked it out. To accuse me of stealing when I was told that I could just get out and that I didn't have the pay is NOT on me. It sounds like something you need to workout with your worker. Don't worry about me returning because after being accused of stealing with ZERO PROOF I will never return here.
