When we arrived we were the only ones there. The gentleman asked us to pop the hood so he can do a few things and then scanned the door. The whole process was about 10 minutes. Was a loyal customer of at least five years. Mostly out of convenience but I also feel they have reasonable pricing and I'd rather support local small businesses. Then this year's smog & registration cycle. I had some work done and should have driven around more before bringing it in the first time. That's totally on me. But I followed his advice of putting 70-100 miles on it (he wasn't giving me a consistent number). Went back, different guy working, more than 70 and less than 100. Same issue in that it won't get to the point it will even start the tests. Still needed some more driving but gave me pointers on the specific sensor in question. So I followed that. Didn't put a whole lot of miles on it but didn't need to from what the guy on the second visit told me. So today I swing by to have it checked before wasting any more gas driving needlessly. (This is all in the span of like a week, I don't drive much these days.) First guy again. Looks at the papework and wouldn't even give it a try. Kept talking over me. Didn't want to listen to what I was telling him and tried to get me to waste the gas driving around another 50 miles. I was pretty sure I had driven it around adequately since if left the shop by this, the third visit, and dude should have just humored me. Lost whatever they make off smog & registration combos. I drove to another place. It passed. Went back to show him and he tried to pass it off as me just being lucky. That's not how this works, guy. read more

For the past 4 years I've come to this little shop to get my smog test done. It's always quick and easy. The attendant is always prompt and friendly. It's in a little shopping center that's pretty much empty besides a mini mart so you can't miss this place. Definitely recommend. read more

So I recently had to smog my truck that hasn't been driven in 4 months due to the Covid virus. I had to jump start the truck to get it to Q's Quik Smog on Vassar. I told the attendant when I arrived that is what happened, joking about having to jump the dead battery. The attendant laughed with me. Then he hooked up the test stuff and did the test. I wasn't able to take the test because apparently there are a series of tests your vehicle does after the battery is changed or jump started. For this I was charged $15 and told to come back and he would only charge me $20 to do the test. Obviously I started researching the "readiness tests" and learned that the station is required by law to ask you if your battery was changed or jumped in the last 7 days. I guess he could have forgotten to ask but I also told him before he even hooked up the truck to his test station. I also learned that virtually all reputable smog test sites don't charge you for the retest after your car has run them which can take some time (300 miles) until certain driving cycle conditions are met. I can only conclude that I was purposefully ripped off for $15. I have reported it to the DMV, but I advise you that you will not save any money going to this Sh**hole of a test station. Go somewhere reputable that follows the law and doesn't laugh at you while they are ripping you off. read more

I'm pretty sure the guy there was running a scam. They charged me a extra 10$ to renew my registration, which I was fine with...but my receipts showed 144$ total and the guy charged me 154$ when I asked where he got the extra 10$ he asked what he told me....I don't see why you would ask that if it's already showing as a total on your receipts! I told him I wanted a receipt that showed the total I was being charged and not 10$ less! AFTER ARGUING WITH ME....He had to write me a hand written one! I also asked to speak to a "supervisor" and he would not give me his name, but instead called someone he stated that was his boss. And got a very shady explanation from him as well! I only hope the real owner reads this and finds out his employees are screwing him! read more

I went here in a whim because I needed my smog done asap. The guy working was really rude from the start, I couldn't understand anything he was saying because he was mumbling so bad. He got really pissy when I could not give him the mileage because he looped the cable under the car door rather than through the rolled down window. I tried to explain this to him but he only got madder. Finally I let him figure it out, it took him a minute to realize that the door needed to be closed to see the mileage. Thankfully the pain was over quick, I declined a receipt and I declined him doing my registration too, I wanted out of this experience. But, it was not over.... A few minutes after I left, my friend texted me and said she received my receipt from this place. How does that even happen? I never gave him my number, let alone hers, she is in no way connected to any of my vehicles. If I could give zero stars I would give zero. This was a weird and awful experience. read more

I chose to go to this place because of the $10 off coupon they have online. However, they still ended up charging me full price and did not take the discount off even though I presented the coupon upon arriving to have the smog check performed and they acknowledged that I would get $10 off. The service was fine, but I'm not going to come back due to the simple fact that I feel as though they were dishonest. read more

Got my car smogged here 2 weeks ago and wasted $30. I was told my car failed because my check engine light was burnt out. It is difficult to change the bulb by yourself because the front paneling where the guages are have to be removed. I had to go out of town, so my Dad took my car to tires plus and was told it would cost $107 to replace the bulb. I then get a call from him telling me that tires plus said my check engine light was not burnt out. Luckily the guys at tires plus didn't charge us anything. My Dad got my car smogged at another place and it passed. read more
