Visiting from CT... this restaurant is in walking distance from where we are staying we had to check it out! The drinks were amazing and the atmosphere was beachy! Highly recommend the seared tuna and the lobster bisque!

3 Littlenecks & 3 Oysters

This was our first time here. We went for dinner. It wasn't very busy when we went in. We were greeted and the server took our drink order and we got our drinks pretty quickly. Then, we waited 30 minutes for our server to come back and give us our menus. The table next to us were seated and their orders taken almost immediately and they got their food before us. They were a party of four and it was just my husband and me. Once we ordered, we waited another 35 minutes for our food to arrive. Our oysters and littlenecks came out first, didn't come with any lemons so the server went and got some for us. My husband's Carolina bbq pulled pork didn't have any bbq sauce like the menu said. The pork belly ramen was pretty good. My monstah lobstah roll was huge and had a good amount of lobster. The chowder was creamy and thick but hardly any clams. Oh, everything was cold! I had to ask our server to warm up my chowder. I hate complaining or asking for anything to be brought back but I couldn't eat clam chowder at room temp. The server was very kind. She said it was just their second day of opening for the season and apologized for the way things were running. She was so nice about it. Our bill was $128 before tip. The drinks were good and were fairly priced at $10 each. I'd be willing to give it another try this summer.... maybe.

Chowda n 1lb monsta lobsta sandwich!

If you want a great lobster roll and chowder, this is the place. The monster lobster roll (1#) is so stuffed w lobster that you have to eat the lobster off the top before you eat the roll. Not a bad thing tho! Looking forward to eating here again.

Great food Great location in Onset Village! Lobster rolls, oysters, stuffed quahog, clam chowder, local IPA on draft, across the street from the beach! New England summer heaven!

Raw littlenecks were delicious!

NEW FAVORITE! We are in town for business every Sept/Oct for about 6 weeks. We have tried to visit this place many times before, but they always closed for the season. Now they are staying open later in the season and we are SOOOOO happy! This place ROCKS! Cute little place, love the outside deck, but let's get real, it's all about the food! We've been twice now. I got the small (yeah, right) lobster roll and clam chowder combo both times I came. FIrst, I don't know who can eat the Monsta one, not I. The "small" is bigger than anyone else's I've seen. If you look closely at the last pic I posted of the lobster roll, there is an ENTIRE lobster in there. There is a full, uncut lobster tail, and two full, uncut claws, and a ton of other meat around it. Full lobster kids. The grill on the bun is perfect. While the bun is hot, the lobster itself is served cold and undressed, but with warm drawn butter on the side. MMmmmmmmmm. It's my fav lobster roll hands down. Both times I've had a few of the raw littlenecks. So good. Also last time, the BF went with me and he had the Cuban sandwich, as he is not a fan of clams or lobster (I know, and I stay with him anyway). This Cubano was INSANE good! I had a couple bites. We both love a Cubano, and this is probably the best one either of us have ever had. Great bread, and it's HUGE! All in all, great place, great food, great vibe, friendly peeps. Can't wait til next September! Woohoo!

Kid's (yep!) size Fish and Chips!

Shrimp seemed a little off when I was eating. Should have stopped eating. Sick when I got home.

We ordered takeout and the shrimp was so good. Service was phenomenal and the prices were beyond reasonable.

Not interested in going again. Loud and small. I've had a better burger at macdonalds. Tourists trap. Prices are high.

We both loved our food, too. I got a burger that was cooked perfectly and my husband got a sandwich that he loved. The vibe in Mahoney's was great too - we came on a quiet night but the decor was very relaxing. I can imagine when they decorate for the holidays that this is a great place to come hang out! I'm glad we did. They have a nice bar and dining room that's always got a good crowd enjoying their food and drinks. The menus have a good selection of different types of pub foods. Anyone eating here should be able to find something they like. We've had the fish tacos which are very tasty and not full of sloppy sauce and slaw like some other places. The flatbread is very good too they have a few variations that are just right for an appetizer. I have had the fish and chips which was good but I would have liked to see a bit more fries. The drinks are on point though. I have gotten a Manhattan both times and I have to say the bar is very consistent. They make an excellent Manhattan. Good job bar keeps! So if you're ever rounding the traffic circle take that right turn and stop in you won't be disappointed.

So, I was understandably hesitant about a new bar moving into what was considered by many to be hallowed ground. Since I walk by it on my way home from work, I decided to stop in soon after it first opened to see what it was like. And now I am a regular and it's one of my favorite watering holes in the city. Super cool atmosphere, with tons of horror movie memorabilia on the walls. A couple of pinball machines ( including a brand new Evil Dead one which is really sweet), and neat liitle outback area for nicer days. They also occasionally have music and drag shows inside, and in the summer months cool shows outside in the parking lot next door. You can also grab a grilled cheese or a hot dog from Puggles Grilled Cheese most days of the week if you're feeling peckish. And my favorite thing... PICKLEBACKS.... !!!! All the drinks are cheap and they have a good selection of beers and ciders. Maybe most importantly, the owners Jeff and Courtney are absolutely lovely people who really understood keeping the locals vibe of the E & O era but also being it's own thing. Definitely support this great establishment.
