A very cool location with a really nice view of the Plymouth waterfront. That's it. Parking. Meh. It's summer and there always seems to be something going on in Plymouth. We parked at the municipal lot. Not too expensive, but honestly, America's Hometown and the town price gouges you. Enter either elevator or four stories of stairs. I recommend bringing a sweater or sweatshirt if you are dining outside. As the sun started to set, the temperature dropped and it was a bit uncomfortably cool. No propane heaters too. Appetizers: I had the unstuffed quahogs... very good, but honestly they were not oven warmed, but more in the cold spectrum. Tasty, but should have come out piping hot. The place was busy, as we had a six o'clock seating; however, we had to wait an hour after the appetizers until we got our entrees. I had the lobster roll, not bad at all, but it came with French Fries and there was no substitution. My bride had the Vegan Bowl and she liked it too. We were at the point to just get it all down our gullets and get the heck out of there. Service was nice and pleasant, but they pushed the drinks and it was a long wait. We left just after eight. I'm indifferent about this place. Might give them another try, but probably not. Oh my I was totally blown away with each part of the three course meal for $25 that they offer in the winter months. ABSOLUTELY WORTH EVERY PENNY!! Appy.. entree and dessert. Don't usually like this kind of option but I can't say enough about it here. Megan was our server and she was just lovely.. accommodating and helpful in every way possible. Really great place, all around. Reservations are available through Open Table, we made one and arrived a bit earlier that we reserved for. No issue, we waited about 10minutes and were seated. Location is gorgeous, beautiful views. Parking is across the street in the public lot. For drinks I had a glass of wine, and it was a great pour. For food we got the "Crab Croquettes" which was really good- not your typical crab cake.. it was a rissoto fritter with crab meat. For dinner I got the Steak and Fries - steak was cooked perfectly, plenty of fries as well. I wasnt a huge fan of the "torgashi" seasoning as that was on the fries and the steak - making it very overwhelming. The male manager is an actual trash bag who has zero customer service skills and makes his bartenders call patrons to apologize for their "mistakes." I asked the bartender for my tab as my friend was paying for it in cash. She asked my name, told us the amount, and my friend paid in cash. I was then overcharged the following morning for what I was told was already paid. I emailed the manager and he called me, then text me to discuss the issue. A few hours later he had the bartender call me herself to apologize for "misunderstanding me." To be called by the bartender when I was originally speaking to the manager is not only completely unprofessional, it's a violation of my privacy and an uncomfortable position to put your front of house employee through. It is not the job of the bartender to handle these matters. It's the managers duty. When I told him how unprofessional his behavior was and that I wanted a refund, he not only tried to blame me for "trying to get free drinks" he also told me to never come back LOL as if I would want to. So disappointing! We selected Terrace for a girls outing and regret doing so. The food was meh. Two of our party of 5 ordered lobster rolls that were overdressed, undercooked and dusted with old bay seasoning that was not mentioned in the menu description. If that had been the worst of our experience, it wouldn't have been so bad. Apparently, they had three parties booked at the same time and because of rain were not able to use the outdoor space. This resulted in one of the DJ set ups, being put immediately behind two of our chairs where they kept bumping into them as they were trying to set up. This is definitely NOT "fine dining" by any stretch. We ate inside on one of the recent July Fourth scorcher days when being out on the 104 degree rooftop was unthinkable. Their minimal inside dining is along the walls around a bar and very, very noisy. Despite the server's favorable description, the Korean steak BBQ was 1/3 charred, 1/3 fat and gristle, and 1/3 dry but edible. The large scoop of white rice was adorned with greenery but again dry and tasteless. The one stalk of broccolini was charred as advertised. Shown the meal remnants, my server said "Sorry 'bout that" and ignored my suggestion that her manager be advised. A disappointing dining experience all around. read more

This was my second time here and the views are beautiful. It overlooks the Plymouth waterfront. It has a cozy and fun vibe. This was a Friday evening and they started playing live music while we were there. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the lobster flatbread, which my friends and I shared for an appetizer. For my meal, I got the salmon, which was delicious and very flavorful. The staff were very polite and the Owner came by to check on us and we got chatting for a bit. Food I am not thrilled about. Very mediocre but than I don't know what their target audience is. Its blend and options are not paired well. The pork belly appetizer was sooo good, the Japanese sweet potato and fig Demi glaze was perfect. The ribeye was so tasty and cooked well, but I found it awful small for the price. Had a fabulous dinner here tonight! The outdoor seating is fabulous with the ocean views. Our waitress Cassie checked in efficiently and was attentive and kind. The manager (?) owner (?) was walking around, checking on tables, and checking in with his staff. He came over and asked how our meal was -- everyone loved their meals! Chicken saltimbocca was tasty, fish sandwich was awesome (particularly the tartar sauce), poke bowl and vegan bowl were beautiful and delicious. Cocktails were an A+ as well. Loved it!!! This restaurant is beautiful and we were so excited to try it. We ordered the little necks appetizer and it was okay. I ordered a glass of wine and it came in a filth glass so I sent it back. It was replaced without question. 5 out of 6 of us ordered the special, filet mignon tips and none of us were impressed. The potato purée was tasteless and under seasoned. The tips were tasty but at one point I got a mouthful of gristle. My husband had the same experience. The service was just okay and we were so very disappointed. Not sure we would go back. read more

Had a long wait to get order taken and had no silverware when food was served - had to wait another 5-10 minutes until we got it. Food was so so as well. The 3 course meal for $30 was terrific. Hubby got lobster bisque, beef stir fry and chocolate mousse. I had a delicious autumn salad, bolognese , and blueberry bread pudding. We had very high hopes for Terrace Rooftop as we were visiting for the first time today in the hopes of having our rehearsal dinner here before our wedding. I've worked in restaurants for thirteen years and have genuinely never had such a bad experience at a restaurant in my life. It Started when we arrived and Mike at the hostess stand was visibly annoyed by any and all customers coming up to him because of how behind they were. I walked up and told him we had a reservation and he shook his head and in an extremely rude tone said "well you're going to have to wait, we're still trying to seat reservations 15 minutes before yours." I understand being behind and being frustrated but not quite sure how you are set to greet guests and can't separate yourself from the frustration to do your job and provide exceptional customer service. Finally got seated about 20 minutes after our reservation was set for. Little did we know, that was only the start of our troubles. Our server came over shortly after we sat down and took our drink and appetizer order. We thought things would be smooth sailing from here but nope! We ordered the shrimp and Brussels sprouts as appetizers. This took over an hour to come out. Our meals took almost two hours to come out. And when it did, no apologies or anything. Every food runner we saw bringing food to the tables seemed confused as to which food was going where and almost every time they came out with food, they would walk up to multiple tables and it was clear they didn't know where the food was supposed to go and would return to the kitchen to ask again. We were finally able to leave around 9:20 after getting our food much later than expected. This place is extremely mismanaged. The rooftop view is cool but not worth the overpriced food and extremely long wait times. Definitely has the potential to be a really cool spot. But Whether it's a date night, casual dinner or you're planning on having a private event here, I would stay far away from this place until they get their act together. read more

Five stars for back of house and service tonight. It appeared that there was only one waitress with a couple of runners supporting her. For the entire dining room. We were a party of 12 (I'm sorry, back of house, I know how much a large party complicates your life!). To complicate things further, there was another (larger) party celebrating a 100th birthday . Over cocktails, appetizers, and entrees, we had a relaxed meal that the kitchen got out in about 45 minutes. We never felt like we were waiting and everything arrived in a very reasonable timeframe. We were all fed and happy and ready to go home in only 1.5 hours. 12 people! Kudos to the service staff, but especially to the kitchen. The food was amazing! I got the Crab Martini which is super refreshing and flavorful! And the main course I got the Scallops! They were phenomenal! Super rich risotto with light scallops! The ambiance is lovely! Peaceful, have space from other tables and the atmosphere is GORGEOUS. All the servers are attentive and super friendly! My wife and I had an amazing meal at Terrace Rooftop. They begin with an amuse-bouche that is incredible, very classy (and delicious) touch. The Prince Caspian and Cape Cod Sand Dollar oysters were out-of-this-world in every form: raw, fried and grilled. Chef Kyle is a magician with oysters, the man simply doesn't miss. Lobster fettuccini and braised short rib were outstanding but the showstopper was the Spanish Octopus. When I tell you this octopus was cooked to PERFECTION...the sauce was terrific as well, but the octopus itself was just perfection. Whole staff, from Ryan to Jillian to Chef Kyle are awesome and showed us a great time. When the weather warms up and the terrace opens (full panoramic view of the harbor) this place is gonna be hoppin. read more

My wife and I joined another couple for dinner at the Terrace last evening. The Terrace offers stunning views of Plymouth Harbor, upscale decor, and excellent food. Nice selection of cocktails and interesting appetizers. The menu is on the small side, but supplemented nicely by lots of daily specials. My wife had the Martha's Vineyard fluke, and I had the rib-eye which were both specials. Cooked perfectly. It's not inexpensive, but well worth the price. Two and a half stars but has the potential to be so much better. Food was average, which is not what one should expect given the prices. Their website was not fully functional at the time we dined there (4/19/2024). By that I mean their online reservation process (fill out and submit a form) did not appear to work. After submitting the reservation form, I waited just over 24 hours before I decided to call. They had no record of the reservation request I submitted but I had no problem making one by phone. The online menu seemed accurate. After being seated, we were informed by our server that any appetizers we ordered would be served with the meal, not before it. Umm, seriously? We were going to order an appetizer until we heard that. Having the main course get cold while we had our appetizer made no sense, so they lost a sale there. I can only assume the kitchen is very understaffed, which does not bode well for an expensive restaurant in a tourist town. Service was very slow. From what I could tell there were three bartenders on duty and at least three servers. The number of servers seemed adequate to me, given the restaurant was not full. (Outdoor seating had not yet started.) Our server also did not know how to use a corkscrew and pour wine. I had to open the bottle myself. It was a bit fun actually, and we all had a chuckle over it. However this is not what one should expect at a fine dining establishment. Our server also made a mistake in the application of beverage laws in Massachusetts. I'll forego the details but suffice it to say we received an apology later. I ordered the steak, medium rare. It was the most expensive thing on the menu so I expected it to be prepared correctly. It came out overcooked and well done. It was not tasty at all. I probably should have sent it back but since everything had taken so long at this point I didn't. We were not eager to spend more time there, given we were almost two hours into our stay at that point. We were offered a free dessert but declined. In summary, the location is very appealing and once outdoor dining starts I think it can be an enjoyable evening. For now, I'll attribute the rather unenjoyable experience we had to the growing pains of a new restaurant. But once it gets busy during the upcoming tourist season, The Terrace needs to up its game. read more

We held a graduation party on Sunday 5/18/25 and the entire experience was top shelf. In the runup to the event Craig the restaurant manager and Derek the chef met with me in advance to discuss logistics and menu........incredibly accommdating. On the day of the event Craig came in on his day off to ensure that everything was set up to our satisfaction. Chef Derek came out several times to pay special attention to my grandson, who has an egg allergy, and ensure that he had a special menu.......Chef Derek is a rock star!!! Our server, Jillian, was amazing. She handled our party of 15 along with other parties, yet we never had to look for her. Her service was without a doubt an enormous conribution to the great time that we had. An incredibly professional staff!! Finally, the view and open decks are an amazing backdrop for any occasion. The only reason that I am not giving it one star, is because of the beautiful view of the harbor. They offer a pork belly appetizer and a pork belly sandwich. We were there on a Wednesday afternoon and they were out of pork belly. We ordered the octopus appetizer and it was just meh. Not much flavor. I ordered a Coke and it was flat. The waitress brought me another one and that was also flat. We ordered the mussels, which had absolutely no flavor. None. Even the toasted sliced bread that is served with the mussels, was bland. No butter, no seasonings. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich that came with fries. The chicken was dry and the fries had way too much salt. My lunch companion had the salmon sandwich, which he said was also dry, but edible. His fries were also loaded with salt. The waitress was very nice and apologetic. Because of its location, this restaurant has a lot of potential. They need to really step up their game with their food. They have been open for several months and they should have already worked out the kinks. We will not be going back unless I hear that the food has greatly improved. read more

The bartender Jess serving us was so rude and terrible service. I understand it was busy but personally as I have worked in the same position before I am just shocked. Could not be bothered to even listen to what we were saying without walking away. We asked for wine during our meal and she tried to give us two margaritas. The salmon was cold, I just ate it. Ten minutes after finishing she tried to bring wine, we declined. Waited another 20 mins for desert. She didn't give ask if I we were done before taking our plates. My husband and I were joined by dear friends to celebrate our anniversaries at an amazing restaurant in Plymouth. It's called "The Terrace" right in downtown overlooking Plymouth Harbor. Everything about this restaurant was top notch, including the views, service, ambience and most especially, the delicious food.
