Food was over priced. They added a side salad that was a substitute for fries. She never told me it was extra money but charged me for it. I asked for the quickest item. 25 minutes later she arrives with my food to go. I said I wanted to eat at the restaurant when I ordered. Then she argued with me. She never offered to transfer to a plate. The cheesesteak was gross. Hardly any meat and drenched in a gross sauce. More pita than ingredients. It looked NOTHING the photo on the menu. When you live close to Quaker steak and lube it becomes your go to place when you want a cold beer and appetizers or just some wings for dinner. We are frequent fliers to Quaker and I can't say I have ever had a bad meal here when dining in. I have had quite a few different things on the menu. My all time faves are the parm/pepper boneless wings (because regular wings are messy when dining out so I usually save those for carry out days) I usually order regular wings crispy so they leave them in a little longer to crisp up the skin on regular wings. They always have cold beer on tap and service is always pretty good since we usually sit at the bar when dining in. If you're looking for a place that has a little bit of everything on the menu this is your stop. If you're looking for a healthier version on wings they also carry grilled boneless wings again so that's usually what I get now with the same parm/pepper sauce. If you stop in before 6 they have a happy hour menu with some appetizers and certain adult beverages are included with a little money off. read more

Ordered wings, full rack of ribs dinner, Asian bowl with steak on 7-6-25 Received half not full rib dinner and an Asian bowl with gristle not steak. Called 7-7-7-25 hoping they could refund to half rib dinner or give me the ribs I already paid for. Billy, the manager said too late I had to return all the food yesterday to get my ribs. So next time you get a carryout there check through the food bags because Billy 'doesn't want to give away free food to people' even if they already paid for it. It looked more like a plant-based burger..the color (nonexistence) and uniform shape of a mold. This location has consistently shown me the worst of the worst in terms of people in the service industry. From rude and incompetent servers to managers with attitudes I've never even known could exist in this industry. Never before have I been hung up on by a general manager when requesting her district manager's contact information. They all side with each other and do not accept criticism. Poor tone, empty apologies, and whine about how their kitchen staff doesn't receive tips on 3rd party deliveries. Everyone managing this place deserves to be taken out and fired. Deplorable behavior underpinning a failing restaurant that can't even read a computer screen and fill a bag. We went to the one in mentor, this was not our first choice, every other place had quite a wait. no waiting , wonder why? If you're going out for steaks this is not the place, I go often to the one in Sharon pa. Never had a bad meal there, but don't have steak there , the bourbon beans are great, the salad was very good, exceptional blue cheese dressing. The waitress we had was so-so, probably short on staff maybe part of the reason for 18.00 dollars I expected a batter steak, not juicy and a little tough, not really flavorful, I will not order steak there again, I was disappointed. I just don't know why this place is such a miss lately! I always order their mac and cheese skillet with a side of bbq sauce and the chicken on the side (it's a lot to eat so i save the chicken for later). picked up the order through the drive thru, brought it all the way home just to realize they put my side of chicken in a cardboard wing container ON TOP of the mac and cheese. the cardboard soaked up and stuck onto half of my meal when i pulled it off of it. who knows where that container has been now i can't have half my meal? and no bbq sauce either so literally just plain mac and cheese that was already room temp when it got home. called the manager and all that was said to us was "sorry, it's that workers second day." so who's training these workers to where they think that's okay?? just no supervision whatsoever? very sad and this place used to be a favorite - sad it's going so downhill. i'd recommend anywhere else in the area for bar food. read more

I'm in the area from out of town, and since it's COVID crisis, I've been getting delivery to my hotel room. My food here has consistently exceeded expectations. I've purchased the steak salad as well as a steakburger and fries. The steak on my salad was juicy, tender, cooked perfectly. The burger was exciting and the fries were exactly what they should have been. Love the twizzlers they throw in the bag as well! Quaker Steak and Lube used to be our place to go on Monday night's. Since Travel centers of America took them over, they have gone down hill. We used to go for the 5.99 burgers and half price appetizers and sprinsters. They raised the price on the burgers to 7.99, which still wasn't bad. Next the took the sprinsters off the appetizers. Now only select appetizers are $5, but they call it a better deal. The last time I got wings, they were parts of wings, also raised the Tuesday buffet to 15.99. It is not steak, it's wings. They also got rid of a lot of wing sauces people liked and ordered frequently. This was a wing place, but no longer. We were regulars, but not going back. read more

When we go to the lube, it's typically because someone else chose the restaurant. We have been to many of the locations and have been frequently disappointed. The Cortland location is a game changer. Whoever is running this location is doing a phenomenal job! We have been impressed a few times dining in, so we ordered takeout last night. Both the fish and shrimp tacos were amazing. Gave a great review last time. Now I'm not so much in love. 2 1/2 stars. The service is very slow even though they aren't busy. There are no prices on the drink menu and they now sell wings by the pound rather than in countable quantities. Rather than asking the waiter how much each drink costs I opted for water. They cost themselves a drink (or 2) sale as well as making it far less likely I'll come back. There are a ton of other places to eat in the area. I guess I'll try them next time instead of coming here. Update: Just got our food. Wrong sauce, small crunchy wings. Cold fries. The people at the next table told them they were in a hurry. They had a softball game at 3. They didn't bring their to go boxes and check until 2:56. Stopped for a quick bite to eat after 9:00 PM on a Monday. Sat at the bar and order my favorite boneless wings. Came out super quick! Was excited until I tried a wing that was cold. Was just sauced without being freshly cooked. Not a big deal since half were for lunch the next day. Mentioned it to the waitress who passed it on to the manager. He came out and offered to take the wings off the bill. Didn't need to, but greatly appreciated the offer. Just wanted to make sure the kitchen is doing their job. We used to eat here 2-3 times a month, but have slowed way down. Too many things take priority over an average customer's comfort: the frequently inattentive or rude "hosts" of special events who take up tables while we stand in line. The vehicle shows which take up all close parking, and have been know to block the driveways. Their habit of leaving the canned music on during live entertainment, creating an unpleasant cacophony. You get the picture. Last August, I was sent some discount coupons, so we decided to give it another try. At the end of the meal the server denied the coupon, claiming there was a minimum purchase amount "buried in the fine print". Indeed, other coupons clearly stated a minimum, but this one did not. Willing to believe that I was in error, and not wanting to shout over the noise to argue the point, I paid the bill in full. Big mistake! There was no minimum purchase requirement; I have had other people examine the coupon and no one can spot it. I made three attempts to talk to someone about this. The first was on the survey they sent me the next day, followed by 2 separate emails. I have yet to be contacted. While I wait (not really expecting anything) I will be enjoying the many other area locations that offer BBQ and wings. read more

We used to love going to Quaker! But, they changed everything around. No ranch wings or potato soup! So disappointed! Tried the beef tacos and they were disgusting. I have been going to Quaker Steak & Lube in Sharon, PA for over 25 years. This one was terrible. I had a single order of ranch wings that were awful. They were really moist and tasted dreadful. Our waitress had an attitude and seemed to be annoyed that my friends were taking a while to order. But my friends son has diabetes. We don't need to explain that to her she has a job because of us and if my friends need time to order for their son that's their right. She never refilled our drinks unless told to do so. Her lack of service was evident by her tip. I have never given a waitress such a low tip. Never going to Quaker Steak & Lube again. read more
