We ate here again this past week. We eat here about once or twice during the spring-fall season. The food is stellar. The atmosphere is ok. The TVs are usually on news or sports and are loud and annoying. For the price and quality of the food, the TVs need to go. The wait staff is kind and friendly. However, in the multiple times we have been there, we have expressed to our waitress the need for gluten free options. Our regular response is that "they don't offer that." Please know this is NOT a cheap place to have a meal. Even a conversation with the chef would be helpful to those with dietary allergies, like my husband who is Celiac. The bathrooms are moderate. They are often sub par and in need of attention in both the men's and woman's restrooms. We will be back, but only as our budget and food allergies allow. read more

Would highly recommend this restaurant. Our meals were delicious. I had the ribs special. The meat just melted off the bone. Stopped here for dinner on a weekday evening and it was a great little find. The server was incredibly kind and attentive to our table. We sat outside and though the patio was small and undecorated, it was incredibly clean. Rather than getting full dinners, we shared a few appetizers which were more than enough. The homemade chips were perfectly crunchy and seasoned well. The greens were well seasoned as well and had just the right amount of spice! The pork belly for me was a bit too chewy, some parts appeared to be more done than others. I also found the sauce that it was in a bit too sweet. If you are looking for some good appetizers I would check this place out. read more

We had a super friendly waitress named Sherry and when ever there was dirty dish it was taken from the table! For an appetizer, we got the bruschetta which was delicious. The best steak you can get for miles around. I had the crab cake appetizer. It was ALL crab no fillers. Excellent brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious. I can't say enough about their 9oz fillet. ACTUALLY 9 ozs. The staff were all friendly, attentive, and fast. The table was bused quickly after each course. The owner/ chef visited each table while we were there. Oh my gosh. SO GOOD! Service and food were both amazing. We aren't local. Driving to KY from PA and found this place through Yelp on the way. Warm Italian bread was a hit with my boys. Delicious and tasted freshly baked. Fried mozzarella was really yummy. Boys got a cheeseburger and fries. No complaints and the server was so kind to have it cut in half for my boys. I didn't even have to ask. She was such a sweet woman and made sure we had everything we needed even though she was busy! Husband got some kind of horseradish filet dish and he devoured every bite. This review has nothing to do with the food or service. All is great. The owner and his wife are terrible, they're rude and have no idea how to treat people. We would try to order out from here a lot and often the owner would deny us and say "it's too busy to do take out" then slam the phone down. This happened about three times and this was before COVID. We had no issue in waiting a while longer just to get the take out, but why turn people away? So this cute little little place is a slightly off the beaten path but not far from the main roads. They have a full Bar with at Least at 8 or more beers on tap. Food selection is pretty great. I had filet tips with a side of Brussel sprouts, started with greens appetizer. Others at the table had the fried fish and a chicken and Peppers dish. Everything was very good. Stopped here with a party of four on Saturday evening. We were expecting to wait for a table since the restaurant is small and the patio was closed. To our surprise we were seated immediately. The staff here is friendly and our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and daily specials. We ordered four different entrees along with cocktails. Service was prompt and our waitress was very attentive. The meals were good and my only complaint is on proportion size. The salads were basically just lettuce and the entrees were almost child portions. When ordering a meal upwards of $25 ...I expect to be full when I leave. Owner is a jerk. Stands outside with his cigar and clipboard telling people he will "call them" when a table is ready. That's even if he wants to take your name at all before telling you to go down the street to another restaurant to eat. The pasta dishes are oily, the burgers are bland most of the dishes are so overpriced. When they decide they want to take to go orders they don't even get them correct half the time. Save your money and drive a little further out of town for a decent meal. read more

New place clean, clean restrooms kinda small but their building patio for summertime. Staff was assertive and prompt. The four of us had wonderful dinners, and my 12 year old daughter said her chicken parm was, "The best thing she's ever eaten!!" She would not share, even a single bite! - a first ever. Delightful! I had the Haddock sandwich with fresh cut fries. It was very good. The portions were massive. The Haddock was perfectly oversized on a fresh Italian roll with iceberg lettuce and tomato slices. The only think I missed was a toasted roll, it was slightly grilled but not hot. I was looking forward to trying the Prop House since it was being touted as fine dining for the Lake Milton area. We needed a real restaurant in the area. With that being said, I was sadly disappointed. The place is small, but I can get around that, no big deal. But the seating was cheap. We sat in a combo table with a booth on one side and chairs on the other. Ever time someone sat down behind me the booth back moved back and forth. I ended up having to sit forward and straight up for the whole meal. With it being a newly opened establishment, I expected new fixtures. Again, No big deal. If the food is as good as they claim, then I will live with this little inconvenience. We ordered a crab cake as our appetizer. It was ground crab, and a single paper thin crab cake in the center of a plate that fell apart, with some kind of hideous mustard sauce that was supposed to be a Dijon Remoulade. My husband ordered a Delmonico rib-eye steak. It wasn't even a 1/4 inch thick, and looked like a dried up piece of shoe leather sitting alone on the plate. Quality/Presentation/taste -0. I ordered the seafood puff pastry. The presentation was amazing, but that was where it ended. they drowned the entire pastry and seafood in so much of cream sauce that it overwhelmed everything else. Some bites were very fishy tasting, not the fresh sweet taste you expect from scallops and crab. I only ate a few bites and passed it along to my husband, since his meal was so disappointing. I would say my entree earned the following: Presentation 4 / quality & taste 3. Last but not least I order a glass of wine. The first glass filled three quarters full; second glass not even .25 filled. "Pour consistency please." I was so looking forward to trying out the Prop House, but sadly to say the quality did not justify the $26 entree price tag. So our 1st visit will also be our last. read more

I have been to Prop house twice. Some of the entrees are decent. I was hoping for a fine dining restaurant like the old Fifth season in Austintown. it reminded me of a bar. It was not fancy at all. I think the prices are too high for what you get. $15 for a chicken salad and $21 for an 8 oz sirloin steak dinner. Outback has lower prices and food is just as good. read more
