*UPDATING MY REVIEW AS THE OWNER REACHED OUT TO ME PRIVATELY* I was a customer and I am not based in San francisco. I live in Carnegie PA. Absolutely horrible service. I have been waiting a month for my "parts to come in" since the initial diagnosis of my fridge. They told me that my parts were on back order and that they'd see them next week. Well, that week came and went as did three other weeks. I've tried calling and leaving messages with me being essentially ghosted since then. I understand parts go on back order as i'm in the automotive industry. But if you DONT KNOW when parts are coming in, just communicate that with the customer? Frigidaire are the ones who set me up with this company to service the warranty repair on my fridge. I asked them if the parts were on back order in any point in time and they told me they never were. I have never experienced worse service, and customer service than this. No one would answer my calls or voicemails until i reached out to Frigidaire themselves and had them call this bogus company. After multiple false promises of the days my parts would be delivered, someone FINALLY called me and asked me to confirm my appointment for the next day (July 11). I told her "I had no idea l even had an appointment tomorrow? Did my parts come in?" She told me they had so i told her i'd absolutely take the appointment. She told me someone would come to my house July 11 2025 to service my fridge between 8am-5pm. I called my dad to see if he was available to be at my house all day until they showed up so he cleared his schedule to be there. Well no one ever showed up! Lol. I called at 4pm July 11th to make sure someone would still be here today and they promised they would be and that the technician was just running a bit behind schedule. She said they'd be there between 6pm-7pm. So here i am. Waiting. It is now 8 pm. I have been sitting here since i got off work waiting for this jank company to show up and do what they promised to do and unfortunately it is likely not happening. So I will likely go another month without a fridge or have to go buy another one (because everyone has an extra 700-1000 dollars laying around. Right?). They have completely waisted my time and are the absolute WORST. I was so impressed with them when they came to diagnose my fridge but clearly it was all a facade. They're scam artists. I called Frigidaire and reported how terrible they are to them and requested that they take them off their warranty list for the pittsburgh area. Unfortunately I just got around to reading the other reviews on here and probably wouldn't of wasted my time had i'd seen those first. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau and will continue taking it up the chain. What is the point of wasting peoples time? If you were never going to show up and just no call-no show me just say that. I'll find an actual, reputable company to do the repairs or just have Frigidaire replace my fridge. If you'd like to reconcile this, reach out to the number i have on file and i'll delete this review. Until then it's staying up to warn people of the behavior. The only positive thing I can say about this company is that their service was so consistently terrible that Speed Queen ended up replacing my entire machine -- something they rarely do. This was only possible because I kept detailed records of every missed appointment, ignored call, "backordered" part, closed ticket, and instance of blatant disrespect and dishonesty. The customer service was beyond unacceptable. Communication was nonexistent, promises were broken repeatedly, and I was left chasing answers that never came. I would give zero stars if I could. This was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. The technician who came to my home on both visits had an overwhelming odor, as though he hadn't bathed in weeks--completely unprofessional. On the first visit, he spent only a few minutes with the dishwasher before claiming it needed a new motor. Instead of doing anything further, he told me he couldn't stay because he was moving and had boxes in his work van. He said he'd try to return the next day--but that never happened. Two weeks passed before I heard anything and had to follow up myself just to get another appointment scheduled. During the second visit, the tech showed up 3.5 hours early, again smelling terrible. He unhooked my dishwasher, opened the part, and casually said, "Oh, I have the wrong part." That level of carelessness is completely unacceptable. When I expressed frustration and told him the part should have been verified beforehand, he simply packed up and left. When I asked him to confirm the dishwasher was reconnected correctly, he flat-out refused. Upon walking around the other side of the dishwasher, insulation is now sticking out of it. Not sure about all the bad reviews but I had an amazing experience with this company. We had a fridge go bad and got assigned to Affordable threw our warranty company. Kelly and the other kind lady in the office were fabulous and super understanding. They got me scheduled quick upon first call and battled back and fourth with my warranty company who was just awful. I had a total of 3 visits and each time it wasnt more than a day or two wait to be seen, the biggest wait time was parts shipping and the warranty company dragging their feet but once we had parts and the all clear I got scheduled increadibly quick! I had techician Shawn and he was so nice, friendly and thorough and knew exactly what he was doing, got us fixed all up! Everything these people are leaving reviews about are 100% accurate. I had them come look at my Frigidare before Labor Day. The guy was on the phone the whole time while looking over the refrigerator didn't have the parts to fix it. Said the parts would be in in two days and here we are almost a month later and the parts still aren't in. I have called weekly and they give a go around on why the parts arent in yet. Then you call and no one calls you back nor do they answer. The business owner should be ashamed of himself for telling off the people leaving reviews instead he should have words with his team and take the feedback to make his business better. read more

We purchased a Bosch double oven that was unable to hold a consistent temperature. Shawn arrived without adequate tools and my husband had to get the tools for him and support the oven while he worked. Shawn replaced two control panels and was asked to remain while I tested the oven by baking cookies. When I indicated that the oven was not hot enough, I asked him to check with his temperature gauge which he did not have. He left shortly after without leaving a repair report. Later we discovered that the content of the report to Bosch was fabricated. Affordable repeatedly refused to return our calls. I will never call this company again and do not recommend them for any repair. My account of the visit by the technician is spot on. I wrote a description of the event immediately after the visit. I never received a copy of the report and had to ask Bosch for a copy more than a month after the visit ... and after Affordable severed communication with me. For the record, the technician left our home when I said that the "test cookies' were still soft after 5 minutes. No one opened the oven during that time. To say that I did is completely dishonest. The repair visit was as I described, and the problem remains. As for the multiple attempts to correct the oven's deficiency, Bosch selects the company, not me. You failed like the previous one and now you trying to blame me, the customer, who has been baking for years. read more

Horrible experience. They were sent out through my home warranty and the tech was Ukrainian didn't speak English used the phone app to communicate. Blamed my cats for the dishwasher not functioning. Had a second opinion they fixed it with the right parts. This company is a fraud of a business. The woman I spoke too on the phone was American and nice and she knew her tech was some idiot that doesn't speak English. He also broke my dishwasher more. Luckily the second opinion sent out fixed it all. Update: It's funny the business owner responds when he wasn't there he sent a foreigner who spoke no English. It's funny he can read minds saying it wasn't fixed which it was fixed by the second opinion. It's funny that the report sent in from this joke of a company was nothing that was wrong. Second opinion fixed it with different issues and approved. Maybe send someone who speaks English. I'm not the only one to review this fraud on joke of a company. A respectful owner wouldn't let yelp reviews like this bother them. They would contact the customer to see what happened and rectify the problem to get the yelp reviews removed. Deserves 0 stars. I am located in Pittsburgh and needed warranty service on a GE Profile dishwasher. This is another cheap company with no professionalism. Appointment scheduled 11/23 for warranty repair on GE dishwasher. Email confirmation of appointment received. Female called to confirm appointment on 11/25 from affordable for our appointment set for 11/30. Today, appointment day 11/30, nobody showed up. No phone call, no attempt to contact me, just a no show. Based on the reviews that this owner answers, the response will be "someone is in the hospital" as that seems to be their go to excuse, instead of just admitting they have employees that can't keep appointments. Now after waiting all day, we are still without a service call, parts ordered, and a return date to fix the dishwasher with the parts. I called Affordable TV & Appliance Repair on July 14, 2025. A tech came out on July 16. He assessed my Electrolux washer and said I needed a new valve and motherboard. It took over 2 months to get the parts. He came back after not showing up the previously scheduled day. Stated this job required 2 people. The following week they called and said they would come and repair my washer. How silly was I to believe they replaced both parts???? I began washing a day or so later and the same thing began happening. So I place another call to Home Depot and they sent a different company to come and assess. They tell me it needs a new valve!!! I thought mine had been replaced already. So then Home Depot had Affordable TV and Appliance Repair come back out and this tech checked several things and said the valve again which was astounding to me. So here I am over 3 months later and I still can't use my not use my brand new washer.....They apparently will have to order the part. Please don't use them if you don't have to. They are very difficult to get a hold, no-show, don't communicate very well as far as what the next steps are. read more

My warranty company had me schedule an appointment with them for repair. I had an appointment for 1 pm - 5 pm on Sunday. Was told a technician would call me that morning and give a 2 hour window of someone showing up. And if I didn't answer my phone then my appointment would be cancelled. I carried my phone with me all day so I didn't miss this call since my appliance needed repairs. My husband and I were both home the entire day. No phone call and no one showed! Do not recommend. We were assigned this company thru GE Warranty for a dryer repair. The technician came on a Monday evening. He didn't speak very good English so we had multiple communication difficulties. He also did not put all the pieces back in to the dryer and when I expressed concern, he said "just stickies". He communicated thru a phone translator app that it needed bearings. I called the office on Wednesday morning as I had not hear any follow up. The receptionist said he had not put in the work order yet but she would call to let me know. I never heard back. I called a couple times. The voice mailbox is full. On Friday afternoon , 5 days after my appointment, I still hadn't heard anything so I called GE and asked for a new appointment with a different provider. Then 2 weeks after the initial appointment I got a call from Affordable to say parts were in and wanting to schedule service. They left a phone message. I called them out on a Sunday night after my carbon monoxide alarm was going off. Somehow the tech determined the parts that were needed. The Affordable TV and Appliance is the worst, and I would highly recommend to other users not to hire them for any work. My Home Warranty assigned them for initial appointment and repair of my Refrigerator's water leakage. Shawn came, saw the issues, and as per my Agreement with the Home Warranty Company, I paid him $65. He said he would file a claim to my Home Warranty within 2 days and schedule a time to fix it. He also said to call back his office in case if I did not hear back in 2 days. After 2 days, I texted him. He said call his office number. I called and left vm. I waited for 2 more days. No one called me back. I called my Home Warranty and they sent message to them. Meanwhile I call them twice and left voice message. After 1 day, a lady from their office called and scheduled a day (Thursday) so Shawn and one more man would come and fix the issues. She said they have all parts arrived and my home warranty was okay to repair it. I waited whole day of Thursday. No call and No SHOW. I called EOD Thursday. No one pick up the call. Left vm. And I waited next couple of days. While waiting for him, lot of water leaked through floor to basement and one of the tiles fell off the ceiling of basement. Anyway, to make story short. After several calls to his company and my Home Warranty company, I got his email address. I emailed him. It was almost more than 2 weeks after. He replied back(Shawn) and said sorry he did not make it to appointment on Thursday because his friend was in Hospital I told replied back and told him I and my dad would help him, just bring the parts and tools and we will fix it together. He NEVER REPLIED back to that email. So, after almost a month, I reached to my Home Warranty company and asked them to change the Technician. Bottomline is DO NOT HIRE HIM. This company is horrible. If you have a Bosch provider direct you to call them, don't. they do not diagnose anything. they charge you $200 to come look at your code that you gave them and tell you the same thing you could have looked up on google. In fact, that's what the service guy did. he googled the error code and showed me and showed me the same website I saw already. It then took them over a week to come out with the so called part that needed fixed and it was the wrong part. This company never looked at anything, diagnose anything, nothing. They claim their service providers are "trained" but I did more diagnosing looking at google then they did. Do not waste your time, or money, with this company. They are the biggest scam you could have to repair your appliances. I cannot stress this enough. We ended up calling another company who came out that day and fixed the problem because it was an error code in the circuit. Nothing that hitting a few keys would have fixed. Not only did I save hundreds of dollars by having another company come out and actually do their job, but I actually have a functioning appliance again. If you hope to have any form of communication from this company, you better count your blessings. Not only do they not answer your phone calls (after multiple attempts) but they talk down to you when you have a complaint about their service. The only person worth anything in this company is their secretary who answers the phones(whenever that is). The office manager was extremely rude and demeaning when it came to me expressing my concerns. They are extremely unprofessional and only respond to text messages hours after you text them. They aren't only bad, it is a scam. They present themselves as a service provider for Frigidaire. Repair Calls are dispatched to them for which they are paid by Frigidaire to handle the call by diagnosing and repairing the equipment. What these people do is dispatch a person who is not capable to work on the equipment. The person comes into the house, and first acts like he is trying to reset the computer. Then after literally a minute, he says he doesn't have the parts and we need to reschedule with his office. Then they find every reason not to come back. Parts not available, parts discontinued, don't have it under that name, it isn't under warranty etc. So, I call Frigidaire directly and they explain that the contractor never requested parts or submitted a parts list? When I complained to Affordable after talking to Frigidaire twice, the lady (Owner Kelly Hays) wouldn't let me talk, she was so rude and said I was "crazy" and hung up on me. They don't want to fix anything, they just want to collect the visit fee. The guy was in my house for less than 2 minutes! They are literally just dispatching people to say they showed up and collect the visitation fee -great business model. I paid $255 for what was supposed to be a capable person who can fix the dishwasher. Now I have nothing corrected, its been almost three weeks and no refund. I have to go buy a dishwasher. read more

The technicians are absolutely wonderful when they come. However, we got brand new fridge from Home Depot in January. It stopped working a few months later, and Frigidaire sent the claim over to them so they would send someone out to look at it under the warranty. They came this Saturday before Easter and said they needed to order a part for it. Fast forward to last week, someone from the office called and said the part was in and they be out to install it on Thursday so I arranged for someone to be there since they have to be 18 or . The technician called and said he was about 25 minutes away. When he came and looked at the fridge, he said that he did not have the part with him. It was at the office and we would have to call and reschedule another appointment. I called back the same day and left a message and I've called again today and cannot get anyone to return my phone. About 3 weeks ago, I had a service call for the ice maker in my built in freezer. The tech didn't know in advance that it was a 2 person job and didn't have the tools to do it himself. He replaced the inside part of the ice maker and told us to text him the next day if it still wasn't working. I texted and wasn't answered. The next day, I called the business number and left a message, asking to schedule the next service visit. I texted and called about 8-10 times over the next 3 weeks. I got one response asking if I lived in Altoona. I don't. They never called me back. I called my warranty company, who Affordable is contracted through, and they sent them a new work order. They called (my husband) within the hour. They said a service person will be there on Friday (yesterday) and I will get a call in the morning with the 2 hour service window. I had appointments scheduled that day, so I called back to see if I could get an estimate of either morning or afternoon, also to ensure that 2 people were coming. I never got a call back, never got a call the morning of, and no one showed up for the service appointment. read more

Second time repair was made was not home wife was there to let technician in replaced board in back of stove and when stove was pulled out scratch floor Second attempt at repair did not work . Called company and was told technician could not of scratched floor because he didn't pull out stove . Told them I pulled it out for him. I was not here. Company will not take responsibility for damage to floor. Called this morning person answering phone very rude threatening to call police on me for harassment for calling them about problem. He came and moved oven out did repair and oven still didn't work. The pictures you have are the couple food crumbs that fell between stove and cabinets. Then he insults my wife saying that there are rodent dropping and that's what was wrong with stove . I have the so called rodent dropping in a bag . They are food crumbs . When he pulled stove out he scratched floor turning it to the left .to get behind stove it has to be pulled out and turned to get behind it . If your technician didn't pull the stove out then he never did the repair and the warranty company should look into for fraud. Was put in touch with this company through our GE warranty for our dryer and couldn't have had a worse experience. The service tech came out the first time saying he can't work on the dryer because the work order had it listed as an electric dryer and said if he did any work it would void the warranty (spoke with GE, they said they had it listed correctly as gas) after pleading with him he agreed to look at the dryer. He said he had the part in his vehicle to fix the dryer but needed a specific part from GE to not void the warranty. I thought that made sense so I went with it because the tech said the part would be in within just a couple days and then the part would be installed later that week. I then attempted to reach out to their office at least a dozen times over the next 2 weeks and each time I called I either didn't get an answer / call back or, I would be told the part is in their vehicle with their other deliveries and just needed to sort through everything and when the office finally gave us a day the part would be in they got annoyed and said they had always said it would be there that day which they 100% did not. Once we finally got the tech back at our house and he got the new part installed the dryer still didn't work and he said we needed a new motherboard which we would need to order but they may have it nearby and would text me in 30 minutes to let me know the time frame for the part. After waiting a few hours and calling the office with no answer, I called GE directly and they were able to overnight the parts. The tech was able to come back in another week and install the new motherboard but unfortunately that still didn't fix the dryer and he stated he would need to rewire the dryer and would come back in a couple days if I was able to get GE to overnight the parts again which I find insane as one would think if they have a contract with GE, why couldn't they get them overnighted themselves instead of having me spend an hour on the phone with GE? I was able to get GE to send in the parts again which arrived on Monday, I let the tech know and he said he didn't have time until Thurday morning. The tech never showed and texted me saying his vehicle was broken down and would be at my place that afternoon. I still have not heard back from that tech but I just got a text from the office saying they received the parts to fix the dryer. My claim to fix the dryer started on 11/11 and it's now 12/14 and my dryer is still broken. Luckily I was able to plead with GE about how unacceptable this was and they were kind enough to finally agree to replace the dryer all together. We have a newborn baby at home and just purchased the dryer and received zero sense of urgency from the repair company to resolve our issue. I also just received a text saying the tech is no longer with the company however the customer service from the office was even worse than the tech. This is the first negative review I have ever left and the first yelp review I've ever left. I would give 0 stars if possible. read more
